Alright, first of all, I don't see why we have a new page. Zelda Timeline is good enough, don't you think? I guess if it's really wanted, okay, but I still think it could reasonably fit under Zelda Timeline.
Second of all, why should the individual theories be named after people? I doubt they were the first to think of them. I imagine it would be more prudent to name them after what makes them unique, or just assign them "A" "B" or "Aa" "Ab" type things. Saibh 22:45, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- There's a new page because the existing page would become too huge if all this was added to it. Thus, the theories themselves are partitioned off and placed on their own page. They're named after people for crediting purposes; if you read any of the forum topics where these timelines are being submitted, I put a request for unique and meaningful titles, with the disclaimer that any untitled theories will be simply attributed to the submitter. --Lex 14:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
It says theories, so shouldn't this page be marked with a: {{theory}} ???
- I dunno. You think it's really necessary? The very title of the page serves the same effect. Jimbo Jambo 21:59, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Wow, this page is garbage. Bias much? --Impossible 09:46, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- I placed the theory tag, the other purpose it serves is to place the article in Category: Articles containing theories. Now I realize this entire article is theory, but I'm hoping ZW becomes a reference point for forum theorists.Axiomist (talk) 01:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Random theory[]
Here's the correct timeline: New Zelda game is released-Many people buy the new Zelda game-Some people give up, some people beat it-rinse and repeat.
Yes, it's a joke. True though.
One question: Why is the TALK PAGE in a category? --Galladeon 08:08, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Very good question. The answer is that our good friend Axiomist missed a vital leading colon in his post above, which I've now added. Thanks for pointing out the problem ;) —Adam [ talk ] 17:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Editing Timeline Theories[]
So can we just add our own timeline theory, or is it preferred that we send it through other channels first before it ends up on the page? --NotNamedJohn 06:07, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- At this point in time, please see if your theory is not already presented on the page before considering adding it. There are over 20 different theories that currently exist in the article, and as such, there is high potential for overlap. If your theory is already present on the page somewhere, please just add your username to the title of the theory, for example:
- Before:
- Nerushi's timeline
- After:
- Nerushi/NotNamedJohn's timeline
- Thanks! — ciprianotalk 16:20, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Timeline poll[]
The poll that is included is outdated and I think it would be better to be removed. With the release of ST many changed their timelines. Also, I don't know why but it had little participation as well. Zeldafan1982 15:59, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- I added a note saying that the results of the poll may no longer apply today. Hopefully that is enough. — Abdul [T] [C] [S] 05:29, 4 December 2011 (EST)
YT Theories?[]
Ok, so as I was browsing YouTube (as you do), I saw a solid Zelda timeline theory. It's by,"The Game Theorists" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0RVBTb6wTQ), and I think it's good enough to add. But, if I do, I'm afraid a bunch of YT theorys will take over. shound I add it, and how do we filter "good" YT theories from "Bad" ones? Please give replies on my talk page.Xbox920one (talk) 03:31, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
