Not a Recall --Jase 20:05, 21 December 2006 (CST)

Nintendo has stated that the so-called "recall" for the Wii wrist straps is not, in fact, a recall at all, but merely an opportunity for those wary about the strength of their wrist straps to replace them.

You'll be happy to hear this: The Wii has sold 600,000 units in just one week alone! By the way, that's nearly one Wii per second since its November 19th launch.

1500 and 500 --Jase 17:03, 7 January 2007 (CST)

Two very nice numbers, those things are. Zelda Wiki.org now boasts 1500 articles and 500 users. It's hard to imagine that when this project started, we laughed about ever reaching 1000! You guys sure showed us.

Temporary Advertisements --Jase 22:10, 31 December 2006 (CST)

There are some extenuating circumstances that, most sadly, has led me to place a single advertisement on the site. I am incredibly reluctant to do this, as I'd always wanted this site to remain ad-free, but there is a very specific reason why it must be there, and it truly does decide whether or not this site remains online. Please read more if you're curious as to why I placed the ad there.

A run of the Mil --Scott 15:27, 22 October 2006 (GMT)

Just a quick ZU-related update for ya'll. I think it's noteworthy that the forums recently reached 1,000,000 posts by all the members collectively. It's quite a number.

Featured Article

The Zelda Timeline is a common topic of debate amongst Zelda fans. Zelda titles are loosely linked together, therefore it is ambiguous how they truly combine and in what order they do so. This makes it one of the most controversial issues surrounding the Zelda series.

Nintendo has also upheld a "gameplay first, story later" philosophy to their games, which also hurts the formation of a timeline. The recent release of Twilight Princess has also caused an upset in Zelda timeline creation.

There are various topics of debate, ranging from Hylian Cosmology to Ganon Conflicts. Each article in the timeline series offers an in-depth look at each topic of debate as well as questions to pose on the Zelda series.

Wiki Exclusives

Maybe this area will be filled sometime soon. Keep looking here to see if it does.

Announcements / To Do's

  • Many articles need massive cleanup to comply with ZW.org's quality standards. These articles are tagged with a cleanup box at the top of the article. Please improve these articles, especially ones that have been tagged for over a month.
  • If you are willing, please spell check articles as you edit them. Many users have created articles with no regard for the English language - it's our job to make all of this right once more.
  • Many articles are being created, but not categorized! Please see the uncategorized pages at this link and categorize as many as you can to keep the wiki neat and organized.
  • ZW.org is looking for some people (or even a person) who could write articles for the wiki, meaning exclusive Wiki content. The articles can be about anything Zelda or Nintendo related. Interested in writing for Zelda Wiki.org? Send an email to jason [at] zeldawiki.org.
  • In order to continue site operations during some rough times (which hopefully won't last long), a single advertisement has been placed on the left side of the Wiki. This advertisement will be taken down as soon as the "rough times" are over, which, again, hopefully won't last long. Clicking on the ad supports the site, though we will never ask anybody to click on it. In the meantime, please bear with us if you think the ad is ugly.

UPDATE: Someone suggested that donations should also be taken to speed things up. All donations are appreciated beyond words, and they help keep the site up!<paypal></paypal>
