Since there seems to be some dispute as to this template...I think we should change it. Templates like that aren't meant to be on the bottom of pages, but some seem to think it is "intrusive" and "out of place" at the top of a page. So, since we still need a template like this where people can see it clearly and it doesn't violate policy by being placed on the bottom, we should change it. Any suggestions?
Personally, to make one less intrusive and stuff, we could have a string of text in the upper right corner of the article that says Unofficial or something. Or a small icon, easily recognizable. What do you guys think?
I was thinking of creating a standard template for notices so that they would all kind of match, rather than having such large differences in size, such as between this one and update for example. Examples can be seen here. I also really like the icon idea; that might be cooler.--Richardtalk 00:11, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's at least one thing Wikipedia does right - their boiler plate template all look neat and professional. I agree with you that the current Unknownname template looks downright horrible and big, if that's what you meant by intrusive.
We've fixed the template overlapping into the infobox. But now it seems as if a new problem has occurred. With the template on the pages it adds a pretty much unneeded space between the 'Edited by...' and the article text. Is there any possible way this could be fixed?
Imagemap is borked. It's used on here too. I can't fix it since it's protected. So yeah. Poor no parent imagemaps. – Jäzzi 19:53, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
Fixing the spacing for both skins
As you can see in this edit made by Rappy testing something, I was wondering can we please fix the spacings for this template? And while we're at it, featured and the previously featured need it as well. You can see the difference in the code here and here. Were I able to edit this page, I'd probably message one of the admins and get their approval before changing it, but I cannot. Hopefully we can resolve this soon. And with the featured and Ffeatured to do the same thing. Jazzi 21:43, July 3, 2012 (UTC)
