The Sunken Chest are recurring objects in The Wind Waker.[1]

Location and uses[]

Sunken Chests are Treasure Chests located on the ocean floor, and they can only be salvaged using an extendable crane. The precise locations of Sunken Chests are nearly impossible to find without the aid of a certain map. Sunken Chests contain Sunken Treasure, which can include Rupees, Pieces of Heart, Special Charts, Ship Parts, and the Sand of Hours.

The Wind Waker[]

With the Grappling Hook, Sunken Chests can be salvaged from the ocean floor in various corners of the Great Sea in The Wind Waker. The precise location of Sunken Chests can be found using Treasure Charts. There are eight Sunken Chests that Link is required to unearth, since each of them contains a Triforce Shard, and the location of each Sunken Chest is revealed from its corresponding Triforce Chart.
