Votes for Aryll

  1. Aryll wasn't as annoying as Ilia. (though both of them were captured.) kirbykirby56
  2. I so prefer Arryl Harry master sword123
  3. So Cute! Oni Dark Link 22:55, November 25, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Just a generally more likable character. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:13, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I found Ilia annoying. Actually I found all the kids in TP annoying. To me Ilia felt like a concept that had to be cut short and was left incomplete. I find myself cringing less with Aryll than Ilia, so Aryll gets my vote. IceFlame 08:02, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Aryll is just a better character. Green Rupee 15:37, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Aryll knows that it's better to give Link his item sooner rather than later. The Horse Call would have been more useful than the Telescope if it was given in the early-game, but as is, I got more use out of the Telescope. I don't think I used the Horse Call even once since the Twilight Portals were so much more efficient than riding Epona by that point. Aryll was also the more likeable character; I didn't particularly care for the hinted romance between Link and Ilia. Jedimasterlink (talk) 08:36, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
  8. I'm still scarred by link's creepy vision of Ilia falling in Lanayru's spring. --Hydropanda (talk) 01:55, November 29, 2012 (UTC)
  9. Haven't played Wind Walker, but Ilia was so annoying that every time I saw her I wanted to kill her (all attempts failed), so Ayrll gets my vote. User:Poe Busters
  10. My very first vote, I'm choosing Aryll because she's more of a supporting and courageous character than Ilia. Ilia's cool and all, but she doesn't have that adventurous spark Aryll has in her characteristics. --Vaati the Wind Demon (talk) 03:12, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
  11. Ilia getting captured was totally random. Aryll had a more inportant role in the game, you don't even have to get Ilia's memory back to beat the game, you can just let her stand in the sanctuary wondering who she is forever!(Hookshooter)
  12. Aryll is a lot more likable, plus she is not Ilia. ~Minish (talk) 13:35, December 8, 2012 (UTC)
  13. For the sole reason that she never took my horse. Ike 21:54, December 10, 2012 (UTC)
  14. Come on... Risking your life for some broad will never be has rewarding has saving your little sister's life!!! Aryll this one is for you...--Longhorn Velez (talk) 19:53, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
  15. Aryll is just adorable!! Without her Link would not have got caught up in the mess that he ended up in... Ilia just steals horses and forgets herself. TimboJimbo(talk) 11:21, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
  16. Aryll gives you a telescope, Llia steals your horse... not much of a contest there, in addition it's not how much i like aryll it's how much I dislike Llia for stealing stuff from me and making me go on boring quests. User:Majoras revenge!!! (User talk:Majoras revenge!!!)
  17. Much as I love Ilia, Aryll is just so endearing to me, and adorable. Plus, if not for her, I would never have set out in the first place. --NilkadNaqadah
  18. Aryll is downright adorable, and for an added bonus, she the Hero of Time's little sister. Also I got a bad vibe off of Ilia. Also Aryll didn't steal yo horse (there may not have been a horse in Wind Waker, but that's beside the point). EpicSaiyajin (talk)

  1. While Ilia never gave me any motivation in TP (with characters like Colin, Midna and Zelda filling that void), I could feel the urgency in saving Aryll. She's a more developed character and, in my opinion, means more to the player in terms of rescue motivation.
  2. So cute !
  3. While I got more use out of the Horse Call than I did out of the Telescope, I still prefer Aryll. I can't put my finger on it, but I can remember Aryll more clearly. Probably because of a combination of her dresses (Ilia's clothes and hair are so...bland...) and her general role in the story.
  4. Ilia is ugly, Aryll is cute.
  5. I like Wind Waker better than Twilight Princess, and Ilia was a boring character anyway. And the telescope Aryll gives Link is VERY helpful for exploring each sector of the Great Sea entirely.
  6. Illa is annoying nuff said
  7. I've always liked Aryll's character. Wind Waker is quite nostalgic for me, as it's the first game I ever beat. The kid sister gets mah vote!
  8. I know a lot of people don't like Ilia for silly reasons, but as far as plot goes, I prefer the cute and sympathetic little sister to the one with the more and more common amnesia trip. Liked Ilia's character, both of who she was before and after she lost her memory, but Aryll always gave me more motivation to save her and the world. She's not only related to you, but she clearly cares about you more than Ilia did :P.
  9. Aryll! she's your lil' sister, and she is waaay cuter and has better hair than Illa.
  10. Aryll was a cute little girl with sweet seagull powers! Ilia was just...meh.
  11. I think that Aryll was awesome! As someone said earlier, it was a bit more urgent in saving her than when you had to go save Ilia. While Ilia might sort of be a love interest in the game, who would pass up the opportunity to save the cute little sister?
  12. This one was a toughie...but I have to go with Aryll because Ilia could get annoying in the beginning of the game, what with her taking your horse and yelling at you all the time. Plus, I like TWW as a whole a lot more than TP, and that includes Aryll over any other character. I was more motivated to save Aryll, in part because she was my sister and in part because, as stated above, Ilia was pretty annoying and never even apologized
  13. Aryll for the win.
  14. Love Windwaker, Love Aryll
  15. Truth to be told, I was more intent on finding cats than saving Ilia.
  16. Aryll!!!
  17. Aryll. Wind Waker. 'Nuff Said.
  18. Ilia's personality + forgetability = BORING!
  19. Aryll because I think Link having a sister was awesome and I found myself wanting to see more of her by the end of the game
  20. Aryll was pretty cool, and Link trying to protect her as her big brother was sweet. I love Toon Link and liked the idea of a Link with a family. Plus, Wind Waker was a much more lighthearted yet darker game than TP, story-wise. Also, Illia was just the childhood love interest with amnesia. Like we haven't heard THAT one before.
  21. I preferred Wind Waker, personally. She and Link had a really cute relationship, too. Plus she gave me that handy telescope, and was just a general sweetie.
  22. Talk about abandoned. This place is DEAD.
  23. I love Wind Waker, and I love Aryll. It's great that when Link finally has some family, he has an adorable little sister. She was cute, and I actually found the Telescope quite useful. Also, Aryll doesn't steal my horse like Ilia does. For that alone, Ilia sucks forever.
  24. As a character, Aryll is better, and is an allusion to Marin from Link's Awakening with her love of seagulls. As a plot instigator, Aryll is also better than Ilia in that, first, as Link's sister, he has more obligation to save her, and two, Link rescues her halfway through the game after waging a one-man-war on the Forsaken Fortress, and there is no annoying sidequest to complete her story. Jahoan 01:16, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

