The Ze Kasho Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Ze Kasho Apparatus,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Ze Kasho Shrine can be found near the South Akkala Stable. When Link enters, he will hear the Shrine's Monk, Ze Kasho, introduce the trial.[2]

Themes and Navigation

At the start of the Ze Kasho Shrine, Link must take control of the spiked platform and slide the spikes in an order to where he can cross safely. After the spikes have been positioned, Link must move the platform to where he can walk across it and clear the pit.

Once Link has crossed the gap, he must hit a Switch which rotates the large platforms, temporarily blocking the lasers allowing Link to run across safely. However, the platforms will rotate too quickly for Link to cross in one movement, so in order to cross entirely, he must again hit the Switch by throwing a Weapon or shooting it with a Bow.

At the end of this passageway, a Treasure Chest containing a Silverscale Spear can be found on a high platform to the right of the exit door. To acquire the Weapon, Link must again hit the Switch with a ranged attack and quickly jump onto the nearby platform that can be found rotating around the walkway. Once the platform stops at its highest point, Link can use the Paraglider to glide to the platform which holds the Treasure Chest.

In the final room, Link must again take control of a platform and roll three Ancient Orbs to hit three Switches. Once all are hit at the same time, the door to Ze Kasho will open and Link can receive a Spirit Orb.[3] Ze Kasho will wish him well before disappearing.[4]
