Sword Images[]
If someone has time, it'd look good to take the images for the Gilded Sword and the Great Fairy's Sword and photoshop a white background. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jin-gpuser (talk) 00:07, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- (Note) We have these now: Gilded Sword and Great Fairy's Sword and we prefer no background over white background to match with the blue background on the wiki. — 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤) 23:53, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Page Deletion[]
Not sure where the proper discussion for deletion should start, but I believe this page should be deleted and each individual sword given its own page, and insertion into the 'Swords' item category. A list of 'swords from Majora's Mask should be created as an item sub-category, such as 'Majora's Mask items', 'Ocarina of Time items', etc. Just my two rupees. --Jibegod (talk) 11:47, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- (Note) The page (Swords of Majora's Mask that you were referring to) was since deleted as it didn't fit our modern policies and was generally unhelpful. Like you said, each individual sword now has its own page with a lot more information. We now also have Categories for Swords and Items like you mentioned. — 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤) 15:06, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Soul Calibur II[]
In Soul Calibur II, both the razor sword and the great fairy sword appear, the later as a one handed varient and Link's most powerful weapon in the game. However, I don't know the official terminology for swords, and I saw sub-legendary used in the Biggoron article --Magnus orion (talk) 02:22, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the Link in SCII is an adult, so he can hold the Great Fairy Sword with one hand no problem. As the Great Fairy Sword is given by a Great Fairy, is supposedly has magical properties. The Biggoron's Sword is just a expertly crafted sword, powerful yes, but nothing more. However, in Majora's Mask, the only sword to display obvious magical properties is the Fierce Deity Sword. The magic of the spin attack comes from Link not the swords. --Matt (talk) 13:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Great Fairy's Sword and Fierce Deity's Sword[]
From a technical standpoint, and from playing around a bit with the game's code, these two swords actually reference the same value- One is just altered in appearance when Link transforms. This would mean that the energy beam technically comes out of the Fierce Deity himself, and not the sword. Maybe this should be noted in the article? VGMoose (talk) 08:57, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the beams only come out when you swing the sword. Now they are meant to come out of the sword. But this is a early game. That'd be very hard to program. It is easier just to have it come out of Fierce Deity Link. So it is just a corner that was cut. We could say where it comes from, but it is still intended to be from the sword. Unnecessary Page[]
This page seems unnecessary. There are already both a Shield Category and pages for each of these shields. -- Xizor (talk) 09:30, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- That's because it IS unnecessary. The articles on shields are already short enough, we don't need to make yet another article with little information on the shields. This, along with the Shields of Ocarina of Time page, should be promptly deleted: that's what the category Shields is for. Dany36 (talk) 17:35, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- A conclusion never came to this conversation and the page was eventually deleted by me, 12 years later :P — 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤) 17:59, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
