Umm... I am not certain that these thing were ever called "Deku Sales Scrubs". It is always Business Scrubs.Matt (Talk) 02:33, December 20, 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that does sound familiar, I think it was mentioned in both games, actually. Personally, I prefer "Business Scrub" over "Deku Sales Scrub" anyway.Steve 02:38, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I didn't make the page, I just improved the content. I don't think they're Deku Sales Scrubs either, I'm pretty sure it's just Business Scrubs, because I never once remember a reference to a Deku Sales Scrub. Ancblue52 02:44, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
That is consensus enough for me. Moving.Matt (Talk) 03:01, December 20, 2008 (UTC)
I think that there are other games in that these are in as well. The Oracles and The Minish Cap if I remember right.Matt (Talk) 03:05, December 20, 2008 (UTC)
Yes. As soon as you approach the Castle to take Zelda to the market, there is one you guard her from. Also, the Oracles contain them. However, I wasn't entirely confident in my ability to create a lengthy summary of these based on my current memories of the games. I could play again. Ancblue52 03:08, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Akindo Nut[]

I remember reading somewhere online that the Business Scrubs in Majora's Mask were called "Akindo Nuts," although I don't think that name was ever used in the game, at least not in the American version. Anyone know the story behind that? Jimbo Jambo 07:04, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Gather 'round, and listen to my tale. The tale... of the AKINDO NUT (*ominous yet wicked guitar solo*).
They never refer to themselves as individuals -- instead, they refer to their organization as a whole. In the American version, they call said organization the "Business Scrub Association". The Japanese version uses a similar name: Akindo Kyoukai (Akindo = Merchant, kyoukai = company, association, etc.). So, Akindo came from there. Likewise, Deku Scrubs are not called "Deku Scrubs" - they're called "Deku Nattsu" (Deku Nuts). So, logically, Akindo Kyoukai and Deku Nuts could likely be it, right? However, "Akindo Nuts" is never used within either translation of the game. So, then where does "Akindo Nut" come from?
Believe it or not, I'm fairly certain that the term originates in strategy guides for Majora's Mask; they are, as far as I'm aware, the ONLY source that ever refers to them as such. And this isn't a fluke, either -- both the Nintendo Power and Prima guides do this. My best guess? They were running on an old copy of the game that hadn't finished localization. But yeah, that's where the term comes from. —Ando (talk) 02:47, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Ahaaa.... Well, since it comes from a guide, is it worth a redirect you think? It's easy to imagine someone searching for it (I did, in fact). Jimbo Jambo 15:55, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
I could have sworn we already had one... Weird. But yeah, definitely redirect that. No sense in confusing anyone. —Ando (talk) 18:33, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
As a sub-note, it has come to my attention that the Japanese version of The Minish Cap refers to these creatures as Akindo Nuts. How crazy.
