"Divine Beast Vah Ruta"

"Zora Stone Monuments" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview[]

After calming Divine Beast Vah Ruta, Link will be able to speak with Jiahto in the Sleeping Chamber of Zora's Domain. He apologizes for not introducing himself sooner,[2] explaining that he is a historian who studies and preserves Zora history.[3] However, the Stone Monument found in the Sleeping Chamber is in a deteriorated state,[4] and he fears the rest are just as bad.[5]

Jiahto wants to compile the contents of the Stone Monuments into a Book,[6] but due to his old age, traveling to all 10 of them would be difficult.[7] Therefore, he asks Link if he would like Link to find all of the Stone Monuments and report their contents to him.[8]

If Link accepts this task, Jiahto will be grateful.[9] He also shares a rumor that one of the Stone Monuments has the location of a treasure written on it,[10] and should Link find it, he would be allowed to keep it.[11] He reminds Link that the 10 Monuments are located around Zora's Domain,[12] and the Side Quest will begin.

The Stone Monuments can be found at the following locations:

Monument Location
History of the Zora, Part One Along the path west of Luto's Crossing
History of the Zora, Part Two North of Oren Bridge
History of the Zora, Part Three East of Ralis Pond
History of the Zora, Part Four South of Luto's Crossing
History of the Zora, Part Five Zodobon Highlands
History of the Zora, Part Six Ruto Mountain
History of the Zora, Part Seven Zora's Domain
West coast of Ruto Lake
History of the Zora, Addendum 1 Ruto Mountain
History of the Zora, Addendum 2 South of Lulu Lake
Memoir of a Gifted Stonemason Southeast of Upland Zorana

After locating and reading all 10 Stone Monuments, Link can return to Zora's Domain to share their contents with Jiahto.[13] He is amazed by the tales inscribed on the Stone Monuments that Link has helped gather for him.[14] As a reward, Jiahto gives Link a Diamond.[15][note 1] Once this is done, the Side Quest will be completed.
