Lord Bullbo

LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! After a week of absense due to popped blood vessels, we here at Zeldapedia now proudly present the 40th WEEK IN THE TEMPLE OF COURAGE! All right! Before we begin, all you bacon lovers out there must evacuate immediatly.

In the pink corrner, we have a baby black pig, still with his litter. Born on Outset Island, a feaster of his own kind, and even larger than the human Heavyweight Champion of the World, we have LINK THE PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!

And in the green corner, having shed his master for one week, stands a colosal green boar. Born in parts unknown, carrier of Lord Bulblin, and better armored than Fort Knox, it's LORD BULLBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Two massive pigs shall now duke it out for the Pig Heavyweight Championship. As our contestants get ready to charge, I ask you this question: Who will win? We shall leave that up to you, dear voters. I don't wanna get gored, and hate all this waiting, so LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Link the Pig

  1. I grew connected to Link the Pig throughout the game, I don't know why. Maybe it's because he's named after Link, maybe it's because he's such an unusual color, and maybe it's because he fiercely attacks you whenever you attack him. Whatever the reason, I definitely prefer him over Lord Bullbo. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:55, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  2. This actually took some thinking for me, but Link the Pig won in the end. Why? Maybe it had something to do with how the kids told you what happened to the other pigs... Besides, I was extremely excited when I could finally lift him up. User:Daydreamer3173
  3. This Fierce Pork Trooper gave me more trouble than Lord Bulbo. Who knew that a bloated sack of pork chops like this pig could instill a sense of fear and panic in you more than most REAL enemies in the Zelda series? It's probably also important to note that in it's rampage it will kill enemies simply by brushing against them. Beat that. Portal-Kombat
  4. I guess I pick Link the Pig 'cause I love pigs. They're so cute. And it can give you a piece of heart. User:Dragonmaster kayla
  5. Tough, but I have to go with Link the Pig. I got bored once and attacked him until he went berserk...and lost over half of my full health before I got away. Lord Bulbo by himself just isn't as impressive.LapisScarab 04:45, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  6. Dude, no contest. This thing hits harder than Ganondorf! --Ryttu3k 03:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  7. to be perectly honest i didn't know who to vote for so i just flipped a coin--Twilitlink 06:58, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  8. User:Miss-Magius - Let's be logical here, because the pigs are invinsible.
  9. Well, lets look at the reasons. One, he is invincible. Two, he drains more life than Ganondorf. Three, he can dig into rock, unlike bulbo, who can only smash into enemies and carry a fat orc. Four, he is the only pig to not be digested by a happy family of villagers. Five, if Lord Bulbo attacks Link the Pig, or wins this, Link the pig will get darker than he normally is, his eyes will turn red, and he will knock the lights out of Lord Bulbo until that large truck of lard falls off a cliff. Also, that homicidal pig that hates getting attacked will just sit there and when Lord Bulbo attempts to ram him, he will just disappear into Link the pig, just like a normal wrestler getting absorbed by the belly of a sumo wrestler. 10. Lisa URAQT 18:09, 22 March 2009 (UTC)It's a big, black awesome pig that digs when you spread bait on the ground. Yeah, pretty random, I know, but look what happens when you attack it! I rest my case.
  11. I think this guy takes the pork (pun intended). It's like Cuccos when you make it mad... except on elephant steroids.—Triforce4.pngTriforce 14(...) 19:25, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  12. This is the deadliest, most ferocious beast in the series. Killed within SECONDS. Don't mess with it. Mr. Armored Hog over there, while pointy, is NO MATCH for Link the freakin' pig. Seriously, even Smoochy would be afraid. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 21:52, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
  13. This pig is a ferocious killer! I attacked it once and it killed me!Zeldamaniac95
  14. Link the Pig is just cool and whenever I look at Lord Bulbo I think of slaughterhouses.--PoogMaster 00:42, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
  15. He has been named after link. How much more awsome do you get. Metroidhunter32 21:57, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
  16. Both of them are bloody ugly, but LtP gets my vote because he does more damage than you and it takes more to get him to leave you the hell alone. --Bek (talk) 22:24, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
  17. Never played this character however, being the girl that i am i will vote for whichever is cutest! Now that i've got the stereotypical cliche part out of the way, i will also add that my vote re-tied the votes. i love sudden death battles!!! Katamariqueen 22:05, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
  18. He may have devourered his companions, and he may be able to kill you with a few hits, and weighs a ton, but you gotta love the big guy! Sincerely, Watcher.
  19. Clearly Link the Pig. He can find a Piece of Heart, and he can sap your health way faster than the King and his porky mount. Vaati ( Talk to Vaat) 01:52, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
  20. This is easy to decide. Link the Pig rules! If he hits you, he deals 3 hearts of damage. Even more than Molgera!!! He also can't be defeated. He killed me two times!! Snakeboss14
  21. Link the Pig is hilarious, and also very terrifying. He chased me off a cliff and nearly over the roof of a house and nearly killed me before I could get in the water. He's fat and he's not afraid to throw his weight AT YOU.... and lest we forget, he's also invincible. Malion 07:49, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

  1. My vote goes to the pig because this one is actually useful.. Just give it some food and it will dig up rupees and other stuff.. Bulbo is only useful in breaking fences..
  2. Hey, this guy gets points. He really does. Plus (to spite the peanut gallery's comments) WW trumps TP everyday of the weak!
  3. He is invulnerable
  4. He's just so cute when he's small.
  5. PIGS RULE!!! He digs up rupees which is very useful and awesome. It's fun to hit him a bunch of times and have him kill you.
  6. He's BRUTAL!!!
  7. Come on, he's a pig! Pigs are AWESOME! Cute when he's small, bloody powerful when he's big. Go, piggy, go!

