Melanie Rachel Ravenswood 05:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Is his name based off of Gomess the father of the Adams family?

Yeah, I was thinking along the same way. Though unless I'm mistaken, the father of the Addams family spells his name as "Gomez" instead. It would be great if anyone could look up this mini-boss' original japanese name for reference. If its name was altered during the translation progress, the producers might just have taken inspiration from the Addams Family.

most likely they are both based on something mytical spelt completely different. Oni Dark Link 15:13, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Mini Bosses As Characters

Why does Gomess have the "Majora's Mask Characters" category tag? When does a mini-boss count as a character? I'd say if they have dialogue (Garo Master, Keeta, Vire(Ocarle), etc.) they can count, but including random monsters seen in one dungeon doesn't make sense to me.--Fierce Deku (talk) 01:49, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'm inclined to agree. -Minish Link 02:18, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
The framework for this was discussed in the forums at some point, I believe. I don't have the time to find the particular thread right now but I'm pretty sure it's there. If not there, than at some manner of talk page. --AuronKaizer! 04:26, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Is this the forum your thinking of? Gomess receives no mention in that forum and he doesn't have any of the criteria discussed there so I'm going to remove the tag Oni Dark Link 14:10, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

another way to beat Gomess

Hello, I just played the Inverted Stone Tower part of Majora's Mask. When I fought Gomess, I used Deku Nuts on him and the bad bats got scared, too, so I could attack him with my sword. Semerone -- 18:51, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

Then feel free to be bold and add it to the article. It doesn't appear to be protected in any way. Also, please add new comments to the bottom in the future. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 19:04, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you! I just added the Deku Nut part into the article. (Hope it's okay...) Semerone -- 16:46, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

This character shares its name with a monster from the Ultraman series. Should we note that in the article? --BNSF1995, Alive since 1995 03:58, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Nope, unless there's been some sort of confirmation that it's a legitimate reference and not just a coincidence. --AuronKaizer! 05:01, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
