Week 40: Link the Pig vs. Lord Bullbo
LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! After a week of absense due to popped blood vessels, we here at Zeldapedia now proudly present the 40th WEEK IN THE TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! Before we begin, all you bacon lovers out there must evacuate immediatly.
In the pink corrner, we have a baby black pig, still with his litter. Born on Outset Island, a feaster of his own kind, and even larger than the human Heavyweight Champion of the World, we have LINK THE PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!
And in the green corner, having shed his master for one week, stands a colosal green boar. Born in parts unknown, carrier of Lord Bulblin, and better armored than Fort Knox, it's LORD BULLBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Two massive pigs shall now duke it out for the Pig Heavyweight Championship. As our contestants get ready to charge, I ask you this question: Who will win? We shall leave that up to you, dear voters. I don't wanna get gored, and hate all this waiting, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!
Votes for Link the Pig
Votes for Lord Bullbo
Huh....interesting how everybody predicted that this would end up being a Wind Waker vs. Twilight Princess fight, yet nobody has made any comments about the games they're from yet. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Why are both vote collumns white and the penut gallery on top? Metroidhunter32 14:56, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
All fixed...The color problem was caused by an unneeded quotation mark after the color name, and the Peanut Gallery problem was caused by some missing code. --Moblin Slayer(Working on it...) 20:37, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Um, Mrs.MikauShadLink, I think the one that you skewer and get a Piece of Heart from is just a regular Bullbo. Although that does raise the question of what happened to Lord Bullbo after the second King Bulblin fight.... Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:31, 23 March 2009 (UTC) Mmmmmmmmm, Lord Bullbo. (From, Midna Rocks)
Thats why I thought it was him, because the 3rd time you fight King Bulblin, he doesn't ride his piggy. Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:00, March 23, 2009
I would laugh so hard if this ended up being the most even fight. I predict that Lord Bullbo will eventually pull ahead, though. I'm not saying that this will always happen, but this seems to be the pattern when we do Wind Waker characters vs. Twilight Princess characters: First, the Wind Waker character wins by a landslide because many of the established users (and thus the ones that generally vote before other people) like Wind Waker and its characters. Then, the middle class (the people that are recognized, but not quite to that extent) votes and evens it out until it's tied or near tied. Finally, the anonymous and newer users vote for the Twilight Princess character, which wins by about 4-7 votes. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:00, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
I finally figured out a fight with a wizzrobe. It took me forever to think of, so I went a bit out of the box to figure it out. When the next fight is put up, then I will put it on the suggestions page, until then it is a secret. Dialask77 Ice Wizard 12:58, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
To those who thought Lord Bulbo released a piece of Heart at the bulbin camp: That was not Lord Bulbo that you hack open, it is just a random bulbo. the facts are that Lord Bulbo is MUCH bigger than the roasted one, Lord Bulbo is gray haired, while the cooked one is brown haired. Also, Lord Bulbo is seen at the final fight with King Bulbin, as well as being shown in the end credits being rode by King Bulbin. User:Shade Link
Does it really matter? Wait, I take that back, because then there would be a MAJOR arguement if it actually mattered. Anyways, I'm too lazy to edit my vote. Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:12, 25 March, 2009
Just for the record shade link im pretty sure that bullbos don't have hair and the skewered bullbo is a diffrent brown than the standard bullbo (probably because it's cooked.) From, Midna Rocks
Well, Midna Rocks, Bulbos DO have hair, just to let you know. it IS a standard bulbo. well, i have nothing else to say, case closed, because i don't want an argument, and i HATE arguments, because i have been in a lot of them on youtube(the ppl i am arguing with usually just freak out for no reason, not saying you do) User:Shade Link
Way close fight but at this point I think the hairy guy with the horns is gonna win. Metroidhunter32 22:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