  6. This is part pity vote and part that whenever Lord Bullbo appears, King Bulblin is on him. So if for some strange reason Lord Bullbo can't impale Link the Pig with his nice, big horns, King Bulblin will just hack his head off. --Big Poe=Nice Guy 20:28, 22 March 2009 (UTC) Big Poe=Nice Guy
  7. He's like Link the Pig, except bigger and with armor and horns. You know he'd be more dangerous than Link the Pig had the good people at Nintendo not dumbed down TP so much. And yes, I'm making assumptions about what you know. Sue me. --Moblin Slayer(Working on it...) 22:21, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

  13. I agree with MS. I mean seriously, any boar with that armor and tusks could probably kill you! He's like a lean, fit, LtP. Sure, LtP does more damage in the game, but realistically, LtP can trample you, LB could trample and impale you. --Angels' Hellfire 22:33, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
  14. Hm, hard choice here, not, I mean come on, who would choose a porky little squeaker over a heavily armored boar on steroids. No, the little pig doesn't stand a chance, and it's a little insulting to have a pig named Link. User:Iriadinh, Hero of Air
  15. I'm voting for the pointy one with armour! Oddball464 9:27, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

  1. tough one, but though i personall like link better horns, armor, biggerness, and being able to knock link off a horse beats weighing a ton and running at link :)
  2. i enjoy fighting him
  3. Big freakin razor-tusked boar vs. chubby swine.......Bulbo wins in my book
  4. I loved fighting this guy because of the fact That his fights are on horse back. From, Midna Rocks
  5. I hate him. I ate Link the Pig more. Also, he gave me a jousting match. That made me happy.
  6. It's heart was a piece of heart (as stated above, unless that was just a random Bulbo). I dunno, it just looks and seems cooler to me. It's a "Lord'. 05:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
  7. He has a lot more armor and has those sharp tusk things, he would definetely win.
  8. He's awesome. nuff' said.
  9. He's fat, he rides a pig, his pigs fat. That makes him instantly cool.Mr.Fairy

This fight won! Awesome! The Pigmask Army triumphs once more! Portal-Kombat

Thanks for notifying me. I usually notice when I forget to sign my votes.... Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:56, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Huh....interesting how everybody predicted that this would end up being a Wind Waker vs. Twilight Princess fight, yet nobody has made any comments about the games they're from yet. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Why are both vote collumns white and the penut gallery on top? Metroidhunter32 14:56, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

I have no idea, I can't work with this coding stuff. This entire week has been pretty messed up....I wish AuronKaizer would come and fix this stuff. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 19:28, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Gonna go ahead and make a nerd reference here... It's like in Star Trek: DS9 whenever Chief O'Brien leaves the station, everything instantly goes to hell, systems-wise, because he's the only one who gets how everything works. If you didn't know I was a Trekkie before, here's your official confirmation.--Bek The Conqueror 22:18, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

All fixed...The color problem was caused by an unneeded quotation mark after the color name, and the Peanut Gallery problem was caused by some missing code. --Moblin Slayer(Working on it...) 20:37, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Um, Mrs.MikauShadLink, I think the one that you skewer and get a Piece of Heart from is just a regular Bullbo. Although that does raise the question of what happened to Lord Bullbo after the second King Bulblin fight.... Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:31, 23 March 2009 (UTC) Mmmmmmmmm, Lord Bullbo. (From, Midna Rocks)

Thats why I thought it was him, because the 3rd time you fight King Bulblin, he doesn't ride his piggy. Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:00, March 23, 2009

Wow, despite the mostly link the pig dominated beginning, this is a very even fight. currently no one has the advantage. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror.png 00:17, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I would laugh so hard if this ended up being the most even fight. I predict that Lord Bullbo will eventually pull ahead, though. I'm not saying that this will always happen, but this seems to be the pattern when we do Wind Waker characters vs. Twilight Princess characters: First, the Wind Waker character wins by a landslide because many of the established users (and thus the ones that generally vote before other people) like Wind Waker and its characters. Then, the middle class (the people that are recognized, but not quite to that extent) votes and evens it out until it's tied or near tied. Finally, the anonymous and newer users vote for the Twilight Princess character, which wins by about 4-7 votes. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:00, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I finally figured out a fight with a wizzrobe. It took me forever to think of, so I went a bit out of the box to figure it out. When the next fight is put up, then I will put it on the suggestions page, until then it is a secret. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror.png 12:58, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

This fight is so awesome!!! Right now it's actually a perfect tie at 19! Portal-Kombat

When does the next fight start so it can end that way? Metroidhunter32 21:08, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

To those who thought Lord Bulbo released a piece of Heart at the bulbin camp: That was not Lord Bulbo that you hack open, it is just a random bulbo. the facts are that Lord Bulbo is MUCH bigger than the roasted one, Lord Bulbo is gray haired, while the cooked one is brown haired. Also, Lord Bulbo is seen at the final fight with King Bulbin, as well as being shown in the end credits being rode by King Bulbin. User:Shade Link

Does it really matter? Wait, I take that back, because then there would be a MAJOR arguement if it actually mattered. Anyways, I'm too lazy to edit my vote. Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:12, 25 March, 2009

Just for the record shade link im pretty sure that bullbos don't have hair and the skewered bullbo is a diffrent brown than the standard bullbo (probably because it's cooked.) From, Midna Rocks

Well, Midna Rocks, Bulbos DO have hair, just to let you know. it IS a standard bulbo. well, i have nothing else to say, case closed, because i don't want an argument, and i HATE arguments, because i have been in a lot of them on youtube(the ppl i am arguing with usually just freak out for no reason, not saying you do) User:Shade Link

Way close fight but at this point I think the hairy guy with the horns is gonna win. Metroidhunter32 22:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I know what you mean, Shade Link. YouTubers are crazy. This one person kept saying I couldn't get a boyfriend because I like fictional characters, then he starts swearing at me after I made a witty comeback. It was quite funny, actually... Mrs.MikauShadLink 16:13, 26 March, 2009

Hey, anyone who can settle for the crappy video quality on YouTube has to be crazy anyway. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 00:31, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

So technically all youtube videos are YouTube Poops. This fight was SO close... but, the Twilight Princess character will probably, huh.. awesome fight no matter what. Portal-Kombat

Personally, I think it's strange that a big, fat pig is almost even with a gigantic, lean, blue war hog of destruction. sincerely, DekutullaZM