Votes for Ilia

  1. Surprisingly, this is a very hard decision for me to make. While I absolutely adore both games, and prefer Aryll over Ilia, I have to go with Ilia. Something about her role in Twilight Princess, while it made me absolutely hate her, I really liked. Honestly, I'm still not sure why she gets kidnapped, and frankly, I hated having to find her. When it comes down to it, even though I prefer Aryll to Ilia, I'm gonna have to go with Ilia for reasons I don't even know. It just feels right, y'know? – Jazzi talk 21:48, November 25, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Always gotta vote for the underdog! : D Quite frankly, I disliked both characters in different ways -- though, I prolly disliked Ilia more, she did have a more prominent role throughout the game. – Wattz2000 18:16, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Love TP, Hate the "Toon Link" Games. Easy choice. I also actually like Ilia as a character, she is a lot like Zelda at the beginning of Skyward Sword in her relationship to Link. --Tiero (talk) 19:05, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Link and close siblings/relatives just doesn't work... at least, it hasn't, so far. While Ilia felt a bit too much like a footnote in the grand scheme of things, at least they made *something* out of making the rescue seem worthwhile. --AuronKaizer! 17:12, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
  5. Aryll is likeable enough, but Illia just had more of a story. It was a (fairly) interesting way to do a rescue scenario, at least moreso than Aryll's.-- C2 / CC 23:24, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Ilia catalyzed the story and had depth of character. She returned later on as a vital part of the plot instead of leaving halfway through and was part of Link's earning the Horse Call. Aryll just gave Link a reason to leave Outset Island. --Jarmihi (talk) 15:48, January 16, 2013 (UTC)
  7. While I hated Illia, I always hated Aryll more, since I always think of Link as an orphan, and him having a family doesn't work right for me.Geminis11(talk)
  8. Ilia was annoying, but she had a more developed character. She was more interesting than the alternative; Aryll was a virtual plot-device. (RadiantSoul)
  9. Ilia was way more interesting than Ayrll. Ilia wasn't some damsel in distress created for the sole purpose of that role, unlike Ayrll. (Link The Hero of Time)
  10. Ilia had a little more substance, though I think that was because she was pounded into my head during the three hour tutorial TP had going on. Also, she has more potential than Ayrll: the sister can only be a sister, while a childhood friend can be so much more. --IHaveNoIdea (talk) 12:45, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
  11. Aryll is pretty much just link's stupid little sister from a family he shouldn't have, Illia is Link's Childhood friend, a farm girl, and possible love interest so she's pretty much Saria, Malon, and Zelda all rolled into one. Also that same combination is used for Skyward Sword Zelda, who is probably the best Zelda in the franchise. KnightmareS-C075 (talk) 00:36, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Easy choice. She's a much better character, and has a larger role than just needing to be rescued.
  2. Uh.......
  3. I think since she actually HELPED Link, she should be chosen
  4. It was really close for me. I have never played Wind Waker, but I liked TP a lot, and although Aryll is Link's sister, I enjoyed Ilia as a character. She may have been really annoying and not as interesting as Colin, I fell like i should vote for her.
  5. This was a very strange decision for me. I liked Aryll, but you never really got to know her. Illia was(even though you knew her for an hour, max)a good friend. She gave your horse protection, for pete's sake. People are saying that the whole journey of Wind Waker started because of Aryll. I agree with that, but Illia and Link's friends are also the reason that Twilight Princess started. Heck, Ilia had took an arrow to the calf.
  6. I have to choose Ilia just because her story was more tragic and meaningful in Twilight Princess than Aryll's was in Windwaker. Even though I'm pissed at her for getting mad at Link for accidentally hurting Epona and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But anyway, Ilia simply delivered more to the storyline in the end.
  7. Ilia actually helps Link out. Aryll really isn't present in the game that much.
  8. I prefer Ilia to Aryll, because she helps Link. For example giving him the Horse Call, which is really useful when you need Epona around. Her story makes more sense to the game's plot and is a part of it. Also Link cared for her all the time and in my opinion rescuing a dear friend touches me more than rescuing a sister. You can't replace friends and that's why I ended up giving my vote to Ilia.
  9. Basically just going with this, because I found the characterizaton in general deeper in TP.
  10. She seemed more fleshed out to me and I like Twilight Princess more in general
  11. 1. I don't like wind waker and 2. I have an annoying sister, so I'm sort of biased.
  12. Ilia, she had a more developed character and she and Link looked like they were really in love.
  13. Ilia actually helps Link. Aryll just can't do anything. It's like, "by the way your sister is randomly kidnapped." And Ilia plays a role in the game. And may I just say,Ilia is actually hot!
  14. Haven't played either, But she sounds cooler than the other one.
  15. Ilia because, as mentioned, her character is developed more and also, i love how kind she is to prince Ralis, how she is more concerned for some stranger of another species than she is for her own memory.
  16. Ilia is generally a more likeable character and she helps to progress the story very well

