I like the idea of having this template. This way in the event of new installments being made, we can just add the new characters to this character template. And if it gets to the point it might get too big, we can use the tabber system we use for the sword navigation template, or the game navigation template.

We can have characters seperated by Eras on the Tab. Characters from the "Warriors" era being on the front, then Era of Time characters, Era of Twilight characters, Sky Era characters, Great Sea era characters, ect. And we can use those little triangles next to their names to notify what games they are added in, if they are DLC, ect.
Ixbran (talk) 12:42, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

:Someone once created this template because they wanted the HW and HWL pages to both share the template without having to edit both pages whenever there was a change to be made. However there's no point to this, considering HWL is only intended to be a port and a slightly enhanced version of the original, meaning the HW page should be treated as the main page (Much like how LADX treats LA as the main page, and MM3D treats MM as the main page). If one page is only going to have the table, then there is no point to keeping this as a template. 16:51, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

::These are basically my thoughts as well, hence the nomination. So far it seems unnecessary, given its theoretical use in only one page. -- Zero-ELEC (talk) 20:11, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

:::While I really don't think that either tabs or breaking this template up in any form is the correct move, I have ideas of how this template could be improved to work for both pages with conditional parameters.

:::However, I don't really feel that it's even necessary to include this on both pages. I suppose in the same vein as previous contributors have said: Hyrule Warriors Legends is just a remake of sorts akin to Link's Awakening DX. It doesn't need to have the same listing as it merely builds upon what Hyrule Warriors had. There's no call to have this template, so I would rather we keep it as it was. 00:30, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

::::Heres the thing though, this isnt your typical Zelda game, even from a developers stand point. When KoeiTecmo makes a warriors game, and it is extremely successful, it gets constant ports and updates to make it availabe for more people. Warriors Orochi 3 for example, it got 4 ports. Warriors Orochi 3 for the PS3/360, then WO3 Special for PSP which added 2 new characters, WO3 Hyper for Wii U with 2 more characters, then WO3 Ultimate fpr PS3/PS4/PSVita/Xbone which added 7 new characters, plus the 4 characters from Hyper and Special.

Hyrule Warriors is The Best Warriors title in terms of sales in the west. they are standard in japan, but exceeded expectations in the west. and considering that this newer version is going on a hand held, its going to get even more sales since the people who own 3DS's outnumber those who own Wii U's. I can guarantee that we are going to get a possible 3rd Hyrule Warriors port, after HWL, and it will likely be for the upcoming NX.

So I cant help but feel that this template will be beneficial for us in the long run, which is why I think we should keep it.
Ixbran (talk) 01:55, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

:::::If that comes to pass, we will deal with it then. Also, that does not change the fact that those would still be ports and deserve the port treatment that HWL is receiving. 02:57, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
