Okay, I've worked on the Inn, its not big enough to take out of the stub section, but its decent now, I'll work on it tommorow, i need to find out about the upper floor, i remember there was this treasure chest outside that you couldn't get to unless you lit the lamp inside, but i cant remember what was inside the chest, and also there was that other room with the gut sitting in Calibure 14:29, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

I took Happy Hearth Inn down, updated the ZW stub ratio, and added references to the page. I'll find something else asap. :P Axiomist (talk) 05:29, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Awesome, I've been thinking, maybe St.GIGA should be removed, and also that I have worked on the Game Boy page, giving it titles and paragraphs to make it look decent, could somone check it to see if its worthy of been taken out of the stub section? it has enough info in my oppinion Calibure 09:53, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
I merged Flying Carpet and Carpet Merchant. That's about all that can be said about this guy, though. He is literally just a random NPC. Ganondorfdude11 06:38, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
You're right, I pulled it down. I'm looking for 2 more stubs now, but I think the Picori Blade has the most potential on what's up here now.
I took down Game Boy and put up Minish Woods Calibure 06:02, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Helmethead removed. I worked on it the best I could.Justin(Talk) 17:00, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Restoration Wall destubbed, within minutes of it jumping on this list! — ciprianotalk 04:03, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

I'm almost happy with it. I'll look for a few references to add to it. :P Let's call references a de facto de-stubbing standard :? Axiomist (talk) 04:07, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Added Festari. — ciprianotalk 05:00, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Added Tuni Nut. Also, I tagged the Restoration Wall page as a stub myself, so Cipriano's change didn't really affect our true stub ratio.Justin(Talk) 21:15, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
The thing about the Tuni Nut though, is that its entire purpose, use, and function is on the page already. I don't think there is really anything extra to add. It's just one of those articles, and it happens sometimes, that will remain short and stubby. =/ — ciprianotalk 21:43, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
I tried to start working on a userbox, but the special page restrictor screwed it up. I implemented the same thing as on the admin template, but again, it screwed the page up. Who made the admin template, anyway?
Preview here:Template:ZELDAJustin(Talk) 21:58, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Well you need to use the Template:Header Icon to make it work. I think we need a more representative image tho, I was looking at the Essences of Nature, Fertile Soil seems fitting in an article growth sense of the term, but I'll let others decide/nominate :P Yeah the stub ratio will go up and down. I thought I killed it when I merged 21 of the old news articles to News 2006. We can't assume we have all of the stubs labeled, some article that are marked as stubs, or needing improvements may be mistagged. It's just a general idea of how well it's going. Eventually we'll have this a manageable category (akin to the Wanted Pages). At that point we may have to move to the articles needing improvements or something. Axiomist (talk) 00:19, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Added a quote and an image to the Crenel Hermit page, and I daresay it looks as completed as it may ever be. — ciprianotalk 04:46, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
It absolutely HAS to be an icon? We can't restrict userboxes? Dang...oh well. Like I said, it's only a rough draft. I'll make it into the fertile soil and turn it into an icon. As for the pixel coordinates for linking, I'm on my Wii again and can't get them from paint. Well, on second thought...I can get them manually. I'll do that. I'mma get us our special icon, guys. Just you wait!Justin(Talk) 05:04, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
I'd rather have an icon actually, as I have quite a lot of userboxes already. =) — ciprianotalk 05:14, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Icon made. Type {{ZWAIF}} anywhere on your page to stick it at the top. I need to test it with Axi's page to see if it eclipses his "admin" icon, though.Justin(Talk) 05:24, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Added references and such to Telescope.Ganondorfdude11 05:19, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Added Floodgate Keeper. It's a tiny article whose only hope is either a merge with a larger one, or a single reference. Text dump that! — ciprianotalk 05:22, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
I've given Floodgate Keeper a bit of love (by which I mean references). • Pete | 10:00, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Looks good, I didn't really know what to do with that one besides sourcing it. =) Added Business Scrub Association, just needs references as well as far as I can see!— ciprianotalk 20:49, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

I read an edit summary about the stub ratio, I get it from a wiki stats page, I'd rather not post the link in here. It would be meaningless if people started gaming it and the other metrics on the page, but if anyone wants to know it, hit me up off the wiki and I'll comply. It hasn't changed much, I think merging pages sets it back. So I was thinking to update it once a week or so, especially since the upcoming ST release is likely to throw it into havoc. Axiomist (talk) 23:11, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

I've never witnessed an article revolution so far that comes with the introduction of a new game, so I bet its gonna get wild, all over the wiki! — ciprianotalk 23:15, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
I've been adding to the St. GIGA page. Can that be placed in the box below, as well? Alter  {T C B H } 00:52, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Uh, Alter? That page is still a pathetic stub. It needs more information on the company. Consider getting info from the company site. Use google to translate it.Justin(Talk) 01:06, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the edit coflict.... Yeah, I didn't realize that was the destubbed page list. What do you think I've been doing to get that little info. When I translate it, it is really hard to figure out. Alter  {T C B H } 01:17, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
100% Completion added. I'm going to work on it, but feel free to finish it if I run out of time.
And thanks for the one you gave me XD
In any case, that page especially should stay listed since it requires translation to get information. That's a top 10-er for sure.Justin(Talk) 01:22, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I pulled Floodgate Keeper down. I think Pete got that as far as it can go, I just added a bit more location info and the glitch quote from him. North Castle is up now. That's probably one of the worst stubs I've seen. Also my stub search is full of Glitch/Hack pages. I think some merging/deleting may be in order. Axiomist (talk) 07:26, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I think I've brought Festari to as good a state as can be achieved. Would someone else like to cast an eye over this? • Pete | 09:09, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Petenu, it's great. =) On the same note, I believe South Shore has been successfully "destubbed" as well. — ciprianotalk
Added Light World. I can just sense Chris will attack this one, as he seems to like topics of ambiguity, and ones that have high writing potential. =D — ciprianotalk 05:37, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
If I may make a suggestion, the Tears of Light page is just screaming for attention. ;) Dany36 16:55, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
Here's a suggestion: the Ganon article. It is well written, but only has 16 sources! (I beleive Alter pointed this out earlier.) An article of that size and significance to the Zelda series should at least rock 50 or more references! As such an important article, this should be priority one, even though it isn't a stub, per say. — ciprianotalk 06:03, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
That I did. I think that warrants its removal from Featured Articles. (Kidding.) Mainstream pages aren't exactly my specialty, but it really needs to get taken care of. I'll see if I can add one or two refs in. Alter  {T C B H } 03:54, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Possible Project Page[]