This reminds me strongly of a fight I came up with before I forgot my password and lost the email address for my account.

Just out of curiosity, what was the fight? 23:48, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
It was the kidnappers of these fine young ladies - Helmaroc King vs King Bulbin
Had to tear through the archives to recall the details since it was over two years ago, but that was a good, close fight. Sorry to hear about your account. Since you won't be using the other one, you could always make a new account and use it without penalty. Jedimasterlink (talk) 08:59, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

I was gonna change the fight, but then I took an arrow to the calf? – Jazzi talk 18:06, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Did everyone take an arrow in the calf?

Yes, we did. More importantly, we haven't exactly gotten the introduction for the fight with the most supports so we weren't able to change it. And right now I can't change it due to some personal life events, but hopefully next week. – EnemyPeacemaker 13:54, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, I never meant to sound rude or anything. Thanks for explaining, though.

Oh, don't apologize, I didn't take it rudely! I probably came across as irritated, due to what was going on at that time, but I really hope you don't think I thought you were being rude. I was trying to continue the joke, but with what happened it was kind of bland. Anyways, I (hope) to get a new fight up this Sunday! – EnemyPeacemaker 21:09, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

I hope so too.

Um, how long is this fight going to be up? I don't want to sound like a jerk but this has been up pretty long. RedPelican (talk) 17:55, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

Week 173: Marin vs. Nayru

14 < 15
LLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAADIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEES AAAAAANNNND GEEEEEEENNNTLLLLEMMEEEEEEENNNNN!!! Get your fingers on your keyboards and ready yourselves for the 173rd monumental clash in Zeldapedia's own TEMPLE. OF. COOOOUUUUUUURRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGE! This time, we welcome two ladies whose voices enchant men and beasts alike! One is an island girl who dreams of taking flight; the other is secretly a mystic with powers over time itself! Let us take a closer look at our contestants!

In the red corner, we have a singer from the island of Koholint. After Link washed up on the island's shore, this compassionate young woman rescued him and nursed him back to health. She continues to aid him throughout his quest, even teaching him the song needed in order to wake the Wind Fish. In fact, she actually tries to wake the Wind Fish herself, but is captured by monsters and must be rescued by Link. Returning for her third contest in the Temple of Courage, THIS. IS. MMMMAAAAAAAARRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNN!

In the blue corner is a woman named after the Goddess of Wisdom. While she masquerades as a mere diva, this woman is, in fact, the Oracle of Ages herself. However, she was possessed by the evil sorceress Veran and was forced to use her powers to create an age of darkness and light the Flame of Sorrow. Link later managed to save her, and in return, she taught him the final tune for the Harp of Ages. In true Oracle of Ages fashion, let's welcome her by saying her name with an unnecessarily high number of exclamation points! THIS. IS. NNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!

