Ladders,(Series | HW)[1][2] also known as the Stepladders,(TLoZ)[1] are recurring items and objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[name reference needed]

Location and uses[]

The Legend of Zelda[]

The Stepladder is found in Level 4 in the First Quest and in Level 6 in the Second Quest in The Legend of Zelda. It is used to traverse small spans of Water, Holes, or Lava, which would otherwise block Link's progress. It is used automatically when Link needs to cross any of these obstacles.

Ocarina of Time[]

Majora's Mask[]

The Wind Waker[]

The Minish Cap[]

Ladders are found across Hyrule in The Minish Cap. They can be found inside Trees, Secret Caves, Minish-sized cracks in the Overworld, and within other cave systems throughout the land. They often lead down to rooms that contain Chests or the homes of Forest Picori.

All the Ladders in the game already exist in place with the exception of one; after Link has Fused Kinstone Pieces with all four of the Tingle Siblings?, a Ladder extends down from the center of North Hyrule Field, leading to a large Chest containing the Magical Boomerang.

Twilight Princess[]

Skyward Sword[]

Breath of the Wild[]

Ladders are within shrines and on the sides of some buildings in Breath of the Wild. They enable Link to climb without using Stamina.

Tears of the Kingdom[]

Spinoff appearances[]

BS The Legend of Zelda[]

Zelda's Adventure[]

In Zelda's Adventure, the Ladder can be found next to a tree in the Forest of Ogbam. Its only use is to bridge and cross the giant chasm near the entrance of the Shrine of Earth.

Hyrule Warriors[]

In Hyrule Warriors, Ladders appear as Item Cards in Adventure Mode. Additionally, in the Master Quest DLC Pack, the 8-bit Ladder is the 8-bit Harp weapon used by Sheik, and it has the same sprite as the Ladder in The Legend of Zelda.