I know what you mean, Shade Link. YouTubers are crazy. This one person kept saying I couldn't get a boyfriend because I like fictional characters, then he starts swearing at me after I made a witty comeback. It was quite funny, actually... Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:13, 26 March, 2009
Personally, I think it's strange that a big, fat pig is almost even with a gigantic, lean, blue war hog of destruction. sincerely, DekutullaZM
I think one of the best parts of Twilight Princess (along with a very promising first dungeon) was the first "Battle on the Bridge" and I think that they could've done even more with horse battle segments. They were so much fun... sometimes I wish the twilight portals didn't exist so that you had a reason to ride the horse. Portal-Kombat
Im glad they put them there, even though I almost never use them. I use the horse more often, but still theres people who hate riding the horse so they can just use the portals, its Nintendos way of saying "Sorry we bored you to tears with sailing"Darkest-Link123 23:48, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey guys, I need help. For some reason the site won't let me create an account at the time. What should I do?????????? Mr.Fairy
mr fairy, just find a way such as age? maybe if you say you are born like me, 1991, try that, then you might get in--Shade Link 13:14, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
While agree that (although I forgot)(Yeah right) link the pig can kill you very quikly, I just want to say that there is one more place you can survive from. If you attack him from the pen, stand on the fence and you will not be harmed. However, if you do it at night, if will look extremely freaky. DekutullaZM
Ugh, it's so annoying when people are like "I can't believe people are voting for the idiotic cartoon pig over there". I mean, Link the Pig is obviously popular....why do people have to insult the people that like him? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 18:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean Shadelink?Mr.Fairy
Hey XYZ, You are correct because people shouldn't insult other people on a public website.Mr.Fairy
Mr. Fairy, based on your vote, you seem to be voting for King Bulblin....but we're talking about Lord Bullbo, his mount. It just so happens that Lord Bullbo is never seen without King Bulblin, so we there are no images of Lord Bullbo without King Bulblin and as such the image can be somewhat misleading. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 09:20, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Mr. Fairy, what i am saying is, how old are you? maybe that is why, i see ppl that are not old enough, so just say you are as old as me, which just say 2001--Shade Link 13:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
oops i said 2001, i meant 1991. i really get confused with dates--Shade Link 19:23, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I apologize if my statements rubbed some of you *coughXYZcough* the wrong way. It just seemed so strange. By the way, why is everyone under the false impression that Link the Pig ate his fellow porkers? It was the pigs owner! At least that's how it looks... DekutullaZM
Back when I played through Wind Waker the first time my friends and I thought that the biggest pig had eaten the other two. It wasn't until I talked to some of the villagers before I got the third pearl that I found out that Abe's family ate the pigs. The worst part is that the mother says something like "The monsters got the pigs" or something like that 0_0 Portal-Kombat
Shouldn't this fight be over? A week's gone by...DekutullaZM
Week 39: Big Octo vs. Gyorg Pair
LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We here at Zeldapedia are now proud to present to you the 39th Week in the Temple of Courage! All right! For this weeks bout, you may notice our arena has been filled with water. Why, you ask? You're about to find out!
In the light blue corner, we have an enourmous, multi-eyed monstrousity! Hailing from the Great Sea, this titan enjoys seagulls and randomly attacking ships that venture into his whirlpool, and hates bombs and boomerangs; Ladies and gentlemen: BIG OCTOOOOOOOOOO!
And in the dark blue corner, you will see not only one, but two giant manta ray things who have tonight blessed us with their presence! Coming all the way from the lofty heights of the Palace of Winds, this deadly duo enjoy each other and their energy blasts, and despise Link and his sword, it's the GYORG PAAAAAAAAAAAAIR!
So, we have two (three, whatever, leave me alone!) giant, multi-eyed fish creatures who are out for blood. And you can bet that our special pool will be filled with that by fights end! Whose blood will it be? It's up to you, the voters! I'm about to pop some of my veins, so LLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!