Votes for Marin

  1. I liked the fact that in Link's Awakening, you could actually steal from the shop. Even though you were killed the next time you went (which is hilarious), Marin decides to call you "THIEF" for the rest of the game. This is my reason for choosing Marin. HyperTalon
  2. Actually has development; never mind the fact that she's one of the awesomest, lovable and well-characterized people in the entire series. And never trust anyone with an unnatural hair colour, people. --AuronKaizer! 20:09, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  3. While I really like Nayru, Marin was actually a good character. ~~Sir RealDekadin.gif
  4. I just kinda like Marin a lot. ~Minish (talk) 22:49, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I thought Marin was a great character, but I never got the chance to play Oracle of Ages.--Kingkillerbee (talk) 06:28, October 15, 2012 (UTC)
  6. I like them both, but I choose Marin instead of Nayru since I wasn't sure about Nayru yet since I am currently playing Link's Awakening DX and not much playing on the Oracle of Ages/Seasons.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) FE4_Junior_Lord_Sprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 01:30, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Since I don't feel strongly one way or the other, I'll just offset the votes of those that think we're comparing Marin to one of the Golden Goddesses. Jedimasterlink (talk) 01:20, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
  8. I'm gonna have to go with Marin. Mostly because her artwork is less annoying. Also, Nayru isn't the Goddess, she's the Oracle. Ike 18:04, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
  9. Seems like Nayru doesn't have any true power herself, and that the only power she has is in the instrument she plays. Nayru is also the reason for the downfall of Labrynna, while Marin does nothing but good for her isle and the Wind Fish. --Hydropanda (talk) 02:57, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
  10. Holy timestamps this fight needs to be called. This is a vote against Nayru more than a vote for "Marin" or whatever her name is.-- C2 / CC 00:49, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Marin is one of my favorite characters, I've never heard of Nayru but Marin is the best even if i did know who Nayru was
  2. She has a lot more character development, and a much more touching story. She's Links dream girl!
  3. Both are excellent choices, but Marin has much more depth then Nayru in the games.
  4. I keep forgetting to play the Oracle games, and I like Marin a bit more than I like Nayru. Too bad we don't see her in any other games. Oh yeah, her trophy is in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was surprised when I unlocked her trophy and I didn't even know her then. It was surprising enough I actually unlocked a trophy, since my brother did most of 'em..
  5. You got Marin !
  6. Tropical babe who saves Link's life, or damsel in distress who gets captured and possessed? Gonna have to go with the tropical babe. Oh and for everyone who keeps saying 'Nayru is better because she's a GODDESS!!!', the Nayru of Oracle of Ages is NOT the Goddess of Wisdom.
  7. To me the most emotionally connectable character for Link in the series, and I think the only one he actually falls in love with, and who really reflects both of Link's 'real world' loves, Malon and Zelda. This was a tough choice for me, Nayru is my favourite goddess, but hasn't meant as much to me a player as Marin, even in Oracle of Ages.
  8. Marin's just such a well-developed character, and she plays a very active role in Link's Awakening, interacting with the hero throughout the whole game. She was really the first character in the series with a compelling, fleshed-out story.

Votes for Nayru

  1. Because I've used the nick Nayru on IRC for quite some time. – Jazzi (talk) 18:17, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  2. This is a tough one since I haven't got the chance to play any of the games. I guess Nayru wins my vote for some reason. Green Rupee 18:28, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Just look at that hair. Oni Dark Link 19:47, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I dunno, I don't really have a strong feeling or reasoning behind this. I just like Nayru more for whatever reason. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:50, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I'm familiar with Minish Cap, so I would feel bad about not voting for the young lady that I bought a house for... Wait, why did I buy her a house again? Kapodaco! (talk) 20:32, October 15, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Although I really enjoyed Link's Awakening and haven't ever (sadly) really played the Oracle games, my vote is gonna go for Nayru since I have had a falling out with both of my copies of Link's Awakening breaking, and am biased against the game at this moment. : 3 – Wattz2000 01:10, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
  7. I give my nod to Nayru for the simple fact that she actually exists outside of Link's subconscious. Marin was only a part of a dream. --Sychotik1313 (talk) 13:48, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
  8. I don't know why I prefer her. (User:Geminis11
  9. While I liked Marin as a character, she wasn't as key a character, nor as developed as Nayru. I'm voting for the Oracle. IceFlame 21:37, November 25, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Nayru can travel through time. Marin can entrance animals by singing. Nayru wins.
  2. Several other users already said it, so I'll recap: I don't know why I'm voting over here, but I feel like I should. Although it's really close for me. And not just in the votes.
  3. I haven't played the game, but ive read the official manga and read the entry here and NAYRU sounds like a great character. She also looks kinda hot.
  4. Hmmmm Goddess of wisdom or some random chick? I think I'll go with the goddess....
  5. i dont need to explane my self i just like Nayru dont ask why
  6. A goddess that created law or a girl whos father is sensitive racoon. Isnt that a tough choice..
  7. Marin is nothing then a plain animal lover, but Nayru knows how to time travel and do cool stuff!
  8. I'd have to vote for Nayru, after all, she is the Oracle of Ages!~Thoren Quill
  10. A lady able to travel through time, or a girl who can possess animals? Hmmmmm...
  11. A normal girl who can possess animal versus a GODDESS? Oh come on! Nayru can totes win! She can travel through time for Hylia's sake
  12. I don't know why but I just don't really like Marin. Nayru gets my vote.

