The Spiritual Stone of the Forest being obtained in Ocarina of Time
The Spiritual Stone of the Forest is protected by the Great Deku Tree.[2] In order to obtain it, Link must destroy the parasite that had infested him. After Link defeats Gohma, the Great Deku Tree tells him that the creature's curse had already sealed his fate and dies shortly after giving Link the stone.[3]