How is it strange? While Lord Bullbo is indeed a very powerful war hog, Link the Pig is brutal and can attack you with an incredible intensity. If you attack him, you're doomed; unless you go into a house or the water, there's no way to escape death when Link the Pig attacks you. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:04, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I think one of the best parts of Twilight Princess (along with a very promising first dungeon) was the first "Battle on the Bridge" and I think that they could've done even more with horse battle segments. They were so much fun... sometimes I wish the twilight portals didn't exist so that you had a reason to ride the horse. Portal-Kombat

Im glad they put them there, even though I almost never use them. I use the horse more often, but still theres people who hate riding the horse so they can just use the portals, its Nintendos way of saying "Sorry we bored you to tears with sailing"Darkest-Link123 23:48, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey guys, I need help. For some reason the site won't let me create an account at the time. What should I do?????????? Mr.Fairy

mr fairy, just find a way such as age? maybe if you say you are born like me, 1991, try that, then you might get in--Shade Link 13:14, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

While agree that (although I forgot)(Yeah right) link the pig can kill you very quikly, I just want to say that there is one more place you can survive from. If you attack him from the pen, stand on the fence and you will not be harmed. However, if you do it at night, if will look extremely freaky. DekutullaZM

Ugh, it's so annoying when people are like "I can't believe people are voting for the idiotic cartoon pig over there". I mean, Link the Pig is obviously popular....why do people have to insult the people that like him? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 18:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

What do you mean Shadelink?Mr.Fairy

Hey XYZ, You are correct because people shouldn't insult other people on a public website.Mr.Fairy

Mr. Fairy, based on your vote, you seem to be voting for King Bulblin....but we're talking about Lord Bullbo, his mount. It just so happens that Lord Bullbo is never seen without King Bulblin, so we there are no images of Lord Bullbo without King Bulblin and as such the image can be somewhat misleading. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 09:20, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Mr. Fairy, what i am saying is, how old are you? maybe that is why, i see ppl that are not old enough, so just say you are as old as me, which just say 2001--Shade Link 13:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

oops i said 2001, i meant 1991. i really get confused with dates--Shade Link 19:23, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I apologize if my statements rubbed some of you *coughXYZcough* the wrong way. It just seemed so strange. By the way, why is everyone under the false impression that Link the Pig ate his fellow porkers? It was the pigs owner! At least that's how it looks... DekutullaZM

Back when I played through Wind Waker the first time my friends and I thought that the biggest pig had eaten the other two. It wasn't until I talked to some of the villagers before I got the third pearl that I found out that Abe's family ate the pigs. The worst part is that the mother says something like "The monsters got the pigs" or something like that 0_0 Portal-Kombat

Shouldn't this fight be over? A week's gone by...DekutullaZM

Week 39: Big Octo vs. Gyorg Pair

Big Octo (The Wind Waker).png
"Big Octo!"

The blue Gyorg
The red Gyorg

LLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN! We here at Zeldapedia are now proud to present to you the 39th Week in the Temple of Courage! All right! For this weeks bout, you may notice our arena has been filled with water. Why, you ask? You're about to find out!

In the light blue corner, we have an enourmous, multi-eyed monstrousity! Hailing from the Great Sea, this titan enjoys seagulls and randomly attacking ships that venture into his whirlpool, and hates bombs and boomerangs; Ladies and gentlemen: BIG OCTOOOOOOOOOO!

And in the dark blue corner, you will see not only one, but two giant manta ray things who have tonight blessed us with their presence! Coming all the way from the lofty heights of the Palace of Winds, this deadly duo enjoy each other and their energy blasts, and despise Link and his sword, it's the GYORG PAAAAAAAAAAAAIR!

So, we have two (three, whatever, leave me alone!) giant, multi-eyed fish creatures who are out for blood. And you can bet that our special pool will be filled with that by fights end! Whose blood will it be? It's up to you, the voters! I'm about to pop some of my veins, so LLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! Yeah!

Votes for Big Octo

  1. I like calamari--Twilitlink 22:59, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
  2. You don't release the "Lame Stingrays with an Uninspired Name", you RELEASE THE KRAAAAAAKEN!!! Portal-Kombat
  3. Big Octo, along with Iron Knuckles, ReDeads, and Gomess, is one of those things that simply terrified me as a kid. Not realizing the thing with the seagulls, I ran into one of these things accidentally on my first playthrough of Wind Waker and as a result I spent half of the game paranoid about running into another one when I wasn't prepared to do so. Basically, I vote for anything that terrifies me. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
  4. I hate it but its awesome anyway.--PoogMaster 01:09, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
  5. Simple: Even the weakest member of their species (the four-eyed one at Two-Eye Reef) Has enough power to hold a Great Fairy captive. Plus, it's really, really big. Sincerely, Watcher.
  6. What can I say, fighting these guys is hard and nerve-wracking. Besides, anything that includes squishing eyeballs will always win. And stingrays killed my beloved Steve Irwin. Screw you, Gyorg Pair! --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 03:02, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

  8. While I would like to come up with a better reason than this I have to admit, I've never heard the "Gyorg Pair". Gbadude3sd
  9. Big Octo always scared the crud outta me. last time I ran into one when I did not have boomerang, or anything else that could work on them, I freaked out. the gyorg pair is just an embarrassment to the gyorg species. I mean, who would NOT vote for a large 4, 8, or 12 eyed squid that can corrupt seagulls into flying around them, create a whirlpool, and is bent on devouring you whole and blasting you out to the other side of the ocean? User:Shade Link(aka...a new member to come)
  10. Big Octo would probably defeat the other one, mainly because it can make you go VERY far if it sucks you up.. --User:Knigt413
  11. What can I say... I loved killing these things by both methods, and I hate everything to do with the duplication mechanic in Minish Cap. Explains why I hate the final boss so much... Bek The Conqueror 23:32, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
  12. This is an easy one. I've never played Minish cap, so I've never seen the Gyorg pair. BUT, when I first got Wind Waker and stumbled across a Big Octo it scared me so much. Besides, they're kinda sorta hard to kill. So, Big Octo for the win! Daydreamer3173
  13. Big Octos require either bombs or boomerangs to kill them. With the Gyorg pair, you can just hack them with your sword.Bkarcher97
  14. I really hate to say this, but i vote for big octo. the gyorgs were cool, but, well, how can you not vote for a giant, multi eyed kraken??? User:DekutullaZM
  15. I still remember the first time I saw a Big Octo. It was at night and under Ganondorf's curse. Suddenly, a seagull, oh! another seagull. What? Another? --Big Octo fight theme plays-- It's, it's, it's the KRAKEN!!! Seriously, this guy swallows the Gyorg pair by just opening its mouth. Also, the twelve eyed Big Octo swallowed me two times before I beat it. Snakeboss14 20:27, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

