The flesh-eating, undead, mummified corpses known as Gibdo (ギブド, Gibudo) have been around since the very first The Legend of Zelda game and have since appeared in several other Zelda's, like A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. In The Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past, Gibdos merely walk around; doing a large amount of damage if one touched Link. In A Link to the Past, they have quite a lot of stamina though they can easily be destroyed with the Fire Rod.
A Gibdo in Ocarina of Time
In Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, the Gibdo is an enemy very similar to the ReDead being similar in movement, figure, and moans. If it crosses eyes with Link, it will freeze him, jump onto his back, and start biting around his neck. In Ocarina of Time, the Sun's Song will freeze them for some time. Despite being similar to ReDeads in many ways, if a ReDead or another Gibdo is defeated in the presence of another Gibdo, the alive Gibdo will ignore the corpse and remain standing and moaning, whereas ReDeads will creep towards the corpse of another ReDead or a Gibdo, crouch down and either mourn it's death or eat the corpse and completely ignore Link. Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages
In both Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, Gibdo can be burned using ember seeds which will cause them to turn into ordinary stalfos. Gibdos are also one of the few enemies that will not be pushed away when Link strikes them with his sword. Instead, they keep moving in the direction, making it seem as if the sword did nothing against them.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, the Gibdo was similar to its Ocarina of Time counterpart except that it couldn't freeze Link or be frozen. Link could kill them by torching them with the Flame Lantern upon which they would turn into Stalfos.
