I think he's a completely original character designed for the game?

He's probably original... are the shirts in animal crossing called Kaffe Shirt and Anju shirt? Oh and Happy Halloween!

Haha, I was just about to comment on him possibly being Link's counterpart... which is possible, they have the same build, need for justice, and taste in masks... and who knows... Sheik could be Zelda's Terminian counterpart... didn't see that coming ay?
When i first saw Kafei, I thought he was a girl. Thadeu (talk) 16:26, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
lol me too! and with link... yeah my first zelda game was windwaker, and well... its totally resonable in that game...
Kafei seems almost like he's supposed to be the inversion of Link, so he may well be meant to act as a counterpart. He is turned from a man into a boy, is hesitant to accept what has been thrust upon him but does, none the less, accept his circumstances and then fight them as best he can, though while Link acts a bit like a paranoid man in a child's body, Kafei acts like a child unable to accept change who just lost his adult body. Just thought I'd let everyone know: Kafei can "attack" similarly to Link. He swings his left arm, as if he has a sword. I've added this to the article several times, but everyone keeps removing it. Why??? I am going to add it again. But I'll word it better, so that no one removes it.--17:56, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
Sir Real– Objectivism is the justification for the indefensible. A defiant plea for those who are already guilty. A twisted, revolting pseudo-philosophy that both exonerates and idolizes selfishness, greed, and a purposeful lack of concern for anyone but oneself. TALK
I saw that this page says that Kafei is a sticker in SSBB, and I was wondering if sticker info should be added to pages about characters and objects that appear as stickers in SSBB.
I would think so, given that we mention other non-canonical appearances in official Nintendo games (such as Smash Stages and Trophies). If this becomes agreed upon and someone wants to go through everything, you can find the sticker list here, straight from good old Sakurai. Wow, that sight brings back memories. Pre-Brawl buildup. Good times, good times. Also, here are links to Smashwiki's list of SSBM trophies and SSBB trophies from the Zelda series. Again, wait for more opinions than mine before anybody goes on a crazy edit spree trying to put all these in.--FierceDeku 00:22, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
