"The Royal Guard's Gear" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview[]

"The Royal Guard's Gear" is a Side Quest offered by Parcy, a Hylian traveller who resides at the Riverside Stable. When Link first meets her, she asks him if he has ever been to Hyrule Castle, explaining that it had fallen to ruin over 100 years ago.[2] She used to sneak into the Castle herself looking for ancient treasure, only to stop more recently due to the environmental hazards that surround the area.[3] Back then, Parcy was looking for equipment from the Royal Guard's Series, though she was never able to find any.[4]

Link must retrieve at least one piece of the Royal Guard's Series from Hyrule Castle to show to Parcy. Upon seeing one of the Items, she will recognize it and ask to see it.[5][6][7][8][9] After looking at the Item, Parcy will thank Link and express a desire to find one herself.[10] As a token of her appreciation, she gives Link a Gold Rupee.[11] Once this is done, the Side Quest will be complete.
