- Yes. As soon as you approach the Castle to take Zelda to the market, there is one you guard her from. Also, the Oracles contain them. Akindo Nut[]
I remember reading somewhere online that the Business Scrubs in Majora's Mask were called "Akindo Nuts," although I don't think that name was ever used in the game, at least not in the American version. Anyone know the story behind that? Jimbo Jambo 07:04, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Gather 'round, and listen to my tale. The tale... of the AKINDO NUT (*ominous yet wicked guitar solo*).
- They never refer to themselves as individuals -- instead, they refer to their organization as a whole. In the American version, they call said organization the "Business Scrub Association". The Japanese version uses a similar name: Akindo Kyoukai (Akindo = Merchant, kyoukai = company, association, etc.). So, Akindo came from there. Likewise, Deku Scrubs are not called "Deku Scrubs" - they're called "Deku Nattsu" (Deku Nuts). So, logically, Akindo Kyoukai and Deku Nuts could likely be it, right? However, "Akindo Nuts" is never used within either translation of the game. So, then where does "Akindo Nut" come from?
- Believe it or not, I'm fairly certain that the term originates in strategy guides for Majora's Mask; they are, as far as I'm aware, the ONLY source that ever refers to them as such. And this isn't a fluke, either -- both the Nintendo Power and Prima guides do this. My best guess? They were running on an old copy of the game that hadn't finished localization.