Week 172: Koloktos vs. Stallord

16.5 > 8
LLLLLLLLLAAAAADDIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEES AAAAAAAANNND GEEEEEEEENTLEMEEEEENNNN!!! Prepare yourselves for the 172nd grand battle in Zeldapedia's very own TEMPLE. OF. COOOOUUURRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGE! This week, we shall see a clash of truly epic proportions! Two of the most well-received bosses in the entire Legend of Zelda universe will now duke it out! Two revived monstrosities, trapped in the ground up to their waists like Dante's devil! But their earthen prisons shall not keep them apart for this truly earth-shaking battle!

In the gold corner, we have the guardian of the Flame of Courage. First seen as a shattered, golden idol, this ancient automaton was activated by the dark magic of the demon lord Ghirahim. With its six arms, it wields massive blades in battle and summons hordes of goblin corpses to fight alongside it...only to destroy them with its own attacks. Please give a warm welcome to the Ancient Cistern's titanic swordsman! THIS. IS. KOOOLLLOOOOKKTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS!

In the sorta-light-brown corner is one of the most popular bosses in the entire series! Locked away in the depths of Arbiter's Grounds, this fossil slept for countless years until it was reanimated by King Zant! With the power of the Twilight Sword pumping new life into its long-dead bones, this skeletal serpent attacks Link with its legions of undead soldiers and dark fire! Even when its body is destroyed and its spine is splintered, its head soars across the battlefield until the sword embedded in its skull is finally smashed! THIS. IS. STAAAALLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRD!!!

Votes for Koloktos

  1. First! (Lol-old-joke) This was a tough choice, but seeing as I've yet to face Stallord in battle myself, I'll go with the boss I have more experience with. Just can't beat that jazzy boss music either. Kapodaco! (talk) 15:17, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  2. I loved both LOZ: TP and Stallord, but I felt that the fight with him was not challenging. The boss battles LOZ: SS, Koloktos in particular, were a new breed in challenging boss battles. Koloktos gets my vote for sheer challenge rating. Sychotik1313 (talk)
  3. Stallord was a fun and creative fight, but when it comes right down to it, the fight really doesn't have a lot of substance. Koloktos is more fast-paced and exciting, and it's more of an objective challenge. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 15:48, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  4. As much as I love Stallord, Koloktos is one of the few bosses in the series who truly made my jaw drop to the floor. The battle with Koloktos was simply amazing; it was challenging, a ton of fun, it took place in one of the best dungeons in the entire series, and using that giant sword was Koloktos was a truly awe-inspiring boss. ~~Sir RealDark Link (Oracle of Ages).gif
  5. Koloktos is probably one of my most favorite bosses ever. Green Rupee
  6. I honestly don't remember feeling anything in particular in regards to the Stallord fight, but I loved Koloktos, so there you go. (Also, extending it a bit, I remember being relatively neutral about the Arbiter's Grounds but liking the Ancient Cistern a lot.) ~Minish (talk) 20:34, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Let's just say Koloktos touched parts of me I didn't even know I had. The experience of wielding that Massive Sword is something I don't think I'll ever forget. Oni Dark Link 21:25, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  8. I tend to vote which one would win in a fight here/ difficulty level with bosses, so Koloktos would be the obvious point. The only necesarilly challenging parts of Stallord was the annoying spikes and Stalltroops, and those weren't even him. Koloktos on the other hands (hahaha) is challenging without his minions. Fighting wise, a Fossil like Stallord would even put a dent in Koloktos metal. Koloktos could easily smash through that.--Dragon Emperor Ryuga (talk) 03:16, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
  9. I thought Stallord was a cool looking boss who wasn't that challenging to fight, while Koloktos was a cool looking boss who was challenging (without being cheap). He was also the last boss in the lightning round for me when I was going for the Hylean Shield and I survived with one heart left and it was Epic!!! TimboJimbo 14:29, September 24, 2012 (GMT)
  10. The Stallord fight was unique; it had us doing things we don't typically do in boss battles. But I must say that Koloktos is probably my favorite boss battle ever. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 18:47, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
  11. Tough; the Stallord fight was pretty awesome, but nothing compares to ripping off a boss' swords, and using them to hack at his weak spot. Very cool. —Ceiling Master 21:56, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
  12. Koloktos was more challenging, more fun, etc. The Cult of Lord Stal shall be put in its place! Jedimasterlink (talk) 22:28, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Koloktos was more fun.
  2. Koloktos was from my all-time favorite Zelda game: Skyward Sword. Also, Koloktos was a hard battle for me and gave me a challenge.
  3. I'm pretty sure I said this the last time that Koloktos was in a fight but (*ahem*) FREAKING GIANT SCIMITARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. It took me FOREVER to beat this guy, so he has my vote XD
  5. I was like, yeah take that, now you've lost your axes! And then it got better:P
  6. As cool as Stallord was, Koloktos was more fun to take down.
  7. Koloktos was so fun to beat.
  8. Koloktos. Definitely.
  9. Koloktos, because the giant sword is amazing and epictastic and win and all sorts of other awesomes.