  1. I haven't played the minish cap yet but big octos are fun to kill, they have gigantic eyes, and they look cooler than the gyorg pair.
  2. I dunno about The Wind Waker Big Octo as I have never played it but the Big Octo from OoT and MM is classic. That and Big Octo has appeared in 3 games whilst the Gyorg Pair has appeared in one (granted Gyorg has appeared in more but not the pair). What does that tell ya?.
  3. When I played the Wind Waker when I was 6 it was the scariest thing I saw in a video game, the music still creeps me out.
  4. I'm gonna have to go with the Big Octo. It made me afraid of seagulls (in game of course) when I was younger.

To the second anonymous voter for Big Octo, the Bigoctos from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are completely different creatures and as such are not considered the same thing. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 00:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

The easiest way to take down Big Octos is using the Boomerang. In fact, pretty much everything in Wind Waker will die easily if you hit it with the Boomerang before attacking with your sword. Portal-Kombat

your going to need a very big fish tank, Katamariqueen. Oni Dark Link 17:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

as far as i know in wind waker (i presume its wind waker due to the seagull comment) the restircted sailing until you complete forest haven quest stops you from entering any squares with a big octo so im a bit confused shade link as to how you can fight one with out a boom a rang Oni Dark Link 21:39, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I just realized something: while your path is still restricted and you have to pass from Dragon Roost Island to Forest Haven, the first island you pass by is Fire Mountain! There's actually a Big Octo on that square 0_0 what could possibly happen if it ate you, maybe it would spit you out in one of the beta test rooms (that'd be my wish, anyway!) Portal-Kombat

I have been swallowed and spit out many a time by that octo at Fire Mountain without any projectiles. It just blocks you from any islands you haven't passed by. Windfall to Dragon Roost to Forest Haven are all fine because you've been through those islands before. After Forest Haven temple, you can go wherever. Mrs.MikauShadLink 21:40, 17 March, 2009

o yeah i forgot about the fire mountain one Oni Dark Link 09:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

The easiest way to kill a big octo is to use bombs or light arrows, bombs because it takes 1 or 2 hits to destroy an eye, and light arrow because it takes one hit to destroy an eye, plus, light arrow pierces through stuff it hits, so if there is an eye on the other side, it will destroy that eye.Shade Link

Actually, bombs are much harder to use, since they're very hard to aim properly. Light Arrows are effective, but they take up a lot of magic power and you don't get them until late in the game when you've probably already defeated most or all of the Big Octos. They're also somewhat hard to aim. So I personally think that the boomerang is the easiest way to kill a Big Octo, since it's very easy to aim, despite not being as powerful as bombs or arrows. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 20:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Geting eaten by the fire mountain octo on your way to the forest haven doesnt do anything that doesnt usualy hapen (You lose 1/4 energy and get spit to a random area near the mountain.)

I find the regular arrows easiest because you can lock onto the eye, shoot twice fast, then move on to the next eye. Mrs.MikauShadLink 15:56, 18 March, 2009

well yeah maybe the boomerang will work. but I am a great archer and I have a lot of magic, elixer soup, a lot of bombs, and a lot of arrows, so the light arrows work for me. Last time I killed a Big Octo, I only used Light arrows. Shade Link

That is, last time I killed one when I had Light Arrows (on second quest, but I am not gonna complete it just yet, but maybe recomplete the other second quest files I have) Shade Link

Even though every thing so far is a good way to beat the Big Octo, the Boomerang is the most efficent way to kill one. After all, it's easy to aim, it can hit up to 5 eyes at once, and can take less time then just trying to aim at an eye with a bomb or arrow. Forget power; it's all about efficiency, baby. Sincerely, Watcher

That all depends on how much of an item you have and how good you are with it, I constantly have soup and blue potions, a double magic bar, and 99 arrows so I can just fire aim lessly and kill an 8-eyed octo in about 25 seconds, the boomerang takes longer because you must wait for your ship to circle aroud to present more targets. From Midna Rocks. (Thanks for the idea Watcher, I've been coming here for a while and I think it's time I give myself SOME identification. My parents won't let me make an account either.)

You're welcome. It's nice to know that I've been able to help another faceless user get along in this community. Sincerely, Watcher

You can kill a big octo with less than 30 arrows, it doesn't matter about aiming, you can lock on to the eyes. MikauShadLink 22:37, 19 March, 2009

People can use whatever strategy they find the easiest. Let's just leave it at that. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:53, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I am pretty suprised about the results of this fight so far. I was expecting Big octo to lose because gyorg pair flies, and there are two of them in one fight. Dialask77 Ice Wizard Ice Sorceror.png 19:58, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Why would those facts make a difference? Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Don'know. Guess it would appear to make them awesome... Oh well, NEXT FIGHT! Sincerely, Watcher. P.S.: I forgot to log on just now, but this is me. Don't say otherwise.

Week 38: Dead Hand vs. ReDead (Twilight Princess)

Dead Hand.png
Dead Hand.png
ReDead (Twilight Princess).png

IT'S TIME! Yessir, LLLLAAAAAAAAAAAADIIIIIIIIIESSSSSSSSSSS (hopefully, you do exist) AND GENTLEMEN, Zeldapedia is proud to bring you, for the 38th time, the Temple of Courage! And boy, this week will be one fiercely (un)deadly fight!

