Ancient Cores are items in Breath of the Wild.
Location and Uses
Ancient cores are a rare drop from Guardians. They can also appear in Treasure Chests found in the Overworld, in Shrines and amiibo rewards. Link can give them to Purah at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab to upgrade his Runes. Alternatively, they can be used at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab as ingredients to create various pieces of Ancient equipment, including the Ancient Armor Set, Ancient Short Sword, Ancient Bladesaw and Ancient Spear.