Votes for Big Octo
Votes for Gyorg Pair
To the second anonymous voter for Big Octo, the Bigoctos from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are completely different creatures and as such are not considered the same thing. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
The easiest way to take down Big Octos is using the Boomerang. In fact, pretty much everything in Wind Waker will die easily if you hit it with the Boomerang before attacking with your sword. Portal-Kombat
I guess no one else like gyorg pair... can people please say affirmative for carock vs aghanim, I really need to get my (sort of) wizzrobe fight out of my system. Hey people should vote gyorg cause I put up the box in the first place!!...just kidding, vote what you think is best Dialask77 Ice Wizard 02:18, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
same here although id be the first to admit that my user page is rubish although i have recently started making a sub user page featuring my evaluation of the zelda series which should be quite interesting when finished. Oni Dark Link 12:39, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
as far as i know in wind waker (i presume its wind waker due to the seagull comment) the restircted sailing until you complete forest haven quest stops you from entering any squares with a big octo so im a bit confused shade link as to how you can fight one with out a boom a rang Oni Dark Link 21:39, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
I just realized something: while your path is still restricted and you have to pass from Dragon Roost Island to Forest Haven, the first island you pass by is Fire Mountain! There's actually a Big Octo on that square 0_0 what could possibly happen if it ate you, maybe it would spit you out in one of the beta test rooms (that'd be my wish, anyway!) Portal-Kombat
I have been swallowed and spit out many a time by that octo at Fire Mountain without any projectiles. It just blocks you from any islands you haven't passed by. Windfall to Dragon Roost to Forest Haven are all fine because you've been through those islands before. After Forest Haven temple, you can go wherever. Mrs.MikauShadLink 21:40, 17 March, 2009
The easiest way to kill a big octo is to use bombs or light arrows, bombs because it takes 1 or 2 hits to destroy an eye, and light arrow because it takes one hit to destroy an eye, plus, light arrow pierces through stuff it hits, so if there is an eye on the other side, it will destroy that eye.Shade Link
Actually, bombs are much harder to use, since they're very hard to aim properly. Light Arrows are effective, but they take up a lot of magic power and you don't get them until late in the game when you've probably already defeated most or all of the Big Octos. They're also somewhat hard to aim. So I personally think that the boomerang is the easiest way to kill a Big Octo, since it's very easy to aim, despite not being as powerful as bombs or arrows. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Geting eaten by the fire mountain octo on your way to the forest haven doesnt do anything that doesnt usualy hapen (You lose 1/4 energy and get spit to a random area near the mountain.)
I find the regular arrows easiest because you can lock onto the eye, shoot twice fast, then move on to the next eye. Mrs.MikauShadLink 15:56, 18 March, 2009
well yeah maybe the boomerang will work. but I am a great archer and I have a lot of magic, elixer soup, a lot of bombs, and a lot of arrows, so the light arrows work for me. Last time I killed a Big Octo, I only used Light arrows. Shade Link
That is, last time I killed one when I had Light Arrows (on second quest, but I am not gonna complete it just yet, but maybe recomplete the other second quest files I have) Shade Link
Even though every thing so far is a good way to beat the Big Octo, the Boomerang is the most efficent way to kill one. After all, it's easy to aim, it can hit up to 5 eyes at once, and can take less time then just trying to aim at an eye with a bomb or arrow. Forget power; it's all about efficiency, baby. Sincerely, Watcher
That all depends on how much of an item you have and how good you are with it, I constantly have soup and blue potions, a double magic bar, and 99 arrows so I can just fire aim lessly and kill an 8-eyed octo in about 25 seconds, the boomerang takes longer because you must wait for your ship to circle aroud to present more targets. From Midna Rocks. (Thanks for the idea Watcher, I've been coming here for a while and I think it's time I give myself SOME identification. My parents won't let me make an account either.)
You're welcome. It's nice to know that I've been able to help another faceless user get along in this community. Sincerely, Watcher
You can kill a big octo with less than 30 arrows, it doesn't matter about aiming, you can lock on to the eyes. MikauShadLink 22:37, 19 March, 2009
I am pretty suprised about the results of this fight so far. I was expecting Big octo to lose because gyorg pair flies, and there are two of them in one fight. Dialask77 Ice Wizard 19:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Don'know. Guess it would appear to make them awesome... Oh well, NEXT FIGHT! Sincerely, Watcher. P.S.: I forgot to log on just now, but this is me. Don't say otherwise.
Week 38: Dead Hand vs. ReDead (Twilight Princess)
IT'S TIME! Yessir, LLLLAAAAAAAAAAAADIIIIIIIIIESSSSSSSSSSS (hopefully, you do exist) AND GENTLEMEN, Zeldapedia is proud to bring you, for the 38th time, the Temple of Courage! And boy, this week will be one fiercely (un)deadly fight!
