== Welcome ==

Hi Mate, Just a big welcome to the Wiki. Enjoy yourself, and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.{{:User:Melchizedek/sig}}

:Oh to respond to you from before, I copy/pasted the entire character list from OoT characterlist. And then changed the info. I had to delete the gallery tags to see the names though. I can't wait to see your work here, feel free to brag to me about it![[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]]

::Okay, that's good. You're ahead of me copying the OoT character list... As far as my work goes I've made my [[User:Melchizedek]] page, and the talk page attached, and my only wiki edit is the Anju's Grandmothers section of [[The Carnival of Time]], with some help from Adamcox82. Well for the future, I'll use the random page generator, then read them, and edit it to improve them as best I can. Some possible wiki projects I've got as ideas are glitch lists, walkthroughs, and 100% game completion checklists. Look forward to seeing you around. Also, when typing messages in the user talk, make sure you put your name after it, so we know who it's from...{{:User:Melchizedek/sig}}

:::Great ideas! Let me know what they say. I live for 100% completions. I've nearly done it to all of them. Well I was viewing some pages I was interested in, I found quite a bit of things to do.

===Welcome to Zelda Wiki.org===

Hi, welcome to Zelda Wiki.org! Thanks for your contributions.

Here's a wiki tip for you -- you can sign your name on talk/discussion pages by typing <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> which automatically adds your signature and the date.

Check out our [[Help:Contents]] area for more tricks.

Don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! —[[User:Adamcox82|Adam]] ([[User talk:Adamcox82|talk]]) 14:43, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I appreciate what you've done to the Characters Pages I made! It's looking pretty snazzy. I found some images on this site to add to it. But how did you do it? I'm not familiar with this format at all yet. I'm the type that learns by diving in headfirst. Trust me, I couldn't be 'taught' to drive a standard. I had to hop in and drive without anyone else in the car! Thanks for the great tips too!

Here's a little help from me. Your <nowiki>===Me===</nowiki> sign has to be the only thing in the whole line to make it work. So you have to write <nowiki>===Me===</nowiki> then hit enter and write everything and your tag will be correct. Also, i see you ave a lot of userboxes :). If you want, you can neatly arrange them to the left or right by using adam's userbox containers. They're <nowiki>{{usebox container r}} and

{{userbox container l}}</nowiki>. Anyway, have fun, and for more help, come see me in the Chatroom :) --[[User:Seablue254|Seablue254]] 17:08, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

OK! I'll fix that and tidy it up in a second. I copy/pasted it from someone that didn't have all of the games I have. Then I was just guessing what the abbreviations would be. I can't find one for MQ, CE or WW. Be easier to just swipe Adam's, i suppose. :P[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 17:12, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

You really can't "swipe" them. They're open to the public! Youcan find a "Master Collection" [[Userboxes|here]] --[[User:Seablue254|Seablue254]] 17:14, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

== Effin Hellp! ==

I just spent over an hour typing up a page all about Battle Mode of PH! Then I went to save and it said I had an external link. Curious and wanting to stay within the rules, I clicked 'more info'. and bam. Page lost. >([[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 06:15, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

::That's unlucky. It happened to me as well. There's no way I know to recover the page. My suggestion, from what I do, is to type up the article in Word, then copy it to the wiki, and add the wiki format. This way you can also use spell check. The reason the page comes up again for external links, is so you can solve a simple math problem, to show it's not an automated program spamming or something. When clicking for'more details' like that, I suggest right clicking, and choosing open in new window. It's happened to most of us, and with internet glitches and freezings I advise caution as I've learnt from experience.

