The Yiga Clan Armor Set is an Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.

Location and Uses[]

The full uniform set worn by the Yiga Clan; a shinobi full red bodysuit with an iconic mask. The set consits of Yiga Mask, Yiga Armor, and Yiga Tights.

The set requires each parts to be found individually. They are found in three locations: Akkala Ancient Tech Lab, Great Plateau, and Aldor Foothills. Each of these locations have at least a hostage, who are forced to make armor for the Yiga Clan. Once these hostages are freed, they give Link one part of the Yiga Clan armor set.

The Yiga Armor set has similar statistics like the Stealth Set from Breath of the Wild. It adds Stealth up to silence normal footsteps and make enemies harder to hear Link. It has low armor rating and doesn't provide much protection.

Wearing a full set will make Link pose as a Yiga clan member, allowing him to blend in with at least almost every other Yiga. It also allows Link to access most Yiga-restricted locations, to which he normally could not.

Notes[]

  • Aside from disguise, wearing the full armor set has special interactions for certain situations:
    • Purah will appreciate Link's freedom of expression, but remarks he should show restraint.[1]
    • Impa will feel uncomfortable with Link seeing that he wears the outfit of her tribe's sworn enemy. If Impa is in Kakariko Village, she will ask Link to not to wear it in the village as a joke.[citation needed]
    • Paya will refuse to talk to Link due to the outfit being the sworn enemy of the Sheikah.
    • If Link enters the gates of or wears the armor while in Gerudo Town with the full Yiga armor set, he will be sent to jail.
    • Master Kohga will still be aware of Link even though he's disguised.[2][3]
    • For those Mighty Banana traps by the Yiga Clan, if Link, with full armor set on, tries to pick up the banana, he will be stopped and scolded by other clan members.[4][5][6] If Link burns the Mighty Banana, the whole battle sequence against the Yiga Clan would be skipped.