In the one corner...we have an undead abomination whose appearance may or may not have been inspired by Michael Jackson...the bringer of nightmares of the braindead computer game addict generation...DEAD HAND!
And in the other...a mysterious undead swordsman that freezes the hearts of men (and Hylians, obviously) with its piercing scream...wreathed in the crimson red color of blood...REDEAD!
It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that this week's fight will be a good one! So...in the name of world peace, in the name of world profits...LET'S GET READY TO GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE!

Does anybody find the opening statement for the two battles a little offensive? I'm sort of on the fence. Girls do play video games, but there is a tendancy for more men to play than women. Mrs.MikauShadLink 20:16, 8 March, 2009
I don't particularly see the problem. All it's saying is that there aren't that many female video game players (which, unfortunately, is true), and that hopefully there are some reading the message. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:14, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Some girls are definitely reading it! (And have been playing video games since age five!) I dunno, the whole stereotype of girls not playing video games may have been true, say, five years ago (where the whole, "You play VIDEO GAMES?" line of questioning was just plain exasperating), but it's not so true these days. --Ryttu3k 08:55, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
I think that nintendo games probally have a bunch of girl gamers but mainstream gaming has to many scantaly clad women for them to want to play those. I personaly see nothing wrong with girl gamers. Metroidhunter32 14:17, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
is there no pictures of dead hands with out a picture of link? Oni Dark Link
One week. One week without someone blowing one little comment out of proportion is all I ask for! My kingdom for a week! Sincerely, Watcher.
I didn't mean anything like that Watcher! I'm sorry! I was born in a small town where most of the girls were hard-core gamers, but now most of the girls are the "OMG do my extensions match my nails?!" kind. I didn't know what to think, so I asked other peoples' opinions. I'm sorry! Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:27, 9 March, 2009
I get so depressed, as well. It makes me sad to think that women have sunk so low as to ask one another "where they got their boobs done". (a random girl came up to me and asked, then ran away in tears when I slapped her. Go the natural way!) Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:50, 9 March, 2009
Well, the "Ice Wizard" part is a bit hard to read on this gray background, and the white background around the picture kind of conflicts....I mean, I really like it, but it kind of conflicts with the gray background of the comment section. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 17:14, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
My deities! Have we finally found a fight were Twilight Princess is not the designated winner?Dark Ridley 17:36, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
i hope achemen vrs vire wins too. i want to see a zelda ii fighter in the temple of courage ive also decided that i am now looking for people who played and enjoyed zelda ii because im the only one i know of Oni Dark Link
I have Zelda II on the Collector's Editon Gamecube game, and it's my least favorite Zelda game, although the first Four Swords could be worse, I don't know (I've only played Four Swords Adventures, and I got to the Tower of Winds.) Portal-Kombat
Well the ice wizard stays silver because I think it looks cool (and is appropriate), but I don't know how to make the background based on the current background.... Dialask77 Ice Wizard 20:56, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

LLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES! Zeldapedia proudly brings to you the thirty-seventh week of gruesome, gory action...THIS IS THE TEMPLE OF COURAGE! BOOYA! And this week good sirs and madams, 'tis a fight between two gladiators; these two masters of swordplay will slice and dice until nothing is left. So...who will it be?
First, we have an elderly gentleman and once a proud warrior on the Great Sea...despite his age, he can still enter the fray and exit as the victor whenever the situation presents itself...a true swordsman...ORCAAAAAAAAAAA!
And his opponent, the (other) yellow-haired protector of Ordon Village...he was among the greatest fencers in Hyrule in the era he lived in...and now, he has returned to this no-man's-land between past and present to do battle...this...is...RUSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
Need I say more, people? Those who are about to die are sponsored by Snacky S'mores! LET's FIGHT!

