There are a couple of theories you don't believe that I'd like to discuss:
Hero's Shade = Hero of Time theory: Your reason for this not making sense is that the Hero's Shade is dead. However, that's the entire point. Twilight Princess takes place 100 or so years after Ocarina of Time. The Hero of Time would be long dead by then, therefore this theory is valid at least in that sense.
Bongo Bongo is a Sheikah theory: Well, it's not really that Bongo Bongo is a Sheikah, but that the man whose house was where the well is was a Sheikah. Since I believe that Bongo Bongo was that man (and you apparently do), it follows that Bongo Bongo would be a Sheikah if he was. However, if Bongo Bongo is not this man, the theory only works by saying that the man whose house was where the well is was a Sheikah. The theory is about how the well contains the Lens of Truth, which was a Sheikah item. Shikashi says that the man had an eye that could see the truth, so he probably had the Lens of Truth. This is why some people think that he was a Sheikah.
Zora evolved into Rito theory: Well, this theory doesn't make sense in any other respect, but it's all but confirmed by the fact that Laruto is Medli's ancestor. This either means that Zora evolved into Rito or there was some weird crossbreeding that went on earlier...
Anyway, those are my takes on those theories and why I believe them.
I understand the "hero of time" explanation and the "zora=rito" theory, but bongo bongo wouldn't have to be a sheikah to get the lens of truth. I'm guessing he was also evil before he died, in which case he could have stolen it from a sheikah(or worse!)--sage of thunder 03:32, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Xykeb Zraliv– 4. And they tore down the Tree, and broke it into pieces, and used the wood that was the Soul of the Prince to make their houses and their trinkets, and the Prince was rightly saddened, and he felt the blade of every saw that brutalised the wood that was his Soul as if it brutalised his very flesh, and the Prince said TALK– it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts
Well, of course he wouldn't have to be a Sheikah to have it. That's why it's a theory and not a fact. That's just why some people think he was a Sheikah.
even with laruto the zora rito theory doesnt make much sense. why whould a swimming race urn into birds when plenty of water becomes avalible. i think those scenes dont nessarly mean blood relations but more spiritual relations. all the same can be said for the maidens in link to the past and four swords adventure being related to the sages of ocerina of time OniDark Link 12:14, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
I didn't even think about that one. It does make much more sense though.sage of thunder 13:45, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Xykeb Zraliv– 6. There was the Thief-Wife, who came to the house of the Bridgekeeper to corrupt the Bridgekeeper with her whorish ways and to travel the land of Technology spreading stories and lies of what she found. TALK– it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts
Ok, so I know that this conversation ended a long time ago, but I just noticed what Oni Dark Link said. The reason the Zora needed to evolve, if they did evolve, is because they thrive in lakes in rivers. However, all that water we see in The Wind Waker is ocean water; salt water, in other words. It's quite possible that they couldn't survive in that. That's true of a lot of aquatic animals.
Sage of thunder– "I do NOT have A.D.D.--hey look, a frog!"--My bro TALK– A.D.D.=attention deficit disorder
I see what you mean, but what about all of the zora in the Great Bay, in Termina? I think that's saltwater too.
Xykeb Zraliv– 5. “By the hands of the wilful Men of Technology I have suffered, and thus I vow shall the Men of Technology suffer at the hands of I.” TALK– it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts
Creatures in Termina are just different from the ones in Hyrule. Hylians are no longer monarchial, neither are Zora, Deku are (technically we don't know what their social structure is in Hyrule, but they don't appear to be monarchial), Gerudo live near the ocean instead of the desert...it's quite possible for the Zora to simply live in a different kind of water.
i wouldn't say thats true. They still are the same races despite different habbitats. And the zora live in the sea in oracle of ages. OniDark Link 20:17, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
