Temple of Courage

Welcome to the Temple of Courage, where various characters from the Legend of Zelda series battle out on a semi-weekly basis! You, the people, are the deciding factors in these matches. Functionally, all of these battles are popularity contests and not "battles" as such. For instance, in a boss vs. boss fight, we suggest that you vote for the one you like the most rather than whether or not one enemy would beat another in a legit fight. This is only a suggestion, though.

If you have an account and have at least 50 mainspace edits, you can suggest a fight or vote or comment on others on the suggestions sub-article.

Rules

 • You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in a competition between the two combatants that week.
 • You may only vote once.
 • If you are a user, please include your vote in the user section. If you are not a user, please include your vote in the anonymous section. However, any votes put in the anonymous sections will only count as a half vote.
 • When a new fight is created (the process should take no longer than a week, give or take a couple of days), the votes from the last fight will be totaled and winner decided.
 • Please sign your vote (unless you want to be counted as an anonymous vote) with a link to your username after your voting text.
 • Don't try to rig the votes by entering multiple votes; these pages are regularly patrolled and you WILL face consequences if you are caught.
 • A short notification must be made before changing the fight.
 • Please don't use talk templates.

Week 115: Orca vs. Swordsman

Orca
"'Undecided'"
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNN! Brought to you in part by Magic Voodoo Chicken, Inc., it's the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! And this week, we have a battle against two legendary fencers of Zelda mythos! It'll be the swordfight of the ages, broadcasted in Age Dee to maximize the viewing experience! The credentials of these two master instructors of the blade will be announced in the ring! Let us go there, now-like!

In the purple corner is the greatest teacher of the art of the sword on the Great Sea, despite wielding a lance-like implement rather than a sword. A wizened old master, and one of the few still versed in warfare in a time of peace, he instructed the descendant of the legendary Hero of Time in the art of swordplay. Before embarking on the quest that would ultimately result in the defeat of Ganondorf, he gave the hero his first sword. He would also teach the hero the intricacies of the more complex techniques, even teaching him the seldom mastered Hurricane Spin Attack. THIS. IS. OOOOOOOOOORRRRRRCAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

In the brown corner is another revered master of the sword (whose real name is known only to those who have met their end in battle against him), who teaches those worthy (or in the possession of money) in his dojo in Clock Town. For completing his more advanced stages of training, he presents the hero with an item to boost his endurance. Despite being lauded as a man of courage, he (understandably) loses his reserve in the face of the impending destruction of the land of Termina. THIS. IS. THE SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORDSMAN!!!

If your mind isn't blown already, trust me when I say it will be once the fight gets underway. If any rapiers should escape the grip of their masters and begin to freely fly around the arena, do not be alarmed, because great insurance payments are given to those who die. Now that we're all fine with that... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Orca

 1. Allow me to clarify some of this for you: Orca is the Chuck Norris of Zelda. Put anything in front of him and he will kick its butt fifty ways 'till Sunday. His soul-gazing stare alone is an ender of conflicts, if used properly. And look at him in his artistic depiction over there. He's got bloodlust in his eyes, a smug smirk on his face, and is already either praying that you do not continue past your limitations (in which case, you just plain die), or focusing all of his power into his hand to execute the Karate Chop Of World's End. Swordsman is pretty cool and all, especially his Squadalah technique is nothing to scoff at, but he wouldn't last half a second against Orca's Kamehameha Wave. He's nothing but a badarse, and probably has a confident Scotsman's accent to boot. All I can say is... good luck, Swordsman. Because you will need it to beat OOOOOOOOOOOOORCAAAAAAAAAAA! --AuronKaizer! 23:13, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

 8. I bet this guy could fight link forever if he had to! ~User:Majoraswrath1999
 9. Orca is really cool old guy, and he gave me my first sword in my first LoZ game. I appreciated that he would give a sword to a somewhat hyperactive green-dressed little boy. Long live Orca! lunarChild 13:02, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
 10. I don't know how to/If i'm allowed to fix the numbering, so i'm not going to. But we better fix it quick because if orca sees that the numbering in his fight is mixed up he will use the KARATE CHOP OF WORLD'S END ON US. --Hylianhero777 (talk) 13:47, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Week 114: Acro-Bandit vs. Hokbok

Acro-Bandits

Hokbok
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! Brought to you by Palmoral Sunblock, it's the one-hundred-and-fourteenth battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!. This week, we have a battle between two rarely encountered enemies that require repeated usage of weapons to destroy, as they consist of layered segments which must be destroyed one by one. Do not confuse these enemies with the similar strain of cacti, lest you suffer their anger. Let's meet our contestants in the ring!