What do you mean by "coward that doesn't do anything useful"? LapisScarab 00:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Interesting Fire Emblem analogy, Moblin slayer. Of course, the lance also loses if it's an axereaver, unless the lance is an axereaver and the sword is a lancereaver. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:38, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Rusl's Golden Cucco was more heroic and useful than Rusl himself. On a related subject, who else here has hit Orca 1000 times before he hits you three times? That was so tedious, but worth it because he breaks the fourth wall :) Portal-Kombat
Originally, I was gonna put that even if Rusl had a lance reaver Orca might win against it if he had an Axe reaver, but then that would lead to a long chain of how one could beat the other...--Moblin Slayer 19:12, 2 March 2009 (UTC) Moblin Slayer, It is possible in fire emblem to have a lance and beat an axe weilder. That is because if you have a steel sword against an iron axe, what has a slight more power?
Of course, following the recent influx of logical thinking around here, Rusl's strength stat could easily be way beyond Orca's anyway, had the game had RPG stats. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 01:12, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Interesting how we're trying to relate the Legend of Zelda series and the Fire Emblem series when the only significant similarity is that they're both medieval. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:16, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Ok ok, enough of the relating zelda to Fire Emblem. I mean sheesh. The only relation is that Lyon is Vaati's gret great grandfather and that they are both medieval! Dialask77 02:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
i think i clicked the wrong link. isnt this zeldapedia? o wait its zeldaemblenpedia. next temple of courage fight link v marth Oni Dark Link
I'm cheering for marth personally. Dialask77 15:28, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
would be a fun thing to do. not on zeldapedia of course maybe a poll on the smas wiki. id have to vote link though Oni Dark Link
Can't say I'm a fan of Marth either; he's really the generic "honorable prince" character. Nothing interesting about him at all. He's not that impressive in the Super Smash Bros. games, either. Also, I don't feel that Fire Emblem or Mother are obscure at all. Not nearly as popular as the Mario or Zelda series, but really popular in their own rights. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:08, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
To be fair, Fire Emblem and MOTHER aren't nearly as obscure as... whatever AK said. They just tend to be the series' whose characters are usually rediscovered through Smash Bros. I learned about Ness and Lucas through Melee. And on the topic of the fight, I have to say this is pretty balanced so far. However, Rusl is going to win and prove once again that people have some strange urge to vote for characters from Twilight Princess. Portal-Kombat
That could have been a bit smaller AK, but I didn't realize that rusl was from tp...If I had I would have voted for him almost... automatically... *makes beeping robot sounds* Dialask77 02:30, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Uh... I didn't say that there was anything WRONG with being an instant Twilight Princess voter. Some people vote for a certain character because they like the game that person was in better. I nearly always vote Wind Waker, it's my favorite game. Portal-Kombat
anonymous voter for orca, it's spelled pwns, not pones. (I spend way too much time on the internet) Solar flute
Um, how is it narrow-minded at all? All Portal-Kombat is saying is that most people vote for Twilight Princess things for some strange reason. That's a straight fact. He's not necessarily saying anybody's saying that people vote for them because they're from Twilight Princess, just that people tend to vote for thing that happen to be from Twilight Princess. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I will admit that I am a little bit partial to TP. But I always vote for who's better no matter what game they are from. Also I think the reason that everyone votes for TP characters is that having never played a zelda game before they played TP then came here for one reason or another and are the zelda versions of Halo fanboys who won't listen to a word against them. Trust me I see a lot of fanboys who fit that description. Metroidhunter32 14:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, so what you're trying to say is that TP has a definite fanbase advantage in battles? That, agree with. I wish people could base their votes on the character itself rather than the game it appears in though. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 15:31, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry AK but you know what they say about wishing in one hand and doing something else in the other do see which one fills up faster. I agree that they should vote for the better character, but I find it unlikely that they will. but it was close for a while and orca was winning at first so it wasn't a bad fight. Dialask77 14:20, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
