What the heck?[]
"Ting is Tingle's brand-name drink. Its name is a play on "Tang", the instant fruit-flavored drink introduced in the 1950's."
Given the not-too-farstretched thesis TLOZ doesn't play in the 20th century (Heck, there was no sort of industrial revolution until Spirit Tracks in the series' timeline (which of course doesn't prove anything, but I just assume it's a sign)), I'd like to have the author of this section give a source for this statement since it does look like some sort of unencyclopedic bad joke. I mean, I've been playing through TWW multiple times with the use of the Tingle Tuner and I've never read such a statement anywhere. I hope it doesn't seem complaining-about-things-that-don't-matter-to-anyone-anyway-ish to you, but I just don't think it's the right place for such things... well, if it isn't implied anywhere in the game's script, of course.

- Given that the Tingle Tuner itself is at least some kind of LCD walkie-talkie (if Tingle is following you at all times), and at worst an intensely powerful cell phone that can punch directly to a satellite that must be in space (since there are no cell towers anyway), "industrial revolution" isn't really a question, is it? Hell, we had remote-controlled bomb-robots as early as Ocarina, something we've only had in the Atomic Age, and Crane Games with neon lights in Link's Awakening...I mean, having dried drink powder isn't even modern.KrytenKoro 15:45, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

This page goes on like this thing can only be used by a second player. I highly doubt that most people bother to find a second person to use it most of the time. A small set of rewording should be in order. And maybe we should move all the "player" stuff down into another section of the page? It's not exactly in-universe speak. Pricing[]
The pricing for Kooloo-limpah and Tingle shield seem wrong. While I was using the tingle tuner I saw that the prices for those two were fourty rupees. Do the version of the game (like PAL or NTSC) affect the prices, or are those the prices of those two when you get the Hand me down tingle tuner? Pikachu8090 18:01, 13 January 2012 (EST)
- I believe this article is using only "after" prices concerning items that have a discount event attached to it. The only non-free item that doesn't have a discount event attached to it is the Tingle Bomb.
- The discount event attached to those two items as well as the Tingle Balloon is by going onto the top of a certain cloth porch on Windfall Island after completing the Dragon Roost Cavern; this drops the price of the three items in question by 10 Rupees each from their initial prices; the "before" prices for items in question are 30 for the Tingle Balloon and 40 for the Tingle Shield and the Kooloo-Limpah.
- The other discount event is when going into a specific pot in the Forsaken Fortress. Obtaining a special broth from this pot will halve the price of all Ting varieties; the "before" prices are 20 for Red Ting, 40 for Green Ting, and 80 for Blue Ting.
- I'm not really sure why "after" prices are portrayed as the default prices. One would think, if only one set of prices were to be used, they would have been the more expensive "before" prices...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 20:57, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Tingle Tuner extras[]
Perhaps some info about the extras available would be good. 46 extra light rings (every sector except Windfall, Dragon Roost and Thorned Fairy) as well as the ability to quickly scan the sector for light rings via the Tuner, a 50 rupee treasure in the first two temples, that fairy story in the third, various pots containing 20 rupees, that respawning 100 rupee pot on Outset etc. There's loads of stuff to do with it that's not on this page.
