Week 119: Byrne vs. General Onox

"'General Onox'"
General Onox

23.5 < 24.5
General Onox
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADIES AND GENTLEMEN! It's time, once again, for another battle in the TEMPLE. OF. COURAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! This week we have two large combatants fond of using their overwhelming strength to throw heavy weapons and reeling them back in so they can pummel our young hero again. Both have been known to assist in kidnapping innocent maidens and both have managed to defeat our young hero on at least one occasion.

In the green corner we have a mysterious person with a magical gauntlet. He lets nothing stand in his way of obtaining ultimate power. THIS. IS. BYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYRNE!!!!!

And in the yellow corner we have the powerful General of Darkness. Wielding a monstrously large Ball and Chain and some powerful magic. THIS. IS. GENERAL OOOOOOOOOONOXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!

Votes for Byrne

  1. The music. Oh the music. I basically fell in love with this music. It was gorgeous. The best song in ST. --Jazzi JäzziJapas Artwork.png 21:42, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Byrne was pretty cool, even if it was in a dreadfully cliched manner. Never really formed much of an opinion on Onox either. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:27, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
  3. He just seems much more......awesome /\/\r.6r33|\| |-|@T (talk) 23:00, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
  4. Byrne for sure, nothing says awesome like a Ninja wielding a Powerglove. -SuperDylan [[1]]
  5. Yes. Just yes. CrazyReDead
  6. Byrne was just EPIC. this guy was awesome and when he took out alfonzo it was one of the coolest moments in the game.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 19:34, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
  7. Byrne was an interesting character, and the boss battle with him was enjoyable. Also, I love his theme. -Triforce of EpicnessMajora's Mask Artwork.png, Tuesday, October 12, 2010. 7:41 PM.
  8. Onox is good, but Byrne is more interesting, a better boss fight, and to put it simply he's just too much of a freaking badass for Onox to be able to compete. Diachronos (talk) 06:05, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
  9. I'm much more familiar with Byrne, than the other guy. Also, Byrne is one of my favorite characters in the series. Black Dragon Laguz 21:56, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
  10. I gotta say Bryne does not look as cool as General Onox, but he is more fun to battle with in my opinion and his theme is great!. BoguGuru-Guru (Oracle of Seasons).gif

  12. Byrne is epic. pink_link
  13. He is essentially a ninja with a robotic arm. Plus his boss fight was more fun than Onox, even though Onox was actually an end-boss. User:HeroofAwesome
  14. I flat out hate Spirit Tracks, but I have to go for Byrne because his character model was not a recycled one from a previous game or atleast as far as I remember, while the Onox' clothes were recycled for Zant.Mido did what?! (talk) 17:21, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
  15. Not hard to beat, ending up good, guy. Sorry, Joe, I gotta do this. AmazingLinkAmazingLink 23:28, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Byrne ftw.
  2. He has purple hair, a freaking epic metal hand and is just awesomtastic. How could he not win?
  3. VOTE FOR BYRNE! He rocks! Well, when he turns good. And who would vote for a weirdo dragon, anyway? Plus, the huge glove thing rocks if it's not used against you. AND, what is nobler than sacrificing yourself to save people. Link never went there (and never will most likely). Go Byrne!!!Go Byrne!!!Go Byrne!!!Go Byrne!!!Go Byrne!!!Go Byrne!!!
  4. He's just plain awesome! LOVE his theme music!
  5. He is an ally, not an enemy, plain and simple.
  6. When I first saw Byrne, I said, " Badass enemy #1!" I was right. But, he also has a cretian aura to him. Some kind of Attraction. He draws many, including me, to him.
  7. The music. The badass claw. Okay, he was sort of a puppet, but so was Onox, and at least Byrne realized and fought back. If Tingle's in Skyward Sword, I'm going to kill someone. Preferably Tingle.
  8. Byrne turns good!! He's cute, too!
  9. Just listen to his soundtrack! Besides, I knew Byrne was epic the moment I saw him..
  10. He's amazing. He rox my sox off.
  11. Well, Byrne has a giant freaking hookshot for an arm and Onox just has a ball and chain. Hookshot>Ball and chain.
  13. Byrne is just better. He has awesome story, music, look, he's just better. And he's just like Vaati in terms of story in the Minish Cap.
  14. Well... Tough choice. Never saw either of them in action, but! 'Onox' sounds similarly to 'Onyx', which was my least favourite Pokemon, so I vote for Byrne. *nod*
  15. Byrne is just way to cool