Votes for Stallord

  1. I quite enjoyed the Stallord fight. And I can't get to the Koloktos fight due to my Wii having broke. But I'm going to vote for Stallord because I enjoyed the fight and I also had a nightmare before I got to the fight about him. – Jazzi (talk) 13:39, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Stallord. Just look at him. I think this might be the coolest looking boss in the series. He fits the whole mood of his dungeon perfectly. While I remember the fight with Koloktos more clearly (due more to the fact it is more recent in my memory, not just because it was more memorable), Stallord is just a better idea. HyperTalon
  3. Because he didn't wear out his welcome by my having to fight him several times in one playthrough. Being a more awesome and fun boss fight than Koloktos in general is just a bonus. It's quite obvious they ripped off this fight from an unneccessary adaptation of the worst Indiana Jones movie, anyway.--AuronKaizer! 19:15, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Stallord is actually like scary or creepy, unlike Koloktos whos just ugly.--troopbarrelthrow! 11:14, September 27, 2012 (UTC)
  5. I liked the Spinner better than the Whip, even though the former was only useful in this dungeon. Ike 00:36, October 1, 2012 (UTC)

  1. Stallord was in the better game and his fight was longer with more variation in it. Koloktos was challenging but once you knew what to do it wasn't that hard. Stallord was in a giant pit of quick sand and you had to get right next to him to do anything, and then his head chases you around the temple. Koloktos has the unarmed zombie pigs while Stallord has mumies with sheilds and swords. And who doesn't like a giant skeleton?
  2. Stallord was just a more fun, more memorable boss. And his own weapons weren't his downfall, unlike a certain Ancient Automaton I could mention.
  3. I remember my fight against Stallord vividly. It was 9:00 at my friends house. After the creepiest dungeon ever, I knew what would happen with the colossal skeleton. It came to life after Zant stabs it, and then the kinda difficult battle began. It dies, with the skull left. I paid NO ATTENTION TO THAT. Suddenly the whole freak laughter ensues, and it took me a while to register this. But it scared me initially. Long story short, it was a freakin cool boss to fight. Although I enjoyed very much hacking away with a huge sword at a boss, I gotta hand it to Stallord for looking much cooler.
  4. I liked Stallord because his disembodied head starts flying around the arena shooting fireballs. Koloktos's head didn't do that.
  5. I liked the fight and thought it was really fun, while Koloktos annoyed me to no end. Well, OK, the sword slashing was fun, and... Yes, I do think the Fun-O-Meter was about the same for both of them, but... Okay, fine! It's sort of a pity vote! But at least it isn't for the side I expected (read my Peanut Gallery comment)!
  6. Stallord is funny. Koloktus is kinda annoying.

Peanut Gallery

Wow, I'm torn. I was coming here to pity vote (having read the archives of this and the Suggestions page) but I'm pleasantly surprised. Not that I mean any offense to voters on either side. I suppose I'll have to check back soon.

And...who, exactly, are you? ~~Sir RealStrange Hand (Oracle of Ages).gif

Week 171: Midna vs. Tetra

15 > 6
LLLLLLLLLLLLAAADIEEES AND GEEEENTLEMEEEENNNNNNNN!!! Get ready for the 171st epic face-off in the TEMPLE. OF. CCCOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGE! This week, two pint-sized princesses in disguise step into the ring to duke it out for the coveted title of...character who wins this week.

In the mint corner is the mysterious princess of the Twilight Realm. Struck down and driven from her land by the evil king Zant, this little imp tried to use Link to regain her rightful place on the throne. She started out selfish and bratty, but eventually softened up and aided Link in his battle against Ganondorf. Please welcome the Twilight Princess herself! THIS. IS. MIIIIIIIIDNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

In the byzantium corner, you'll see the leader of a fearsome gang of pirates. After aiding Link in finding his sister, she later returned to help with the rescue and attempted to assist Link in his battle with Ganondorf. Following her miserable failure at this, the diminutive damsel was revealed to secretly be Princess Zelda! She had remained hidden all these years, sporting a disguise so good even she didn't seem to know who she really was! She later returned to this form in Phantom Hourglass, and people in New Hyrule now pray to her! THIS. IS. TEEETRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Votes for Midna