::Regards,

::{{:User:Melchizedek/sig}}

You're right, no consulation there. xD. It won't happen to me again. Course, I might snicker out lound when I read someone else going through it. The linked word that caused this mess was [[wikipedia:Wi-fi|wi-fi]]. [[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 23:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

:::This won't be much help to you now, but it happened to me once, and I just hit the back button and took off the square brackets so it wasn't a link anymore ;P Seriously though, Mel's right - if you're writing a whole new page, do it in notepad or something first! Or use a better browser, like [[wikipedia:Mozilla Firefox|the fox]]! --[[User:Adamcox82|Adamcox82]] 19:52, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

I just came to mention that these creatures are not, at any point, featured in Oracle of Ages. As someone who just completed the game a few days ago, you can trust me on that. However, feel free to tell me exactly where you think you saw these creatures. I will tell you what they actually are.

Rest assured, they are not present. --[[User:Yuvorias|Yuvorias]]

:I'm 99% certain there was a group of them. I'll go through all of the levels today and get an exact location.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 09:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

::Well, I'll listen to you when you point out they're meant to be. Just message me when you have the location, and I'll check it out myself. --[[User:Yuvorias|Yuvorias]], 19:22, 30 April 2008 (EST)

I took it off. I didn't get to play the game today, but I looked around online-no luck. If I find them in the game I'll add it back with a location ;).[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 01:17, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I notice you've been hard at work on this article. So, I'll give you a bit of information for it!

200-299 points: 20 bombs

300+ points: Gasha Seed

:That's a good find, You should definately add it. I didn't even think to check it while I was poking around OoA. I was looking to see why a seperate page existed for the Rolling ridge one mainly. I noticed your name to a lot of the OoX games. I respect that bc most fans skip these games.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 05:51, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

::It's a large pain that it happens, but. Still, as these games are un-re-released yet, there's little that can be done about it. I'll add it. --[[User:Yuvorias|Mr. Mystery]], 15:35, 6 May 2008 (EST)

The closest there is to a name for that child is the multi-ending book, where he's called Bipsom by Link. He's never mentioned in either of the mangas. Come to think of it, i don't think we have a page for those books either... [[User:Yuvorias|Mr. Mystery]], 16:11, 6 May 2008 (EST)

:I see that on his parents page. I have no idea what it means tho. Please clue me in or make the page. I'll make the kid's page like I said. Son of- nothing noncanonical in that.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 06:14, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

::Alright, when I get a spare moment, I'll be able to show this entire Wiki what I mean. I'll let you make the page, and I'll improve it if needed. --[[User:Yuvorias|Mr. Mystery]], 16:25, 6 May 2008 (EST)

:::Oh, it'll be needed, I don't have all of the information on hand. I do better making the page, sleeping on it, and getting back to it after others have had a chance to add what's obvious to them.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 06:27, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Awesome, I've never seen those before. I've seen one for OoT, but I didn't buy it. That's certainly worth it's own page. Your knowledge of Oox might be enough to solve the puzzle I made for it. Do you use ZU or any other forum?[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 07:06, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I've seen them. They're pretty impressive! --[[User:Yuvorias|Mr. Mystery]], 17:38, 6 May 2008 (EST)

:Thanks, It's one thing to draw a picture, but a whole other beast to make it a multilayered puzzle. I'm working on a simple LoZ one. Those are extremely hard, I'm told. I couldn't tell being the one that put it all together.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 07:43, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

::The Oracle one is better than the Ocarina one, but they're both good :) At any rate, I'm getting off now. I've been on for about 12 hours. I'll finish the Oracle of Seasons page tommorrow. see you later --[[User:Yuvorias|Mr. Mystery]], 17:44, 6 May 2008 (EST)

==Game names==

Hey there, little tip for when you're using the game name shortcut templates. You should always use <nowiki>{{subst:INITIALS}}</nowiki> (like it says [[Template:OOA|here]]), this inserts the actual full text instead of just linking back to the template (I know the visible result is the same, but this is the better way to do it) ;) --[[User:Adamcox82|Adamcox82]] 19:03, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