Too difficult for me... although I like Byrne, I don't want to vote for him just because I haven't played the Oracle series. Portal-Kombat

Watch the battle on YouTube. That's what I did for both of them, since I actually wanted to have a real opinion. Jedimasterlink (talk) 00:21, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hi I'm that dude who likes Arrghus a lot and can't spell to save my life. I've been to lazy to an acount utill now. Now back to the battle, I think I won't vote for ether because I don't like wacth boss vidios unless I've beat the boss or it's it's in a game proboly won't get soon. Sorry I like suprises. Week 118: Barinade vs. Deguchitato

21.5 > 6
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNN! It is now time for your favourite Zelda-related popularity contest, the TEMPLE. OF. COUUUUUUUUUURAGEEEEEEEEEEE!!! For this week, we have rounded up two bosses that utilize offshoots in attacking Link.

In the blue corner is the parasitic anemone that infests Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly. THIS. IS. BAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIINAAAAAAADE!!!!!

In the green corner is the overgrown guardian of the Sea of Trees. THIS. IS. DEGUUUUCHIIIIIIIIITAAAAAAAAATOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Votes for Barinade

  2. I just like Barinade better, but it was a close call for me... ~Jioplip
  3. I don't have any good reason here... except for the fact that I cannot find any way to dispute Barinade's supposed arse-pwning... also, its death sequence freaked my friend out, so... --AuronKaizer! 18:23, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  4. This thing was A BLAST to fight.--Hylianhero777 (talk) 19:24, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  5. It seems like Barinade is a living Gull Bladder. BoguGuru-Guru (Oracle of Seasons).gif
  6. I thought this boss fight was rather good considering it took place in the first three dungeons of OoT, which is what I consider to be one of the most boring sequences in the game. At least it had multiple phases unlike the first two repetitive, way-too-easy-to-kill bosses. I also like its appearance. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:19, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  7. Look at this page. Four Swords, #14... well, I won't vote for anything from it, plus this was the first boss in OoT I could beat on my 1st try... AmazingLinkAmazingLink 21:30, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  8. This was a fairly fun boss, even if I dislike the Boomerang in Ocarina of Time. Just the fact that it could shoot electricity which is very uncommon for enemies in the game was an interesting aspect to it for me. Portal-Kombat

  13. Deguchitato was annoying to kill, and it was cheap, too. Also, OoT is a much better game. And I liked using the Boomerang in Barinade's fight. -Triforce of Epicness

  1. I have now called the first anonymous vote for someone.
  2. I was so mad of getting hit by his electric attacks that I was about to throw the controller to the tv screen, when I suddenly beat him with like half a heart left..
  3. I was really annoyed with the Big Octo, so when I defeated it, I got up and partied. Good old days...
  4. I have to say that this one of the funest boss battles I'v ever battled in and my vote is final!
  5. It's death scene was nasty.
  6. He was alot to handle as kid Link
  7. Well... Splooging this guy is fun, and he's pretty easy. Yep.
  8. Sorry if this sounds weird or something, this is my first time voting. I was going to vote for Degchitato, because I like plant bosses, but then I noticed Berinade is kind of realated to Arrghus. One of my many favrete bosses.
  9. Barinade= favorite kid boss

Votes for Deguchitato

  1. Barinade was my least favorite boss in OoT and it was one of my least favorite in the series. Though I don't know Deguchitato very much, I will give it the benefit of the doubt here. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 16:25, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Unlike most people who vote for they've fought over the one they haven't, I'm going to vote for the one I never fought. Why? I like the picture Oni Dark Link 16:31, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
  3. While both aren't the most powerful bosses, Deguchitato was at least enjoyable. Whether that be from the boss design or the required multi-player aspect I'm not sure but in the end it doesn't even matter. Deguchitato deserves to win this one. (Besides why would somebody want to vote for the least enjoyable OoT boss?)--Birdman5589 (talk) 02:42, October 5, 2010 (UTC)
  4. Boss battles in which one can mindlessly repeat a single action strike me as boring, oddly enough. Yes, I'm looking at you, Barinade. Jedimasterlink (talk) 05:58, October 5, 2010 (UTC)
  5. Giving Deguchitato some Four Swords love. --?????145

