Turtles are a recurring species in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Characteristics[]
Link's Awakening[]
In Link's Awakening, Turtle Rock is a Sub-Boss of the eponymous Turtle Rock Dungeons.
Majora's Mask[]
A Link Between Worlds[]
In A Link Between Worlds, the Mama Turtle and her three baby Turtles, Tallo, Jillo and Sabro, reside in Lorule Lake. When Link first encounters the Mama Turtle, she pleads for his help in finding the babies,[2] who must be rescued from various predicaments around the Lake. Once rescued, the Turtles return to their mother and climb atop her back, their shells acting as platforms that Link can ride on to access Turtle Rock.[3]
Super Smash Bros. Melee[]
The Giant Turtle from Majora's Mask appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a stage element on the Great Bay stage. It rises and falls through the water on the right side of the stage, and its shell and palm tree serve as extra platforms when it's above water. It may face toward the screen or with its head facing left.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
With the Great Bay returning as a stage for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Giant Turtle returns as well, in the exact same role. Its design was updated to match that of Majora's Mask 3D.