:Oh, sorry about that. I didn't test the thing, I previewed post and thought it was all the same. I like that there is a shortcut, bc I got tired of typing The Legend of Zelda: game name: game name. over and over again. I'll commit the tag to memory. ;)[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 02:11, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

==Hey Hey==

I was playing Link's Awakening last night, and it reminded me of an important question:

Did you ever find the Three-Of-A-Kind in Oracle of Ages? I look everywhere, and I couldn't find them. --[[User:Yuvorias|Mr.Mystery]], 10:44, 14 June 2008 (EST)

:I haven't had a chance to look. I knew I'd be busy bc I'm moving later this month so I thought I removed the reference from the Three of a Kind page. If I find a Three-of-a-Kind, then I'll put it back up. I plan to replay the game to get info on the Secrets sidequests eventually. Zelda Wiki doesn't seem to have any info on the Secrets Sidequests, so if you know the stuff, then go for it. But I'll be playing it anyway until my internet gets hooked back up after moving.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 06:30, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

::I know those quests! I'll help out. We should make this all one one page. just like the warping and gambling.--[[User:Matt|Matt]] 06:58, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

:Coolness, I don't have any onhand info other than the names of the secrets in Farore's books. So I wouldn't be able to help very much without a linked game playthrough. The 3 of us should pwn this tho.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 07:20, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

::I know most it. With three people working on it, we can make it look real good. But later on today. It's almost 2:30 AM where I am. I typically don't do my best work when I'm too tired.--[[User:Matt|Matt]] 07:27, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Same time here, I'm just adding the Secret names before I crash. I'll get to the whole thing later too.[[User:Axiomist|Axiomist]] 07:33, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

::Your welcome. I think the article is looking great but with so many people editing it, what probably happened was that they wanted to expand a sentence, instead of adding a comma and removing the 'and'- just tacked on another one. Thereby leaving much of the statements with 3-4 'ands' in it. I noticed the 'Goron Game' from PH was overlooked, I added it in and will expand it to make up for shortening the article with a little bit of proofreading to bring some of the statements together.{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 14:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Wow! Looks pretty cool. Must've taken a long time. So what exactly is the goal? {{:User:Alter/sig}} 05:46, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

:Thanks, It took less time than it would seem, the art of it was almost instant, getting the picture to have 4 intertwined puzzles took 2-3 weeks. The goal is to solve all 4 puzzles, They are not obvious at first glance, but to begin, look around and find out what's wrong. After each step is solved you will have something necessary for the following step.{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 06:54, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Ahh... so the puzzle is to figure out what you need to solve. Clever. I'll get started on it as soon as I have enough time! ;) {{:User:Alter/sig}} 07:31, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

:Well that is a part of it, it makes sense once you see it. Even when you get to a difficult part hang in there, bc this puzzle offers a very unique puzzle experience. I assure you that there's nothing else like it. Except the others I've made, but even so those are radically different as well. Oh, One favor, when you want to verify your answers or anything that would spoil the puzzle for anyone else, would you pm me at ZU or msn messenger?{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 07:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Congrats on becoming a patroller. Never would of thought back when we joined, that we'd both be patrollers less than a year later. Congrats again.{{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 21:30, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

:Nor I, Keep in touch, at the very least to give me pointers. It was a fairly daunting task, patrolling last night, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Congrats to you, belated I know, but I think I was away during your promotion.{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 22:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

:Thanks. Back in January I think it was... Definately. Don't hesitate to ask if you need to any help. When I started there was sometimes edits I wasn't sure whether they were up to standards so had to ask some other opinions before I could patrol them and address them. Now, I'd assume you know the basics of patrolling... but are you aware of the "Rollback" Feature? {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 20:26, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

:Yea, I've been bugging Matt and Mandi with questions. I'm not entirely certain what the rollback will do, Matt said to be careful with it bc it doesn't ask questions. Patrolling is getting me to take a look at articles I'd otherwise avoid, so expect tons of improvements xD. I'm prioritizing the patrols over the things I want to do here, so I'll be working as hard as I can to keep the backlog down :P{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 20:31, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