I have absolutely no idea who to vote for...--Black Dragon Laguz 13:25, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
I like OoT and I have no idea what the boss who isn't from OoT's game is. Also, Barinade was without a doubt, the WORST boss in OoT.--Black Dragon Laguz 23:22, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
To be perfectly honest, I've never understood this viewpoint... What exactly do people find so horrible about Barinade anyway? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:46, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
The thing is not that hes horrible, its just that hes not all that great as a boss. Personally I don't think I'll vote because neither of them is all that great. Maybe I don't like boss fights. --Hydropanda (talk) 20:04, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
I found it annoying that pretty much all you have to do is repeatedly throw the boomerang to beat Barinade. Barinade does a few different things, but they don't affect the strategy at all. Jedimasterlink (talk) 20:45, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hi I,m the dude who likes Arrghus. Yes I know the spellings wrong.........Sorry. Well there both quite odd but that is not why I am not voting for either of them its because I didn't enjoy fighting them.Telma Time--Telma time (talk) 22:32, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Week 117: Mido vs. Ralph

24 < 31.5
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNN! It is now time for your favourite Zelda-related popularity contest, the TEMPLE. OF. COUUUUUUUUUURAGEEEEEEEEEEE!!! For this week, we have rounded up two characters famous for being rivals of the legendary hero(es). Let's see what has brought them here this day.

In the green corner, is the self-proclaimed "boss" of the Kokiri, who is the hero's rival for the affections of Saria. He does not consider the hero to be one of the Kokiri (ironically, it remained unbeknownst to him how correct he was), and attempts to deter him at any given opportunity. Later, however, he is shown to bear remorse for his actions against the young hero and confesses this to the older hero, whom he does not recognize. At the celebration of Hyrule's restored freedom, he is saddened to find that Saria is unable to attend due to having achieved her destiny. He would later become the inspiration for a town in the second game in the series.THIS. IS. MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDOOOOOO!!!

In the blue corner, we have a childhood friend of Nayru, revealed to be the Oracle of Ages. When Nayru's body is possessed by the evil Sorceress of Shadows, he chases after her through time. He encounters the hero multiple times throughout their separate adventures, and often ends up in situations where he is grossly out of his depth. He is eventually discovered to be the child of the queen of Labrynna. After Link's defeat of Veran at the top of the Black Tower, Ralph continues to remain at Nayru's side, protecting her. THIS. IS. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALPH!!!

And now, having ultimately failed to best their rival, these two are now set to do battle with each other to prove whom is the (second) best! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Votes for Mido

  1. I guess I'll just vote for who I know better, and besides, he's Mido, why not? Onion. ~Jioplip
  2. KOKIRI. ~XionXIV
  3. He's just better known. Emperor Jami 13:40, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
  4. Mido's dialogue to Link when he is an adult is what I consider the most emotional part of OoT. His words really do bring a tear to my eye. Also, he's a kokiri. -Stars talk 21:44, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
  5. What Stars said. The first sentence, in particular. The second is almost true for me. Jedimasterlink (talk) 16:42, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

  1. i hate this guy
  2. I've played Ocarina of Time, but haven't played Oracle of Ages. Mido may be a jerk at the start but after Link defeats the Forest Temple, which saves the Kokiri, even though Mido doesn't recognize him, he apologizes and tells you to say it to Link.
  3. Ralph is a hero wannabe. Mido is an annoying guy who is a real rival to Link.
  4. Pity vote
  5. Mido's retarded and i feel sorry for him.
  6. Gage didn't win, so I'm mad. Grrrrrrrrrr. Anyway this guy is just a Kokiri, who eventually evolve into leaf things who can't play the violin right. WIN

Votes for Ralph

  1. This is one of the few times in recent memory that I can recall having to dedicate some real thought as to whom to vote for. I like Mido, and his relationship and attitude towards Link is a strange one, full of contradictions as it might be. Ralph is a bumbling dude what ain't got much of a chance against any manner of evil forces, but he has courage and a never-say-die attitude that's awesome and which I like. He was a refreshing original character, and remains a large part of the reason why I prefer Ages over Seasons. Mido is cool, but Ralph is, well, cooler. Dass the truth. --AuronKaizer! 20:02, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

  7. Ralph is mad cool, and even though ocarina of time is my favorite game, mido is just a jerk who doesn't have a life and is just jealous of link
  8. I feel a little lukewarm to Mido, but he acts like a jerk and so I'm voting for Ralph.
  9. This dude gets trained by Link for goodness sake theres no beating that
  10. He helped thats all there is to it twlilght waker
  11. . Ralph is wayyyy more skilled than MIDO
  12. Ralph is better than Mido because even though he was a snob, he was willing to kill his ancestor(thereby killing himslef, although unknowingly) just to save Nayru.
  13. Hmmmmm...A bed-wetting kokiri that tries (and fails) to be boss or the descendant of a Labrynnain Queen? Hmmmmmm...
  14. I hate you, Mido. Never self-denoting or modest.
  15. Mido sucks. Admit it and go on with your life. ( Now there, little bobby. Mido was a total jerk and hindered more than he helped. At least Ralph has a sommewhat cool cape-thing.)

