The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga was a manga story that ran from 2016 to 2023 by Akira Himekawa loosely based on the 2006 Nintendo GameCube/Wii title Twilight Princess. The series was first released on February 8, 2016 in Shogakukan's Manga One app in Japan.[53] Each chapter was originally being serialized each Monday every two weeks, then was later changed to the last Monday of every month, with some exceptions. English, German, Spanish, Italian, and French versions are also being published.[54] In total, there are 11 volumes.
Himekawa started working on the manga in 2006, but it was never published at the time due to the game's CERO "B" rating in Japan, which is equivalent to the "E10+" (Everyone 10+) rating by the ESRB.[55]

Midna's Father[]

Midna's Father is shown in the manga's first chapter and is spoken of by his daughter, Midna.
Darpa[]

Darpa is a prideful boy who had trained to be a swordsman alongside Link in his childhood.
Rioma[]
Main article: Rioma
Rioma is Link's childhood friend and fellow knight in training.
Zeu[]

Zeu is another knight in training and friend of Link's from his younger days.
Trivia[]
- Some combat scenes of the manga, such as when Link battles Ganondorf, depicts graphic violence beyond the level of any mainline The Legend of Zelda series game. This is possibly a reference to Twilight Princess being known as one of the darker installments and the game itself rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB.
- Although ultimately an illusion, the Hero's Spirit (who is formerly Link the Hero of Time from Ocarina of Time) is shown assisting Link the Hero of Twilight, Princess Zelda, and Midna in fighting Ganondorf at the climax, which does not occur in the game.
- Midna's relationship with Link in this media is shown more explicitly in comparison to the original game and is even romantic.
