Not Magnesis

Yeah, I forgot, that definitely wasn't Magnesis. What I meant was Stasis. That was Stasis. Burning Snow 14:44, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Cool, cool. Technically speaking, we don’t know that’s Stasis- in fact, it seems to act completely different from it. A lot of people are assuming it’s a modified form of the rune or something, given it is yellow and seemingly involves time dilation, but I left the wording vague as he isn’t using the Sheikah Slate, and it could be something else entirely. FYI, this is a great analysis of the trailer. Polygon called it "remix of Stasis". But I know that's speculation too. Burning Snow 01:55, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

Four Swords Adventure 100%

Hey JumbledLimes

I needed to run a few things by you. We have some differing options when it comes to this games 100%. You said some of these items like the heart pieces are only temporary so you don't need to include them. I understand saying something like "You don't need max arrows because you can lose them" but in this case I don't think so. For example if me and my friend both played this game and I upgraded all the items and I got all the heart containers, while he didn't, we still would have both equally 100% the game? Probably not. Whether or not the game is coded to remember if you collected a heart container or not doesn't matter. In general for Zelda games colleting the heart containers and upgrading the items are need for 100%, just because this game forgets you got them doesn't mean they aren't valid. Under this logic you don't need to get any of the armor or upgrade it in BoTW because you can lose it (you can sell the armor), so even though you can lose it doesn't mean you still shouldn't included it on a list. I don't mean to keep beating a dead horse or sound to rude, I'm not. I'm trying to have a good conversation but the fact is that in Zelda games you need to get the heart containers, even if in this case you lose them.

Secondly I for "Shadow Battle", we should revert it to how I had it. Because now it says "Invalid or Missing Term"

Please reach out so we can discuss because I would like to make the proper changes but not without talking it though first. Thanks for your time.

Hey, thanks for reaching out to me on this. In FSA, (as you know), Heart Containers, items, etc are all lost upon the completion of a Stage. Our definition for 100%, as given on the 100% Completion page, is "completing tasks that are addressed permanently to the quest's status." One could obtain all the Heart Containers and item upgrades in a given Stage an indefinite number of times, and still have no changes made to their save file/in the game's data. That's is why I don't consider it falling under our definition of "100%" any more than, say, killing every enemy, as some respawn indefinitely. A similar case is the respawning chests in BotW- sure, each is technically uniquely obtainable, but a file that didn't open a certain chest and, (after a Blood Moon), one that did, are exactly identical.

As for the Armor in BotW, I personally think it should not be counted as part of 100% (I was not the one to add it), as it is both non-unique, and, as you pointed out, possible to sell. It's also impossible to obtain one piece of every base game, DLC, and amiibo Armor, as Link doesn't have enough room- this makes 100% completion of BotW with DLC impossible under its current inclusion. (The inclusion of non-sellable Armor definitely should be discussed sometime.)

As for Shadow Battle, it's totally okay to leave it as a missing Term- it shows we need a term for that page, and incentivizes people to actually store the Term and create a citation for it. If you're unclear on how Terms work, I'd advise asking User:Magicmason1000, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a quick lesson.

Thanks for bringing up your concerns with me, discussion is the only way we can provide the best wiki possible. :) If you want to discuss this more (or anything else wiki-related) with me and others, you should join our Discord server. I'd love to continue our discussion there if you want. JumbledLimes (talk) 12:28, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