Week 116: Gage vs. Makar

14 < 32
LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNN! For mysterious and unexplainable reasons, the TEMPLE. OF. COURAGE!!! is a bit delayed this week. A moment of silence for all those who died while waiting in line outside the arena, for they are the greatest heroes of them all. ...Okay, so let's bring on the battle! This week, we have a battle between two legendary sages/musicians who aid the hero in their respective quests. Let's meet our guys here.

In the light green corner is the Lokomo Sage of the Forest Realm, who plays a cello. The hero plays a special song together with him, restoring some of the Spirit Tracks of the Forest Realm. Later, he aids Link in his final battle against the evil Demon King. THIS. IS. GAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!

In the light brown corner is a Korok who plays a violin that is much too big for him. First, he is rescued from the Forbidden Woods by the hero, allowing him to play the violin to fulfill the Korok Ceremony and ensure a fruitful harvest. Later, he is discovered to be the Sage of Wind, and together with the hero, he braves the Wind Temple, and helps restore power to the Master Sword. THIS. IS. MAAAAAAAAAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!

Votes for Gage

  1. At least he wasn't an annoying, facepalm-inducing waste of time and energy like Makar. He's still as bland as a McDonald's coffee, though. --AuronKaizer! 04:07, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Yay, I was hoping for this fight! I like Lokomo songs and I haven't met Makar in The Wind Waker. Plus, I know that this guy plays an important role.--Black Dragon Laguz 11:49, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
  3. i like gages fro more then makars leaf --Digdogger (talk) 18:22, September 14, 2010 (UTC)\

  5. Even though I hated playing the songs, I thought once I got the songs to play they were kinda cool. Wait...I should've voted for WW celtic tunes!!! Oh well...--ComeBackKing (talk) 23:30, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

  1. his music is awesome along with the other songs with the lokomos ( once you manage to play them anyways)

Votes for Makar

  1. Makar wins with his awesome prayer music, besides, the little guy's like a cute onion. ~Jioplip

  9. i loved how he sat on the King of Red Lions head. Perpetualtwilight (talk) 19:02, September 14, 2010(UTC)

  13. I don't give a whit for Makar, but I really like his violin music. The Wind God's Aria is just so...catchy. Jedimasterlink (talk) 22:20, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
  14. When it comes to a musical-ness-related fight, I only vote for the contestant that is a) more epical. Duh. And b) having a cool theme song. Gage's prayer was eh, but the Wind God's Aria is pretty epical. Dawn Of A New Day Dawn Of A New Day
  15. He's the wind sage. Emperor Jami 16:41, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
  16. Well, I haven't played WW, but WW PWNS and the little dude is just TOO CUTE! ~A Fellow Violinist -- #1 in the Class!
  17. Gage wasn't a particularly memorable character. A bit of a rehash of what we have seen before. Also, Gage appears to be based off of Makar, so most of the coolness with Gage probably comes with that. NO CONTEST!!!-- C2 / CC 03:26, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
  18. The Lokomo songs may quite possibly be my least favorite things in the entire Zelda series. It took me at least half an hour to do the stupid Desert Realm song. If I get stuck in a LoZ game, it should be on a boss or a cool puzzle, not on a stupid instrument. Besides, I got to control Makar, which is always cool. User:Collinsj 17:54, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
  19. Makar wins, all day long. User:lnemf 18:24, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
  20. I love his music and I play the violin! User:Dark Sheik 7:40 September 17, 2010

