Again, are these templates really necessary? I know you seem to love making them, but can there be some justification? You're sticking them all over the place, and they're pretty drastic changes. - An idea. How about we split the current template into two? Nintendo made and other made. So the Nintendo made would include the actual series and spin offs, and placed on all those proper pages. - An interesting idea, yes, but one I'm hesitant to implement. A lot of the non-canon games aren't particularly well-known by a lot of people (especially games like Tingle's Balloon Fight DS), and so splitting up the template would make it less likely that someone could find that article and learn from the information.
- A separate fan game template might work, but... I might be a little biased there; I'm kind of against the fan game pages as it is as they seem to serve as little more than promotion for a person's own game. I don't think that a fan game article has ever been made by a third-party NOT involved in the game's creation. (I haven't done any direct research, mind you - I'm only speaking based off of the page histories I've looked at) I find it hard to justify NOT creating the template, though, when I'm supporting keeping the main games template as it is, so I certainly wouldn't out-right halt the creation of such a thing. Costume cameos?
Should games that include costumes as cameos really be included here? Namely Dynasty Warriors Vs. and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I'm just thinking these are more along the lines of other cameos: we don't include Kirby games on here even though he pretty much dresses as Link and uses all his moves, for example. While interesting enough to mention on the wiki, for sure, I'm not sure they really count as being related to the Zelda series any more than any other cameos in various other Nintendo games, as it's just costumes rather than actual characters appearing. Heck, Link actually appears in Super Mario RPG and DKC2 and they're not listed here. User:Fizzle/sig 18:32, 15 September 2012 (EDT)
- I've already proposed the deletion of Dynasty Warriors here. As for Tekken, I was thinking it might be best to play that by ear and wait for the release. At that point we'll really know how Zelda-relevant the game is.