In the yellow corner are enemies that attack only in groups, and are only found near Lon Lon Ranch. If they spot unsuspecting passers-by, they will burst out form underneath the earth and attack them, while standing atop one another. To fully defeat these enemies, the hero must defeat all of them once their "tower" is "razed". THEY. ARE. AAAAAAAAAAAAACROOOOOOO-BAAAAAAAAAANDIIIIIIIIITS!!!

In the orange corner is a curious multi-segmented enemy that bounces around. When damaged, they send the segment bouncing after the hero in an attempt to hit him, and subsequently quicken their pace, making it a challenge for even the hero of Hylian lineage. THIS. IS. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOKBOOOOOOOOK!!!

There will most definitely be multi-hit combos during this fight, so keep your eye on the Ringside Combo Meter we've installed for just such an occasion. If they hit over 42, ladies and gentlemen, you all win the great prize of unmitigated violence! Yeah! Temple of Courage Industries, Inc. takes no responsibility for attendees hit by dislodged body parts! Now then... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Week 113: King Bulblin vs. Rebonack

"'King Bulblin'"
King Bulblin

Rebonack
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEASANTS AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOOBILITY!!! It is indeed a special battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE (of yore)!!! This week, we have the greatest jousting match in the history of The Legend of Zelda. Two creatures astride... other creatures will battle to see who takes home the Cherished Golden Lance (of yore), or something like that. Let us meet our battle-hardened riders on the central field! Hearken well to these words of wisdom (of yore), friends!

In ye green corner, we have the Ruler of all Bulblins, whose mount is the Ruler of all Bullbos. He serves the wicked usurper of the Twili throne, and battles the hero on many occasions, often defying apparently certain death to return to the field of battle. Upon being bested in the gardens of Hyrule Castle, he acknowledges him as the stronger side and provides the means for Link's entry into the castle, no longer the servant of the false king. THIS. IS. KIIIIIIIIIIING BUUUUUUUUUUUUULBLINNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

In ye blue corner, we have a Guardian of the Great Palaces of Hyrule, and a leader of the feared Iron Knuckles. Clad in blue armor, wielding a huge lance and riding a pale blue horse, this powerful knight deters the hero in his quest on a multitude of occasions. Upon the loss of his mount, he engages the hero in melee combat to the bitter end. THIS. IS. REBOOOOOOOOOOOOOONAAAAAAAAAACK!!!

These two riders are getting impatient, so as soon as the King gives the word, the battle will begin. *waits* Oh certainly sire, take thy time cleaning up that spilled mead (of yore). Well, neither the fighters nor the spectators can abide any more delay. I may get beheaded for this, but LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!!!