  1. Add together an interesting design, likable personality, intriguing backstory, great development, and the fact that she's arguably the best companion Link's ever had, and...yeah. Midna is one of the best Legend of Zelda characters of all time. ~~Sir RealBathing Subrosian.gif
  2. Dat... helmet. --AuronKaizer! 22:03, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Midna has a great character arc throughout Twilight Princess; said arc is easily one of the best in the whole series. Tetra, as interesting as she is, falls flat as soon as Daphnes reveals her true identity. Jedimasterlink (talk) 02:21, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Princess Zelda as a pirate? What a twist! Too bad it's too creative to be taken seriously! Midna wins for one reason: ZONE-SAMA. Kapodaco! (talk) 05:16, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
  5. Midna is way cooler than Tetra. She also actually accompanies Wolf Link into battle and is useful because she lets use you warp to different areas. Unlike Tetra who seems to be tough at first but spends the latter half of the game hiding in a basement and getting kidnapped. CABAL (talk) 10:39, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
  6. I like Tetra a lot, but at the same time I think she never really lives up to her potential as a character. Neither she nor her crew ever do anything particularly impressive. Midna's character arc really goes places, though, and while I like Tetra more as a person Midna is definitely the stronger character. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 11:34, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Midna at least develops as a character. Tetra pretty much stays the same throughout the game. Ike 15:39, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
  8. A better all around character who develops more throughout the course of the game. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 16:30, September 15, 2012 (UTC)
  9. MidnA IS BETTER!!! also on a related note: people that dislike midna are: BAD AND NEED TO BE FIRMLY SCOLDED. my case rests. --User:Majoras revenge!!!

  1. I've never played Wind Waker, so I can't really say much about Tetra, but I really like Midna. I liked her when she was selfish because of her attitude, and she really helped me on my first playthrough of TP.
  2. I like Midna mainly because she actually does something. Tetra seems like she just always gets kidnaped, but Midna makes it so you can do so many things you normally can't. Midna also is much, much better at not identifying herself while everyone seems to know that Tetra is Princess Zelda. Tetra is really more like a sailor than a pirate.
  3. I like Midna more than Tetra because she is tougher and she is the Twilight Princess.
  4. Midna is better.
  5. When has Tetra ever done anything as cool as teleporting a volcanic boulder several times the height of Link or a huge chunk of a stone bridge? Never. That's why Midna is better.
  6. Midna is WAY better. She is in my favourite LOZ game, has cool powers, and is all around my favourite charact of the series.
  7. What con Tetra do? Midna Can grab items, target enemies for a super attack, occasionally grant you further jump, and with the fused shadow become a freakin' awesome four armed monster, and all for the low price of riding on your back. Honestly all Tetra can do is help you while your sailing, I guess I havent played WW, but honestly Twighlight princess or pirate princess Twilight easily wins. She also reminded me of Navi.
  8. Midna is definitely a better character. I mean seriously, Tetra was Princess Zelda all along? Lolwat
  9. Midna cause she's better and don't you forget it also midna would win. ps: it's midna is the best!!!
  10. They both had the legendary wink, and Tetra came first, but I don't think you can beat Midna's great twists, engaging character, and the conflict of whether she's good or evil. Both princess are arrogant and leaders, but the Twilight Princess' personality definitely felt more believable. And the mysteries of the Twili were infinitely more involving and haunting than the cranky pirate princess. Vote goes to Midna totally Midna she has a great design an interesting back story and a great companion.
  11. Midna is evil but in a fun way not to mention a killer story to go with that face and in a fight Midna would smash Tetras head into the wall a few times with twilight magic before she could even move also midna has true flaws that allow us to truly connect with her as a person and is the only ending in any game but fi's that made me cry
  12. Awesome character, but I've never understood her tooth...-Gorontunic (me)

Votes for Tetra

  1. Tetra's a total pro. Oni Dark Link 21:52, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
  2. There's not much to not like about Tetra. Green Rupee 02:10, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Tetra wins for me for 3 reasons. 1.) She is a pirate and they rock. 2.) She doesn't inhabit a game where everything is orange or brown. 3.) She turns into Princess Zelda, not some giant creepy spider thing. TimboJimbo 16:31, September 10, 2012 (GMT)
  4. Tetra wins because she's the daughter of the King of Red Lions, one of the coolest characters in the entire series. Hypertalon

  1. i disliked Midna, she was to bratty.
  2. Well, I like Tetra and all, but I know deep down that it's not so much how much I like Tetra as how much I dislike Midna. And also, pirates rock.
  3. I gotta give this one to Tetra...mainly because she was pirate, princess, archer, explorer and settler. Versatility is key, methinks.
  4. I found her to be pretty useful in Phantom Hourglass.. No, not really, but Midna will win anyway, so, why not?

Credit for almost the entire thing goes to Sir Real. I just had to change the colors a bit. – Jazzi (talk) 21:39, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

Week 170: Chudley vs. Mila

7 < 17
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNN!!! Welcome to the 170th showdown in our very own TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAGE! This week we witness a battle to the death between two who were once the richest people, um, ever.

