The Subrosian Smelter is a character in Oracle of Seasons.[citation needed] They blow up the obstruction which blocks the Tower of Autumn. If Link can get them Red Ore and Blue Ore, then they can make Hard Ore, which can be used to forge either the Iron Shield or the Mirror Shield, depending on the circumstances.
The Subrosian Smelter, like the rest of their people, is a big fan of dance, shown best as they dance while the Hard Ore is being created. They are one of the few Subrosians who are happy with the Temple of Seasons having fallen into Subrosia, saying it has resulted in more ore being harvested than normal since its arrival.
