Sloppy, needs to be expanded/redone. Perhaps new sections for particular games. A gallery could work at the bottom because there are plenty of images but not enough text. Mases 03:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Majora's Mask?[]

I'm fairly familiar with Majora's Mask, but I don't remember boulders (at least not of the type described here) being present... My best guess would be somewhere in Ikana Canyon, but the only similar hazards I can think of there are Nejiron. Does anyone know where exactly the are? —Ando (talk) 21:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

They are in the Stone Tower (outside the temple).Matt (Talk) 21:07, October 30, 2008 (UTC)
OHHHH, riiiight, I remember that now. I totally forgot that the Stone Tower even existed for a second there. >_> —Ando (talk) 21:10, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Removal Of Merge Template[]

'Rock', and 'Boulder' are two different things. Other then the size, boulders (in the series) usually do some sort of damage to Link when Link touches it. Rocks do nothing but hide enemies, Hearts, etc. Therefore, they should not be merged. User:Austin2862/sig 00:43, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I suppose I agree, since each object's respective uses have remained consistent and consistently different throughout the games. It would be kind of awkward to have to mention both uses for each game. Jimbo Jambo 08:09, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Just because two things sound like they might be two of the same thing does not mean they are. They must have the same/close to the same (with minor changes throughout the series if made such so) to be merged. As stated my Jimbo, they do not, in fact, they are in no way connected to each other except for being items of earth. User:Austin2862/sig 21:52, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
I have to agree here, Both articles could use some shaping up, but I'm removing the tag and placing Improve ones instead. I do think they could be summarized and placed in the Zelda definitions, I mean how much different can boulders and rocks get from game to game? Axiomist (talk) 06:11, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Merge Template Re-added[]

Hey guys. I put the merge template up... before looking at the discussion here. The reason for the merge request, is that there is a bit of confusion as to the difference. For example, on this page we have the 'boulder' from the original LoZ under boulder. However, if you look at the game manual entry for the enemies... http://www.zeldadungeon.net/gallery/albums/Zelda01/Manual%20Scans/North%20American%20Version/Page31.jpg It is listed under 'Rock'. So rather than moving just the Legend of Zelda part... I'm thinking this should just be merged. Mases 22:01, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

I actually took the direction you mentioned and moved the one section to the other page, seeing as how the two items, besides this one discrepancy, are the complete opposites (Boulders remove health, and rocks can release recovery hearts to regain health).Macbook5 04:03, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Macbook5

Skyward Sword[]

In Skyward Sword ther are Boulders found in Faron Woods, Eldin Volcano, and the Earth Temple, Link even needs to escape a giant one Indiana Jones-style, which Ghirahim latter transforms into the boss Scaldera. The Boulders can be rolled similar to how they can be in BotW, and Bokoblins can roll them too. Is there any reason why these Boulders aren't mentioned in the article?