In the orange corner is a high class, Emporium-running man and a member of the elite residing in Hyrule Castle Town. He disallows anyone with even a speck of dirt on their shoes to enter his shop, and his wares cost so much that our hero can never afford them. Later, however, the Malo Mart bargain chain buys out his store, and retains him as an employee, causing him to go through a miraculous change and become an actual nice person. THIS. IS. CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDLEYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

In the rose corner we have a condescending girl, the young daughter of the once wealthiest an in the entirety of Windfall Island. After being kidnapped by the Helmaroc King and subsequently rescued, she finds that her father has spent every penny in his attempt to rescue her, and has no choice but to give up her lifestyle; she even attempts to steal from a shopkeeper to find money. However, our hero finds her and hears her out, convincing her to work hard for her money. As a reward, she gives him a fine, rare, Empty Bottle. THIS. IS. MIIIIIIIIIIIILAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Votes for Chudley

  1. It's all about Malver. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 15:38, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  2. You will buy it now, if you are smart, at MAAAAA-LOOOO MART! —Ceiling Master 15:48, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  3. Can Mila dance like Malver? No. Green Rupee 17:14, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  4. America loves meen, Hyrule loves Malo Mart. And I love the shop music. DekuSpenstar (talk) 22:01, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
  5. That dance... PeakProvince

  1. The first time I saw Malver dancing to the catchy Malo Mart music, I was laughing hysterically. Sneaking up on Mila was just annoying.
  2. Haven't met either. But I'm actually playing TP.
  3. You have to clean your shoes and....oooo, shiny....
  4. Nice to get half price Blue Potions. And the music in Malo Mart is jst funny.

Votes for Mila

  1. I'm currently playing through TWW and I must say, it's easily one of my favorite Zelda games. I love the storyline and all that jazz. And seeing her go from filthy rich to dirt poor is quite amusing. – Jazzi (talk) 15:34, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Link meowing like a cat. Oni Dark Link 16:08, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  3. I thought that the character change in Mila was better out of the two snobs, especially since her new attitude seemed to come out of her heart, rather than when Chudley turned into Malver because he was bought out. Dragon Emperor Ryuga (talk) 16:32, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  4. I always liked Mila. I always hated Chudley. ~~Sir RealBathing Subrosian.gif
  5. I like Mila's storyline a lot. I think they showed a lot of realism by making her succumb to thievery, rather than, say, making her instantly nice the way they made Maggie and her father became instantly snobby. It's nice to see her become a genuinely good person in the end, though, and I think that's a large part of why I like her. Chudley/Malver I just...didn't...get. Did he have a genuine change of heart that somehow occurred offscreen? Is he such a good actor that he can pretend to be obnoxiously preppy despite his probable feelings of hatred toward Malo Mart? He's a weak character that either experiences very poor character development, or he pretends to experience very poor character development to keep his job. Mila's changes seemed very heartfelt to me. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:24, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  6. Everybody pretty much said everything that has to be. ...Also, she gives you a bottle. ~Minish (talk) 20:58, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  7. Voting for the person less likely to be 4chan scum. --AuronKaizer! 22:33, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  8. Mila has fantastic character development. That is all. Jedimasterlink (talk) 00:06, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
  9. Okay, so she's a bit of a thief, but she IS trying to support herself in times of economic crises. Very good initiative there! --Naxios10 (talk) 04:44, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
  10. She's the only girl that the Helmaroc King captured that looks somewhat like Zelda, unlike Maggie and Arryl which only accounts for minor details.--Kingkillerbee (talk) 05:02, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
  11. Mila's got a nice story as well as giving Link a bottle. And since Mila's actually got a bright heart, she has to win over the man with no soul.-- ghost of________??? (talk) 5:15, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
  12. This is a tough call, considering Mila wasn't anything special and Chudley is a character I'm not too familiar with. Oh well, go for the rags to riches story that anyone in America and yonder can cheer for. Yeahyeah! Kapodaco! (talk) 03:45, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
  13. Mila went through a lot worse and came out the better for it. She got kidnapped by the Helmaroc King, lost her home and wealth, got caught stealing, and still had the heart to give you a bottle. Chudley is just a neat freak who I saw once while playing TP. TimboJimbo
  14. Well, a heartfelt story of a daughter descending into poverty because of her father's attempts to rescue her? That's just awesome. AWWW YEA! (talk)

  1. What can I say? I've always liked chasing poor, defenseless girls through town.
  2. I think she actually looks cute once she's poor. Stalking her through town is fun too, and bottle's are always helpful. Besides, I do not like anything that has even the slightest relation to Malo, so I wouldn't vote for Chudley anyway..
  3. If only for the dress.
  4. Chudley made me get my shoes shined before I could go in the store. I HATE him for this.
  5. MILA BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I love Twilight Princess, but sorry, Mila's gotta win this one...and, I'm just seriously creeped out by anything to do with Malo.

Many thanks to Minish for the intro! =) – Jazzi (talk) 15:34, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Good work all around. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 15:39, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
Had to alter the colors a bit just now, found the orange to be too dark against the orange scarf and while the pink was nice it was a bit dark as well. And hopefully I can smack out some introductions with coming time. Although, I might have to find an Introduction Buddy with school coming up. – Jazzi (talk) 15:40, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Uh...guys? It says, "her father has spent every penny in his attempt to rescue him". So, did Mila's father spend all his money on himself, or are we unsure of Mila's sex? ~~Sir RealStrange Hand (Oracle of Ages).gif

I fixed it. If you see something else like that just edit it. Green Rupee 17:15, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
