Impaz (インパル, Inparu) is an old woman and only remaining resident of the Hidden Village in Twilight Princess. As the last remaining resident, she can't leave the village because of her duty to wait for the "messenger to the heavens" to give him the Ancient Sky Book. She claims her name comes from the founder of the village, which is strongly implied to be Impa.

The Captain of the Piratians appears in the Oracle games. He is revealed to be Queen Ambi's long-lost love, transformed into a Stalfos, making him one of the many Stalfos to become transformed yet retain their original personalities. Throughout the game he searches for the Pirate's Bell. He remains unnamed, except for his title of Captain.
Impaz' race is never stated in the game, but it is heavily implied that she is a Sheikah. She has pointy ears and red eyes, characteristics of a Sheikah. She lives in the Hidden Village, which a sign identifies as "Old Kakariko", the village of the Sheikahs in Ocarina of Time. The (former) inhabitants of the village are described as a "tribe that protected and served the Royal Family of Hyrule" on several occasions. And finally, Impaz was the former owner of the Wooden statue, which depicted the Sheikah eye-symbol.

At some point, the Hidden Village was attacked and taken over by a group of Bulblins, and Impaz became a prisoner in her own house. When Ilia was kidnapped, she was taken to the village where she befriended Impaz. Impaz helped Ilia escape a little while later, but stayed behind herself. As such, she did not know what had become of the girl until Link visited some time later. At first, she kept her door closed, thinking Link was a Bulblin<ref>{{cite|Go home, you savages! Go on, git! Impaz was happy to hear that Ilia was safe and asked Link to return an item Ilia had failed to take with her.

Impaz was surprised and thrilled to see Link carrying the rod, as that meant that he was the "messenger to the heavens" and that she would finally be ably to fulfill the duty that bound her to the Hidden Village.
