Tinsuits are anthropomorphic, wolf-like knights found in The Adventure of Link. Tinsuits first appear in Parapa Palace, sprinting towards Link from either the left or right. Though these foes cannot jump or throw objects, they use their speed to ambush Link and a small blade-like weapon to inflict damage. Interestingly, the Tinsuit saps Link's experience as it deals damage. Though it may make sense for it to be so, Link cannot earn any experience by defeating these enemies. The Tinsuit is one of the few enemies in The Adventure of Link that does not have a color variation or strength increase in any later incarnation; the enemy retains the same attack technique and life meter throughout the entire game.

The Tinsuits are knights that take the appearance of anthropomorphic wolves found in The Adventure of Link. Tinsuits constantly move left or right, and being hit by one usually results in a loss of experience points. However, these enemies are very weak, and a hit from the sword can usually defeat it in one attack.

Tinsuits (The White Knight)

Tinsuits as seen in the animated series

In the animated series, Tinsuits have a more human-like appearance than how they are depicted in the game, and actually highly resemble the Armos statues as they are seen in the cartoons; moreover, they seem to portray superior sword-fighting abilities. In "The White Knight" episode, while Link and Princess Zelda are in an unnamed village, Tinsuits rise from the Underworld and begin to attack the young hero and the princess.[1] Link easily zaps several Tinsuits, with one of them dropping a crossbow and Rupees. With Link distracted by the loot, a Tinsuit throws its spear at Link and knocks off his sword, then grabs him from behind as more Tinsuits start to come off the ground. Link kicks the crossbow to Zelda, who zaps away the Tinsuit that was holding Link and gives him a chance to escape. However, a Tinsuit that was on the ground trips Link and grabs him by the ankle, and shortly after, the Tinsuit blows a horn to summon an Octorok. With Zelda's crossbow now out of ammo, the Octorok throws Link off to a nearby barn, but the young hero gets back up now holding a piece of wood. The Octorok then fires a beam of light that the young hero bats back so that it finally defeats the last Tinsuit.

In "The Moblins are Revolting" episode, Tinsuits are part of the Brotherhood of Underworld Monsters and are one of the many foes who try to get revenge on Link and Zelda. A particular scene shows several Tinsuits that begin to climb a ladder to get inside North Castle, but the ladder eventually breaks due to their weight.

Captain N: The Game Master

Tinsuits make a brief appearance in the "Quest for the Potion of Power" episode of Captain N: The Game Master. When Link, Princess Zelda, and Kevin arrive to the Parapa Palace, they are promptly greeted by three Tinsuits rushing over to attack them. However, before they even have a chance to inflict damage upon the heroes, Link easily zaps the monsters with his sword.

Trivia

Enemy Keatons from The Minish Cap share similar characteristics to Tinsuits: both have a canidae appearance, are very fast, fairly weak, and steal from Link (be it Rupees or EXP).
