Welcome to the Stacks.
Unlike standard encyclopedia entries, the documents listed below are treated as standalone volumes. Whether they are combined manuscripts or restored archives from defunct projects, each entry here represents a distinct "single-page wikibook" preserved under the GNU Free Documentation License.

About this collection[]

In the spirit of the GFDL, we view documentation not just as data, but as literature. While the mainspace of Zelda Wiki is dedicated to the fluid, interconnected encyclopedia, Project:Books is the reading room for our distinct works, many based on combined works of articles on other wikis licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License.

Gamehiker archive[]

Crucially, this project acts as both the permanent archive and the living successor to the defunct Gamehiker Wiki (gamehiker.com). These texts have been rescued, restored, and shelved here to ensure that the legacy of the original authors remains accessible under the protections of the original license.

The pages archived here may differ from standard articles in several ways:

  • Distinct Titles: They possess creative titles to distinguish them from other source materials (satisfying GFDL Section 4 & 5).
  • Narrative Focus: They are often written with a historical or biographical focus, rather than a simple list of facts.

Legal note: The creative titles found in this collection serve to satisfy the Distinct Title clauses of the GFDL:

  • Section 4 (Modifications): "Use in the Title Page... a title distinct from that of the Document..."
  • Section 5 (Combining Documents): "Make the Title of the Combined Document distinct from that of any of the original documents."
