Trill

Template:Animal Trill is a character in Twilight Princess. He is a Myna-like bird with an afro and belongs to Coro.^{[citation needed]}

Biography

Trill runs a shop near the Forest Temple that sells Lantern Oil for 20 Rupees and Red Potion for 30 Rupees. If Link takes an item and leaves without paying Trill, he pecks Link until he pays. If Link pays less than the cost of the item, Trill calls Link a cheapskate, while paying more than the amount required causes Trill to call him a generous young man. He will call Link stingy every time Link returns if he pays less than he's supposed to for an item. If Link steals from his store and talks to Trill as a Wolf, he reveals that his master got mad at him for it. As a result, he puts water in the Lantern Oil urn. This does not effect the potency of the oil.

Trivia

• Like Ooccoo Jr., Trill occasionally throws the word "Hey" into sentences; for example, he might say, "Hey, buy something, hey."
• Trill is probably named after TRILL, a well-known brand of bird seed.
• Trill will attack Bokoblins (whom he refers to as 'the evildoers') if they come too close to him.
• Link can steal from Trill without Trill knowing by taking Red Potion/Lantern Oil, then saving and quitting. When the game has restarted, Link will be back at the beginning of North Faron woods with his new Red Potion/Lantern Oil.
• The fact that Trill attacks Link for not paying may be a reference to the shopkeeper in Link's Awakening, who kills the young hero upon re-entering the shop after stealing an item.