In the one corner...we have an undead abomination whose appearance may or may not have been inspired by Michael Jackson...the bringer of nightmares of the braindead computer game addict generation...DEAD HAND!

And in the other...a mysterious undead swordsman that freezes the hearts of men (and Hylians, obviously) with its piercing scream...wreathed in the crimson red color of blood...REDEAD!

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that this week's fight will be a good one! the name of world peace, in the name of world profits...LET'S GET READY TO GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE!

Votes for Dead Hand

  1. Dude, what can I say? Dead Hand, with its decidedly Silent Hill-ish appearance and sick squelching noises, genuinely scared me when I was a kid...and I'm not a guy who is easily frightened. Also, had to do the battle with a quarter of a heart left due to my friend being a bad player. Jesus, I played like me life was on the line. Can't say that for those second-rate enemies from Twilight Princess. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 02:53, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  2. Has got to be one of, if not the scariest monster in The Legend of Zelda Mythos. Dark Ridley 03:44, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  3. The thing was just funner to fight for me--Twilitlink 05:15, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  4. If it had been Ocarina of Time ReDeads, probably them, for sheer TRAUMA OH GODDESSES. But as the TP ones are... not quite as nightmare fuel-ish, Dead Hand it is! --User:Ryttu3k
  5. I completely freaked out the first time I fought this thing. I can't really say that for the cheap ReDead ripoff over there. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:58, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  6. This thing is freaky and awsome. the other one is to easy to beat if you morph into wolf link and strike fast. And when there are two you can get stuck between the two and just get hit until you die. Metroidhunter32 14:19, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  7. Ok, I find both of them creepy, but Dead Hands aren't as creepy as the Redead Knight. And, the fight is funner. user:dragonmaster kayla
  8. Dead Hand easily, you're meant to be a kid, in the bottom of a well, with a monster with one too many arms. Theo.twili
  9. Well, if it can't beat Link, it can at least give him leprosy...—Triforce4.pngTriforce 14(...)
  10. The second I stepped into the Bottom of the Well with the creepy music playing and the disturbing surroundings, I knew that there was something worse than ReDeads down there. (Honestly, I was expecting something traumatically scary, so this thing wasn't so bad. But still...) Portal-Kombat
  11. I have to say, this was a tough decision. I mean, they're both pretty creepy, the ReDead Knight having its screech, its rotten look, and the giant sword. But I have to say, the Dead Hand is far creepier and cooler. I mean, what's more disturbing than walking into a room in a PLACE THAT LOOKS MORE LIKE A TORTURE CHAMBER THAN A TEMPLE and seeing a bunch of red and white arms sticking up out of the ground? Ugh. Sir Real
  12. Where to begin on this guy? He looks awesome, he fights in an awesom place, and if you're not careful, you're lunch (well, ReDeads do that too, but if you aren't careful around them, there's a good chance that you're not lunch). Plus, Dead Hand? Pure awesom. This guy could beat Chuck Norris! Sincerely, Watcher.
  13. ReDeads aren't that fun of enemies and these things are f'ing creepy. Oddball464 21:20, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
  14. If the opposing enemy was a normal ReDead, it would have my vote, but it is a ReDead Knight, which is not as interesting as a regular ReDead or the Dead Hand. Eclair Blanc
  15. Dead Hand all the way! His looks may be deceiving, but he's not that easy to defeat. ReDead Knight can freeze you, sure, but Dead Hand can hold you down and EAT you. So, I'd rather face a ReDead Knight than Dead Hand ANY day. Daydreamer3173
  16. 16 Even though Redeads made me have to give up the Wind Waker when I was about 10-11(Those douchbags gave me nightmares!) I'd have to go for the Dead Hand. Reason why is because the TP redeads suck. When I first realized the next room I was enterin had areadead I was all "Ohhhh nooo" But when I faced him Im like "They call THAT scary?!" Tp redeads are like little gnats compared to OoT and WW redeads. User:UltimateChaosOverLordYanm
  17. Dead hand rulesss!! User:BetweenBlack&White
  18. Zelda never gave me nightmares until this guy showed up. Redeads have nothing on Dead Hand-What with his scary sway and the way he casually leans in to eat your head off, all the while, you're helplessly stuck in the grasp of long, bony hand! Guess ill be having more nightmares again. Katamariqueen 18:57, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
  19. I vote Dead Hand!Zeldamaniac95
  20. Dead Hand was a fun fight. It was creepy and I like creepy. Of course, the wholoe Shadow Temple was creepy. Xicera 16:46, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

  1. Very much Dead Hand. ReDead Knights were extremly annoying, but not that scary, and, unlike in OoT, very easy to kill.
  2. This is one of the most ugly and disgusting-looking monsters I ever fought in the Zelda series. He wasn't only annoying, but also a sub-boss in the Shadow Temple and a boss in the well. One bombarrow could kill a ReDead Knight, but the dead hand isn't beaten that easily.
  3. ReDead Knights seemed more combat-oriented than the ones in OoT (btw, they look more like Gibdos), and Dead Hand was scary because there was no indication that you were about to escape from a hand, if you get what I mean. ReDead Knights, unlike ReDeads in OoT, attack with a sword, which is much less creepy than grabbing you with a hand and biting you.
  4. THIS THING LOOKS CREEPY!! a redead has to walk to you, and take time to swing a sword at you, but a dead hand just simply walks up to you and chomps you in the face. owww......... a new member to come
  5. This thing scared the crap out of me when I first saw it in the bottom of the well, BUT IT LOOKED SO COOL!!! ReDead knights just scream and take a long time to swing their sword and the Ocarina of Time ReDeads are way better than they are. And Ocarina of Time is way better than Twilight Princess anyway. I also love the way the dead hand tries to chomp your head off.
  6. Dead hand guards both the eye of truth and the sacred feet. what else can I say?
  7. I think we can all agree that Dead Hand is true to it's name while Redead Knight isn't true to it's name until you kill him.Mr.Fairy
  8. I hate Redeads.