I've had an idea in mind for awhile, now, and I feel that the time has come for me to bring it forward. We should make a project page entitled Project:Zelda Wiki Article Improvement Force (or any other name you guys want.) I personally think that we can't stay on Axi's sandbox forever =P

Let me know what you think. I didn't create the page because I wasn't sure what name we will have.Justin(Talk) 02:30, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

That was the initial idea, but I haven't heard back from other staff members on it. Blame the holidays. But I figured to see if it would run its course in just a few days or become an involved project or not. Axiomist (talk) 02:43, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Well go ahead and get it going so I can have my sandbox back :D I'll see about having it on the sidebar. Axiomist (talk) 02:58, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, look at the involvement. We have 8 members already including you. If you need any more reason to make one, look at the glitches project page. No one even uses that and it's still there. I say we get a vote on the name and kick up a project page.Justin(Talk) 02:50, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
In fact...
Well, St. GIGA is no longer a stub. Just an article without enough sources. Working on digging those up now, but it may be a while.Anyway, I think it can be put on hold for a while now. Alter  {T C B H } 04:07, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Name Voting[]

We need an official name. I want to know what you guys want. Please vote in the appropriate section and sign.

Keep ZWAIF name[]

Use other name (Please Describe New Name)[]

The simple Article Improvement will have to suffice for the page name in order for it to go in the sidebar below the Image Requests. Axiomist (talk) 03:09, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

I actually agree with you. ZWAIF is just something I threw together in my head. I didn't expect to use it for very long. I favor this name.Justin(Talk) 03:11, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I like the current name well enough, but I think we could do better. However, Article Improvement seems quite bland. It's fine for the page name, but what's the point if there's no cool acronym? (kidding, but still) Alter  {T C B H } 03:26, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
How about ZELDA which stands for: the ZeldaWiki Editor Large-scale Destubbing Assignment. Hmmm? — ciprianotalk 05:03, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
+1 right here. Nice job, C. :) Alter  {T C B H } 05:08, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
It's a bit wordy, but a Z.E.L.D.A. acronym is guaranteed to draw attention from the sidebar...I love it. Axiomist (talk) 07:26, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

I like the Z.E.L.D.A. acronym as well. Ganondorfdude11 07:39, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

I like Z.E.L.D.A., it just works Calibure 11:29, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Z.E.L.D.A.'s good. And I think we just made a majority vote (5 votes out of 8 users.) Gentlemen, welcome to Z.E.L.D.A.!Justin(Talk) 14:24, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Looks good. Although it's been decided, I'd prefer to use the "A" as "Association", rather than "Assignment", because it's not really forcing people to join, or anything. Thoughts? And yes, it's sure to draw attention. Alter  {T C B H } 18:27, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
I'd actually been thinking about that. I suppose we should change it to Association.Justin(Talk) 01:50, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
(Also, can someone move the project page and name change sections to the talk page? We should keep this page for the work only and I'm on my Wii, so I can't do it.)
Although its just a name, I'd rather keep it as "assignment", because "association" isn't really what the group is about. The project is an "assignment" and by changing the name to "association" it places the focus on the group itself, and less on what the group is doing as a function of its name. While "assignment" has a more serious tone, and I do agree with Alter on that, it is what it is. But it's just a name, so really... whatever! =) — ciprianotalk 03:58, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
I do agree with you, but I still think it fits better with the idea. I'll try to think of other "A" words. Besides, what's wrong with the focus on the group? If we create a minor hype about it, people will wish to join, and thus we'll have more articles fixed up. :) Alter  {T C B H } 05:47, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
I get you, that's true. Hmmm... actually, "association" makes it sound more legit than "assignment", which sounds like homework. And I assure you if this wiki was my homeowrk to edit, I would definately not enjoy it so much. ;D — ciprianotalk 06:18, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Stub ratio[]

Whats the stub ration mean? --Ganondox (U) (T) (C) 02:37, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

It's a term I found a site that lists every wiki and compares their number of articles marked as stub to the whole number of pages. Along with Wiki Factor, and other metrics it's a pretty good indicator of how well a wiki is doing and in comparison to all other wikis. ZW is very highly ranked by almost each standard. Axiomist (talk) 15:35, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Nominations[]

I was thinking of adding in Spirit Train the next time a slot comes up. There's a lot of info that could be added to it, and I think it's a must, as many people are going to be looking that stuff up now that they have ST for Christmas. Thoughts? Alter  {T C B H } 21:49, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Badge[]

The badge isn't working for me. --Ganondox (U) (T) (C) 00:32, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

It should be working now. Alter  {T C B H } 01:30, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
