Hyrule Compendium Entry
The Spring-Loaded Hammer is a Hammer that can be obtained from Kilton's Shop, the Fang and Bone, for 199 Mon. It can only be purchased after Link has freed at least one Divine Beast from Calamity Ganon's control. When spoken to after doing so, Kilton will announce the development of the Spring-Loaded Hammer and describe its effects.[2] Unlike other Hammers in Breath of the Wild, the Spring-Loaded Hammer is held with one hand.
When the Spring-Loaded Hammer is used, the fourth hit from a chain of regular attacks will send certain Enemies flying.[1] As it has little strength, it is primarily meant for entertainment. The Spring-Loaded Hammer is not magnetic and cannot be retrieved with Magnesis. This also means that it will not attract Lightning during a Thunderstorm, and it will not conduct Electricity. When dropped into Water, it will float on the surface. When exposed to an open flame, such as a Campfire or a Scorching Climate, it will catch Fire.