  4. These guys are hard to beat, but the screeching sound and their scary appearence amkes them taht bit more awesome! Sheikah-link
  5. The Dead Hand has always irritated me and I always freak out when I'm immobilized by the ReDead, the first time I faced it he actualy killed me. Gbadude3
  6. The ReDead Knight is really hard to beat. You have to attack it from afar or you will be paralyzed by it. It's not a walk in the park. Bkarcher97
  7. I despise both of these creatures for the sheer fact that they scare the crap out of me, so I'll pick the coolest one- the ReDead Knight. SageofWater
  8. The Dead Hand is a pushover. Go ReDead Knight!!! Jarmihi

  1. The ReDead Knight could easily escape from Dead Hand's grip and then slice him in half. Believe me, if it came to a fight the ReDead Knight would win for sure. Whilst Dead Hand can be killed with enough sword swipes, the ReDead Knight can only be destroyed if their body is completely obliterated (explosion or smashing into microscopic dust with the ball-and-chain). Dead Hand can't do that now can he? Oh and BTY that dirt explosion would most certainly not do away with the ReDead Knight.

Does anybody find the opening statement for the two battles a little offensive? I'm sort of on the fence. Girls do play video games, but there is a tendancy for more men to play than women. Mrs.MikauShadLink 20:16, 8 March, 2009

We must adhere to the stereotypes that modern society has given us. 03:26, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't particularly see the problem. All it's saying is that there aren't that many female video game players (which, unfortunately, is true), and that hopefully there are some reading the message. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:14, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Some girls are definitely reading it! (And have been playing video games since age five!) I dunno, the whole stereotype of girls not playing video games may have been true, say, five years ago (where the whole, "You play VIDEO GAMES?" line of questioning was just plain exasperating), but it's not so true these days. --Ryttu3k 08:55, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I think that nintendo games probally have a bunch of girl gamers but mainstream gaming has to many scantaly clad women for them to want to play those. I personaly see nothing wrong with girl gamers. Metroidhunter32 14:17, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

One week. One week without someone blowing one little comment out of proportion is all I ask for! My kingdom for a week! Sincerely, Watcher.

I didn't mean anything like that Watcher! I'm sorry! I was born in a small town where most of the girls were hard-core gamers, but now most of the girls are the "OMG do my extensions match my nails?!" kind. I didn't know what to think, so I asked other peoples' opinions. I'm sorry! Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:27, 9 March, 2009

That thing with the girls in your town is a tragic devolution. I always get depressed when I hear stories like that, no exaggeration. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 05:40, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I get so depressed, as well. It makes me sad to think that women have sunk so low as to ask one another "where they got their boobs done". (a random girl came up to me and asked, then ran away in tears when I slapped her. Go the natural way!) Mrs.MikauShadLink 22:50, 9 March, 2009

Week 37: Orca vs. Rusl

(17 1/2 < 23)

LLLLLLLLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES! Zeldapedia proudly brings to you the thirty-seventh week of gruesome, gory action...THIS IS THE TEMPLE OF COURAGE! BOOYA! And this week good sirs and madams, 'tis a fight between two gladiators; these two masters of swordplay will slice and dice until nothing is left. So...who will it be?

First, we have an elderly gentleman and once a proud warrior on the Great Sea...despite his age, he can still enter the fray and exit as the victor whenever the situation presents itself...a true swordsman...ORCAAAAAAAAAAA!

And his opponent, the (other) yellow-haired protector of Ordon Village...he was among the greatest fencers in Hyrule in the era he lived in...and now, he has returned to this no-man's-land between past and present to do!

Need I say more, people? Those who are about to die are sponsored by Snacky S'mores! LET's FIGHT!

Votes for Orca

  1. Rusl is pretty generic and boring. Orca isn't all tha unique or original either, but there's something about him that makes him stand out. I don't know what it is about him, but I like him anyway. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:55, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

  8. What is wrong with you people? Orca is way cooler than Rusl, who, IMO, is a totally useless coward. Does he even help you, at all? Orca is an awesome old guy who can kick your ass at sword fighting, and this is coming from someone who hates old people. Need I say more?
  9. ORCA RULEZ!!! I hate the cheap wooden sword.

Votes for Rusl

  1. Rusl is a cool guy. While he's a coward and doesn't really do anything useful, like, ever, he's still cool. Most useless swordsman ever too...but! At least he isn't a dementia-ridden decrepit old man who utters sick-ass screams whenever someone screws up during training. Creepy! --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 22:49, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
  2. Rusl has a wife and kids and has an actual role on the plot, unlike Orca, who never leaves his house and has no affect on the main plot other than giving Link his sword. Plus, Rusl saves Link at Hyrule Castle. LapisScarab 00:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
  3. I prefer Rusl because he's a character that moves; he doesn't stay in just one village or field, he goes everywhere. Orca stays in his house with his butthead, bighead brother. He protects his village when monsters come, instead of that old coot who just says "Monsters come out at night". Mrs.MikauShadLink 20:29, 1 March, 2009
  4. I like Rusl because he actually saves Link on his adventure, not like that old fart. Oddball464 17:11, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
  5. Rusl hands down, Orca had no personality and Rusl was a better teacher, he taught Link so well HE could teach people. Also he actually does something in the storyDarkest-Link123 03:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
  6. He is the first character to be shown in the game. He sharpened Link's Wooden Sword, and crafted the Ordon Sword (that Link eventually... stole). He's a member of "The Group". He's pretty darn good with a hawk. He has a golden Cucco. That's all some pretty cool stuff right there. Pianist Link 21:17, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
  7. rusl no fight.(Coolicolo)
  8. Rusl was a competent swordsman in a Hyrule where swordsmanship mattered very much. Orca was an old man who barely had memories of swordsmanship because he lived in a time and place where it was no longer common. Rusl's younger age and better agility would likely overpower the older and more limited in knowledge Orca. Orca knew how to use the sword, but he likely only knew fragments of what Rusl knew. Rusl would just be in an overall better position to win this battle I feel. Hero of Time 87 15:10, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

