The Woman is a character in A Link Between Worlds.[name reference needed]
Biography[]
Hyrule[]
The Woman lives in a house situated in the northeast corner of Kakariko Village. She seems to enjoy peace and quiet, preferring to stay inside her house rather than joining in the bustle of the village.[1] However, soon afterward, she becomes bothered by strange noises coming from her roof.[2][3] To aid her, Link must have obtained the Power Glove, then by using a Cucco, he must land on her roof and lift the stone to reveal a Maiamai, and talk to the Woman again. She will thank Link and reward him with a Red Rupee.[4] Afterward, she admits that she misses the Maiamai's crying.[5]
Lorule[]
The Lorulean Woman's personality is in direct contrast to her kindly Hyrulean counterpart. She is aggressive and seems to enjoy picking fights and arguing. When spoken to, she will ask Link if he thinks she looks strong.[6] If he answers "Sure", she will ask suspiciously if he is lying, telling him that his ears twitched, and that hers twitch whenever she lies, which she hints to be often.[7] If he answers "No", she will tell him that she is, in fact, quite weak, but will also state that she is in training at the Treacherous Tower to become stronger.[8] She will then express surprise that Link has never heard of the Treacherous Tower, and tell him that it is on the summit of Death Mountain.[9][10][11] She then warns him about judging people on appearance alone.[12] She also advises him to try out the Treacherous Tower if he thinks he is skilled enough.[13]