  1. I used to think he was an onion and not a tree.
  2. WW rules!
  3. I like him because he has a funny looking face.
  4. Makar is amazing, the Koroks and Kokiri are amazing!
  5. Makar is awesome, and I enjoy his tunes
  6. Half the times I whistle a song, it's Wind God's Aria (Makar's Song). Makar didn't know he had power, so he couldn't help Link for most of the game. As for Gage, he's a Sage with supposedly amazing powers, but all he does is teach Link a song that you use once in the whole game.
  7. Go tree people!
  8. Makar is cooll!
  9. Where should I start? Makar is cute and tiny, I absolutely LOVE his prayer melody and look at those cherries on his bow! Makar is simply bound to win this fight.
  10. Gage is weird. Besides, Makar is a walking talking leaf! It's a magical, awesome, walking talking leaf! Gage is just a guy named after a gauge. They can't even spell 'Gauge' right.
  11. I so agree with 1 makar is llike a super adorable onion!!
  12. Hmmm...Wind God's Aria is EPIC, he rides on the King of Red Lions's head, you can play as him, his instrument is awesomer, and yes...the onion thing.
  13. You can fly with makar.
  14. so cute!
  16. Duh, Makar has a leave for a face! Besides, I didn't like the spirit tracks tunes you had to repeat, I always blew them.. literally..

Week 115: Orca vs. Swordsman

34 > 12
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMENNNNNNNNNNNN! Brought to you in part by Magic Voodoo Chicken, Inc., it's the TEMPLE. OF. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!! And this week, we have a battle against two legendary fencers of Zelda mythos! It'll be the swordfight of the ages, broadcasted in Age Dee to maximize the viewing experience! The credentials of these two master instructors of the blade will be announced in the ring! Let us go there, now-like!

In the purple corner is the greatest teacher of the art of the sword on the Great Sea, despite wielding a lance-like implement rather than a sword. A wizened old master, and one of the few still versed in warfare in a time of peace, he instructed the descendant of the legendary Hero of Time in the art of swordplay. Before embarking on the quest that would ultimately result in the defeat of Ganondorf, he gave the hero his first sword. He would also teach the hero the intricacies of the more complex techniques, even teaching him the seldom mastered Hurricane Spin Attack. THIS. IS. OOOOOOOOOORRRRRRCAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

In the brown corner is another revered master of the sword (whose real name is known only to those who have met their end in battle against him), who teaches those worthy (or in the possession of money) in his dojo in Clock Town. For completing his more advanced stages of training, he presents the hero with an item to boost his endurance. Despite being lauded as a man of courage, he (understandably) loses his reserve in the face of the impending destruction of the land of Termina. THIS. IS. THE SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORDSMAN!!!

If your mind isn't blown already, trust me when I say it will be once the fight gets underway. If any rapiers should escape the grip of their masters and begin to freely fly around the arena, do not be alarmed, because great insurance payments are given to those who die. Now that we're all fine with that... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE!!!

Votes for Orca

  1. Allow me to clarify some of this for you: Orca is the Chuck Norris of Zelda. Put anything in front of him and he will kick its butt fifty ways 'till Sunday. His soul-gazing stare alone is an ender of conflicts, if used properly. And look at him in his artistic depiction over there. He's got bloodlust in his eyes, a smug smirk on his face, and is already either praying that you do not continue past your limitations (in which case, you just plain die), or focusing all of his power into his hand to execute the Karate Chop Of World's End. Swordsman is pretty cool and all, especially his Squadalah technique is nothing to scoff at, but he wouldn't last half a second against Orca's Kamehameha Wave. He's nothing but a badarse, and probably has a confident Scotsman's accent to boot. All I can say is... good luck, Swordsman. Because you will need it to beat OOOOOOOOOOOOORCAAAAAAAAAAA! --AuronKaizer! 23:13, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

  8. I bet this guy could fight link forever if he had to! ~User:Majoraswrath1999

  10. I don't know how to/If i'm allowed to fix the numbering, so i'm not going to. But we better fix it quick because if orca sees that the numbering in his fight is mixed up he will use the KARATE CHOP OF WORLD'S END ON US. --Hylianhero777 (talk) 13:47, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

  5. vote for Orca 8D
  6. Orca's cool. And Majora's mask suck
  7. Orca actually teaches you something
  8. If you've ever found the swordsman on the final day of MM, well, the answer is pretty obvious...
  9. I didn't find the Majora Swordsman training very usefull, since I hardly used any of the techniques later on in the game.. Besides, Orca is old, but still strong and agile, why would he lose?
  10. Orca gives you a sword, practice, and the Hurricane Spin, which I like very much. The Swordsman rips you off in OoT, and he hides in his little house thingy. He could've at least been smart and hid in the Oceanside Spider House like the one guy that gives you the Giant's Wallet.
  11. I agree with the voter directly above me. Also, I like Wind Waker.
  12. Orca is better. end of story.