  19. Rusl didn't spend him time in the bottom floor of his house annoying his brother (if he even has one). He stood up against the Bulblins that invaded Ordon Village after the kids were kidnapped. He deserves this win. Leo604 11:39, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

  1. Rusl would probably kick Orca's ass 6 ways to Sunday. While they're both skilled swordsman you have to be unique to be both a good guy and a villain at certain points in the story (during the Wolf Link part in Ordon Village, Rusl is somewhat of an antagonist). Stand next to him for 2 seconds and you're dead. Also he can handle a hawk that he used to save Link from getting his head impaled by Bulblin arrows. Even if hypothetically Orca won in a sword duel (which doesn't look like it's going to happen), Rusl would just call that hawk and have it gouge Orca's eyes out. Go Rusl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Rusl can play hard and won't be liable to age like Orca.
  3. Rusl is a REAL swordsman and much better of a character, whereas Orca is some out of shape flat character who doesnt know what hes doing when it comes to swordplay
  4. Rusl and Orca were both kind of annoying, but Rusl had some really good moments (that is, saving me the trouble of killing a freakish amount of enemies) but Orca was just annoying. Also, he hit me. A lot. That does not get forgiven.
  5. Orca was just a silly character to me, I mean he gives Link a sword yet he never uses one himself, instead resorting to waving a harpoon around like a crazy old coot. I just see Rusl as a more serious and competent wielder of the sword.
  6. Rusl is actually part of the story line, unlike Orca who is just there to give Link the sword. Rusl may not do that much, but he shows Link how to get to one of the temples and helps in the end as part of the rebellion. Go Rusl!
  7. Rusl rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Rusl. And i'm not just saying that because he's from Twilight Princess. At least he has a backstory, unlike Orca (who's name happens to sound like a whale).

What do you mean by "coward that doesn't do anything useful"? LapisScarab 00:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Interesting Fire Emblem analogy, Moblin slayer. Of course, the lance also loses if it's an axereaver, unless the lance is an axereaver and the sword is a lancereaver. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:38, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Rusl's Golden Cucco was more heroic and useful than Rusl himself. On a related subject, who else here has hit Orca 1000 times before he hits you three times? That was so tedious, but worth it because he breaks the fourth wall :) Portal-Kombat

I did it, although it took me a pretty long time. I usually get tired around 450 hits. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Originally, I was gonna put that even if Rusl had a lance reaver Orca might win against it if he had an Axe reaver, but then that would lead to a long chain of how one could beat the other...--Moblin SlayerIce Wizzrobe (The Minish Cap).gif 19:12, 2 March 2009 (UTC) Moblin Slayer, It is possible in fire emblem to have a lance and beat an axe weilder. That is because if you have a steel sword against an iron axe, what has a slight more power?

Of course, following the recent influx of logical thinking around here, Rusl's strength stat could easily be way beyond Orca's anyway, had the game had RPG stats. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 01:12, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Interesting how we're trying to relate the Legend of Zelda series and the Fire Emblem series when the only significant similarity is that they're both medieval. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 01:16, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm...isn't this when someone tries to convince us that Fire Emblem and Zelda take place in the same universe? And that Marth is Link's great-great-grandfather's second cousin twice removed? --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 01:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Which Link? Metroidhunter32 02:07, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Ok ok, enough of the relating zelda to Fire Emblem. I mean sheesh. The only relation is that Lyon is Vaati's gret great grandfather and that they are both medieval! Dialask77 02:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

That, and the fact that I used an image of Lyon as one of my characters for a fanfic on ZF...wait, does that relate? --Moblin SlayerIce Wizzrobe (The Minish Cap).gif 19:59, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Only if you want it to. Portal-Kombat

i think i clicked the wrong link. isnt this zeldapedia? o wait its zeldaemblenpedia. next temple of courage fight link v marth Oni Dark Link

I'm cheering for marth personally. Dialask77 15:28, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

would be a fun thing to do. not on zeldapedia of course maybe a poll on the smas wiki. id have to vote link though Oni Dark Link

That was already settled in a Melee Event match. Marth beats Link. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 21:09, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I hate Marth. Roy was so much cooler with his BOMB SWORD in Melee. I'm not a Fire Emblem fan, though. My favorite "obscure" series is MOTHER all the way. Portal-Kombat

I wouldn't say it's "obscure". I mean, I hear a lot about Earthbound at least, if not the sequels. Now, games like Uncle Julius and the Anywhere Machine (which is pretty awesome...) I've never even heard mentioned anywhere. Aaaaaanyway, could someone please help us find the topic that disappeared at some point? --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 21:57, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Can't say I'm a fan of Marth either; he's really the generic "honorable prince" character. Nothing interesting about him at all. He's not that impressive in the Super Smash Bros. games, either. Also, I don't feel that Fire Emblem or Mother are obscure at all. Not nearly as popular as the Mario or Zelda series, but really popular in their own rights. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 22:08, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

To be fair, Fire Emblem and MOTHER aren't nearly as obscure as... whatever AK said. They just tend to be the series' whose characters are usually rediscovered through Smash Bros. I learned about Ness and Lucas through Melee. And on the topic of the fight, I have to say this is pretty balanced so far. However, Rusl is going to win and prove once again that people have some strange urge to vote for characters from Twilight Princess. Portal-Kombat
I must object to that statement: I don't think most people vote for Twilight Princess characters by default. I can't speak on behalf of everyone, but saying that people automatically vote Twilight Princess seems a bit narrow-minded and generalizing to me. It doesn't "prove" anything about anyone. I don't see that many comments comparing one game to another here either...which is a good thing. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 02:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

That could have been a bit smaller AK, but I didn't realize that rusl was from tp...If I had I would have voted for him almost... automatically... *makes beeping robot sounds* Dialask77 02:30, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Uh... I didn't say that there was anything WRONG with being an instant Twilight Princess voter. Some people vote for a certain character because they like the game that person was in better. I nearly always vote Wind Waker, it's my favorite game. Portal-Kombat

anonymous voter for orca, it's spelled pwns, not pones. (I spend way too much time on the internet) Solar flute