 1. I find his name awesome (despite the fact that it's probably incorrect or whatever) and he was a challenging fight(s), not like that bloated, overstayed-his-welcome slapstick element that was King Bulblin. Lances are also way cooler than axes. Not the Bass kind, though. --AuronKaizer! 19:53, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 2. He has a floating horse made of metal. Is their any reason more than that needed? - McGillivray227 20:11, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 3. I will not be voting for the creepy kidnapper. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:34, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 4. I died once on Twilight Princess, and it was from the joust thing with King Bulblin...Also, as McGee said, Rebonack has a cool, floating, metal horse. TheMidna Laughing 20:37, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 5. EVIL WIN! KING BULBIN SECRETLY GOOD... EVIL WIN!!! AmazingLinkLink Artwork 1 (Ocarina of Time) 20:38, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 6. According to that artwork he's left handed. That coupled with him being from Zelda II sparks all my prejudice when voting. Plus he's just way better then tubby over there Oni Dark Link 22:30, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 7. I haven't played either game, but I think Rebonack looks cooler. And I agree with McGillivary. --The One And Only Guitar Hero Talk to TOAOGH You can't believe everything online, that's what started WW1 23:32, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 8. When mounted, King Bulblin has no weapon, giving Rebonack the clear advantage. When engaging in melee combat, King Bulbin uses an axe, and Rebonack uses a sword, which beats axes in Fire Emblem. Jedimasterlink (talk) 23:44, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 9. I started to type my vote in the King Bulblin section, but I can't. Rebonack deserves the win. I also agree with McGillivary.--Ingo the great (talk) 23:49, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
 10. See King Bulbin is cool and all, but not as cool as Rebonack. And Rebonack actually has a cool orginal mount, unlike Lord Bulbo.-- C2 / CC 01:02, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
 11. Despite having never reached this point in Zelda II, the truth of the matter is that King Bulblin just isn't a very enthralling character. Not bad necessarily, but from what I know of Rebonack, he's just, well, better. Or something. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:18, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
 12. He was actually one of the coolest bosses in a game that was actually challenging. --Birdman5589 (talk) 03:33, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
 13. He's a dude who has a flying horse. I love horses.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 12:36, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
 14. Link can take Bulbin on with horseback and is a fiar fight. Now THIS guy Link has to take him off of the horse first! WITH ONLY HIS SWORD! Need I continue?PhoenixdaughterAM 14:30, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

 1. Rebonack could beet king bulblin blind folded
 2. While I've never heard of this guy Rebonack, he looks more interesting than the green guy whose name I forgot. Though he was quite annoying in Twilight Princess. So my vote goes to this guy!
 3. Bot that I fought this guy, I like him better.. I guess because of the horse.. King Bulbin or whatever doesn't really stand out that much to me..
 4. While I have never played Adventures of Link, I am an Iron Knuckle fan. Besides, I often got annoyed with crashing into Lord Bulbo during the jousting segment that required the bow.
 5. Rebonack looks pretty strong! I don't know much about him but I think he could beat King Bulbin!
 6. I have always had a hard time with Zelda II and I finally got it together about a month ago and am almost done with the game I always die at least once on Rebonack when I face him. Twilight Princess was just plain easy and I never did get stuck like I did in Zelda II and King Bulbin was one of the easiest "bosses" (if you could call this weakling a boss) in the game. My vote is for Rebonack!!!
 7. It's all been said!

Took even less time for the Bulbins to surface than I had anticipated. The End is near, people. --AuronKaizer! 20:04, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

It's a long week and this will likely not hold up. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 01:18, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the TP fans will come out in droves.-- C2 / CC 01:23, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

XD I love how Emperor Jami thinks we're hating on TP by voting against King Bulblin...especially when the alternative is Zelda II. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:31, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Meep. i dont know who to vote for yet Meep Meep (talk) 03:39, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Meep Meep. You should meep vote for meep meep meep King Bulblin. Only 20% of the human race can reach Rebonack's boss battle!!! At least you can get a taste of King B's awesomeness. Do you meep meep see what I'm meep meep talking about? I added a lot of meeps to prove my point!-- Black Dragon Laguz 20:12, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Anyone with all working body parts can make it to Rebonack. It just takes some patience. Once you use the system the games isn't all that hard at all Oni Dark Link 20:39, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

XD look at anon 2 on Rebonack I think we all should vote like that. I like the introduction --Majora's Wrath ArtworkReincarnation 23:18, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Haha --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 23:26, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

It took longer then I thought it would for the TPers to come and swing the votes. --Birdman5589 (talk) 01:34, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Here come the TP-ers! @MWR: I can imagine everyone voting like that. It would be really hilarious!--Black Dragon Laguz 22:55, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
Why does evry1 hate TP ?--94.108.170.132 13:25, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
It's not so much that people hate TP as much as they are annoyed by the people who love it almost religiously. Jedimasterlink (talk) 19:04, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Man, this isn't going to end well for me... --The One And Only Guitar Hero Talk to TOAOGH You can't believe everything online, that's what started WW1 00:03, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