TP only wins a lot because everything (well mostly) is better, honestly I am shocked Orca did this well, he wasnt much of a character and TWW is the most bashed Zelda out thereDarkest-Link123 00:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh man, I just knew a Twilight Princess fanboy would get involved in this conversation at some point. Look, please just take your insulting comments elsewhere. Nobody wants to hear you insult a perfectly good game. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:05, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Dont make an argument out of things, I didnt insult any Zelda game, the closest I got to insulting it was saying that WW is the most bashed 3D game, and it is, I didnt say I hate it, but saying WW isnt the most bashed game is like saying nobody found Navi annoying.Darkest-Link123 03:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Thing is, it's common knowledge that people don't like Navi. On the other hand, Wind Waker being the "most bashed game" is your own personal opinion that is not shared by a significant amount of people. And in actuality, both statements are insults; Navi fans just tend to let it roll off of them since Navi haters are so common, so you don't see many people saying that they're insults, while in actuality they are. And I'm not making an argument out of things; I'm just asking you to please not insult Wind Waker, or any other game for that matter. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 04:08, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Seriously? Ok looking at the sales 20-50% of the Zelda fans didnt play it JUST because of the cell shading, then we can go into the game and hear the sailing rants. I see more WW hate than Navi hate to be honestDarkest-Link123 04:21, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Im afraid you have to learn that sales are facts, theres no opinion in it.Darkest-Link123 06:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Try looking at the real world and seeing what people actually think of the game instead of checking the statistics and making close-minded assumptions. I think you'll find that a lot of people that have actually tried this game like it (well, actually, no you won't; I doubt you'd be open-minded enough to actually realize that some people have different opinions). People automatically look at the game's cartoony graphics and say "Oh, that game must have been made for 7-year-olds" and boycott it without even trying it. So no, in this case, sales are not facts, as they have no significance to the subject at hand; sales do not necessarily mean anything in terms of the quality of the game. Also, regardless of whether Wind Waker is considered bad or not, that is a bit of an aside. The point is that you shouldn't insult games that certain people like, whether or not you or anybody else thinks they're bad. It's fine to exert your own opinion (for example, you can say that you found the game annoying, boring, frustrating, etc.), but simply saying that the game is bad (or "bashed", in your words) is generally not excepted. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 07:44, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
i personly like navi and think wind waker is a fantastic game and (in my opnion) is better then twilight princess and can even rival ocerina of time. Oni Dark Link
XZ and Darkest-Link, let's not go too far with all this now. I think, reading what you guys have already written, that this has been blown way out of proportion. Darkest-Link, you stated the fact that Twilight Princess had greater sales records than The Wind Waker, and that The Wind Waker is one of the most criticized of all the Zelda games due to its cel-shading, which are both true. And XZ, you are making the point that just because one game has lower sales than the other does not negate the quality of the game itself in the eyes of those who have actually played it, which is also very true. Look guys, both of you are making valid arguments here, but I think it's just gotten blown way out of proportion. XZ, I don't think Darkest-Link is necessarily criticizing The Wind Waker, merely just stating what we all already know, that the art style didn't go over as well with the public as that of Twilight Princess, hence why not as many people were willing to take it seriously at first. However it grew on people enough that it became one of Nintendo's best-sellers on its Gamecube list, they even made a new box for it giving it that title years ago. I personally love The Wind Waker, and after playing it through once or twice, the cel-shading does indeed grow on you. However, Twilight Princess did indeed blow me away as far as graphics go. Now in terms of story and game quality, I'd say the two are evenly matched, but the sales records may not show that due to the general public being more skeptical of The Wind Waker due to its look. I liked The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both equally to be honest, both had a compelling story and had good graphics when you looked at them in an objective way. But my true love has always been and will always be Ocarina of Time. No game will ever completely top it. They may match it, but never top it.
And for the record, while I did find Navi a bit annoying at times, I still liked her as a character regardless. Hero of Time 87 15:28, 7 March 2009 (UTC) Im not saying thats bad either, people have different opinions. True the people who played it liked it for the most part, just like any other Zelda game, I myself liked it. But sales kinda are statistics for it, if about half of the LoZ fans boycotted it do you think WW is going to have a lot of love going on for it? No, its not fair and I'm not saying its a good thing but just because the basher didnt even buy the game doesnt mean he wont bash it anymore.Darkest-Link123 15:39, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Oh whoops I edited at the wrong time, well Hero of Times right, lets stop thisDarkest-Link123 15:41, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