Um, how is it narrow-minded at all? All Portal-Kombat is saying is that most people vote for Twilight Princess things for some strange reason. That's a straight fact. He's not necessarily saying anybody's saying that people vote for them because they're from Twilight Princess, just that people tend to vote for thing that happen to be from Twilight Princess. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 03:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

I will admit that I am a little bit partial to TP. But I always vote for who's better no matter what game they are from. Also I think the reason that everyone votes for TP characters is that having never played a zelda game before they played TP then came here for one reason or another and are the zelda versions of Halo fanboys who won't listen to a word against them. Trust me I see a lot of fanboys who fit that description. Metroidhunter32 14:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, so what you're trying to say is that TP has a definite fanbase advantage in battles? That, agree with. I wish people could base their votes on the character itself rather than the game it appears in though. --AuronKaizer(...Kaizer!) 15:31, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry AK but you know what they say about wishing in one hand and doing something else in the other do see which one fills up faster. I agree that they should vote for the better character, but I find it unlikely that they will. but it was close for a while and orca was winning at first so it wasn't a bad fight. Dialask77 14:20, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

TP only wins a lot because everything (well mostly) is better, honestly I am shocked Orca did this well, he wasnt much of a character and TWW is the most bashed Zelda out thereDarkest-Link123 00:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh man, I just knew a Twilight Princess fanboy would get involved in this conversation at some point. Look, please just take your insulting comments elsewhere. Nobody wants to hear you insult a perfectly good game. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 02:05, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Dont make an argument out of things, I didnt insult any Zelda game, the closest I got to insulting it was saying that WW is the most bashed 3D game, and it is, I didnt say I hate it, but saying WW isnt the most bashed game is like saying nobody found Navi annoying.Darkest-Link123 03:04, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Thing is, it's common knowledge that people don't like Navi. On the other hand, Wind Waker being the "most bashed game" is your own personal opinion that is not shared by a significant amount of people. And in actuality, both statements are insults; Navi fans just tend to let it roll off of them since Navi haters are so common, so you don't see many people saying that they're insults, while in actuality they are. And I'm not making an argument out of things; I'm just asking you to please not insult Wind Waker, or any other game for that matter. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 04:08, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Seriously? Ok looking at the sales 20-50% of the Zelda fans didnt play it JUST because of the cell shading, then we can go into the game and hear the sailing rants. I see more WW hate than Navi hate to be honestDarkest-Link123 04:21, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Look, I'm not getting involved in this. If my not responding will shut you up with your close-minded opinionated comments, I'm fine not talking to you. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 06:07, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Im afraid you have to learn that sales are facts, theres no opinion in it.Darkest-Link123 06:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Try looking at the real world and seeing what people actually think of the game instead of checking the statistics and making close-minded assumptions. I think you'll find that a lot of people that have actually tried this game like it (well, actually, no you won't; I doubt you'd be open-minded enough to actually realize that some people have different opinions). People automatically look at the game's cartoony graphics and say "Oh, that game must have been made for 7-year-olds" and boycott it without even trying it. So no, in this case, sales are not facts, as they have no significance to the subject at hand; sales do not necessarily mean anything in terms of the quality of the game. Also, regardless of whether Wind Waker is considered bad or not, that is a bit of an aside. The point is that you shouldn't insult games that certain people like, whether or not you or anybody else thinks they're bad. It's fine to exert your own opinion (for example, you can say that you found the game annoying, boring, frustrating, etc.), but simply saying that the game is bad (or "bashed", in your words) is generally not excepted. Xykeb Yvolix Zraliv 07:44, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

i personly like navi and think wind waker is a fantastic game and (in my opnion) is better then twilight princess and can even rival ocerina of time. Oni Dark Link

XZ and Darkest-Link, let's not go too far with all this now. I think, reading what you guys have already written, that this has been blown way out of proportion. Darkest-Link, you stated the fact that Twilight Princess had greater sales records than The Wind Waker, and that The Wind Waker is one of the most criticized of all the Zelda games due to its cel-shading, which are both true. And XZ, you are making the point that just because one game has lower sales than the other does not negate the quality of the game itself in the eyes of those who have actually played it, which is also very true. Look guys, both of you are making valid arguments here, but I think it's just gotten blown way out of proportion. XZ, I don't think Darkest-Link is necessarily criticizing The Wind Waker, merely just stating what we all already know, that the art style didn't go over as well with the public as that of Twilight Princess, hence why not as many people were willing to take it seriously at first. However it grew on people enough that it became one of Nintendo's best-sellers on its Gamecube list, they even made a new box for it giving it that title years ago. I personally love The Wind Waker, and after playing it through once or twice, the cel-shading does indeed grow on you. However, Twilight Princess did indeed blow me away as far as graphics go. Now in terms of story and game quality, I'd say the two are evenly matched, but the sales records may not show that due to the general public being more skeptical of The Wind Waker due to its look. I liked The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both equally to be honest, both had a compelling story and had good graphics when you looked at them in an objective way. But my true love has always been and will always be Ocarina of Time. No game will ever completely top it. They may match it, but never top it.

And for the record, while I did find Navi a bit annoying at times, I still liked her as a character regardless. Hero of Time 87 15:28, 7 March 2009 (UTC) Im not saying thats bad either, people have different opinions. True the people who played it liked it for the most part, just like any other Zelda game, I myself liked it. But sales kinda are statistics for it, if about half of the LoZ fans boycotted it do you think WW is going to have a lot of love going on for it? No, its not fair and I'm not saying its a good thing but just because the basher didnt even buy the game doesnt mean he wont bash it anymore.Darkest-Link123 15:39, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Oh whoops I edited at the wrong time, well Hero of Times right, lets stop thisDarkest-Link123 15:41, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

I've got it! It doesn't involve Wizzrobe, but it's similar...Veran vs. Aghanim! The two masters of magic. In the meantime, I'll think of something to face Wizzrobe...--Moblin SlayerIce Wizzrobe (The Minish Cap).gif 03:44, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