::Feel free to turf Q's to me if you want, now that I'm back active. Okay, the Rollback feature, with minimal clicks will undo all the recent edits a user has done to that page, up to the latest version by another user. It is a good feature to getting vandals or many pointless edits. If there is only one edit, then it works the same as the undo edit feature. As Matt and Mandi have said, you probably don't need to use it, but it's good to be aware of it. To demonstrate, pretend these are edits of a page:

::1:User A

::2:User A

::3:User B

::4:User A

::5:user B

::Using the rollback feature would rollback through edits or undo edits 1 and 2 by user A, up to user B, but not undo any edits made by User A (Edit 4), before user B (Edit 3).

::I hope that explains it good and proper. {{:User:Melchizedek/sig}} 20:39, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

:::Wow, I think that clears it up completely. Not to worry, If I know you are online I'll add you to my spread of questions, lol.{{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 20:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

there's also a Youtube vid. This should be an article.

==not to disapoint,but...==

I am afraid I am not very experinced in the way of editing,but my nolage of zelda is fast. As you can tell my spelling is medioker at best so I might not be as helpful as most others. If it is simple linking errors or something like that I might be able to help,but unless I am given direct orders I probly won't catch it. I'm happy to help any way I can how ever--[[User:Griffen78|Griffen78]] 20:45, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

:Ok, you could use a spell check, a dictionary at your desk, or something but I can always forgive bad spelling. If it makes sense and adds details to a page it's pretty painless to clean up. If you'd like to work on linking errors we'd appreciate that too. You can always look around at pages and make sure that too many of the same words aren't linked in each paragraph found. For example, "Link" might be the most common word used here, some people tend to pipe link every instance of his name. We think a few times on a page is ok, but we don't really like it pipelinked much in one paragraph. {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 02:28, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

I will start scaning the wiki for red links probly tommarrow so if I can I will try actualy adding info. to the wiki,but for now fixing links or removeing links is all you will find under my name for a while. If any thing of that sort comes up please drop me a line. I will happily fix it.--[[User:Griffen78|Griffen78]] 03:37, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

::Oh the red links are what we call Wanted Pages, you can find a list of them all in the navigation bar. We don't try to remove them just to not have them, but try to make sure it's spelled right and stuff like that so that someone could make the page someday. Another thing that would be easy to do is find some images that would fit well on other pages and post them there. Also if you see some articles and get some ideas, you can post them in the discussion page and someone will get to work on it ASAP. Hope I'm helping you out. Feel free to ask any questions you have. {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 03:42, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

==Ahh, back==

Kinda, sorta somewhat for now, I need to install everything on my pc, twere a horrible crash and I had to be stupid and think, ok, I might just as well upgrade my mobo, get a 64 amd, and a new graphics card, it did nothing, so I found the problem to be my old weak Powersupply, I test it and Viola I'm back! {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 21:20, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

:We were all wondering what happened to you. We assumed a computer crash or some other technological mishap :/ Actually, my computer crashed about a week ago and I had to have it reformatted. Anyways, good to hear you're back. I'll take you off the inactive staff list now ;){{:User:Mandi/sig}} 21:33, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

:If you can figure out a way that Zelda Dungeon's coding for the post count to sync with the Wiki's, we'd be more than happy too, infact it would make things easier.{{:User:Steven/sig}} 01:01, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

::I'll bring it up with the staff and bureaucrats on skype, but my expectations are low. The sites aren't in sync as much as would be necessary, but with things like OpenID starting to work across sites, who knows what's possible. In the meantime, limit yourself to updating your post count rarely. {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 01:06, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

== Signature Requests? ==

Hi there Axiomist. I was wondering if you took signature requests (signatures here, that is) because I think your one is really great. Anyway, do you take any requests? I don't really mind what it looks like as long as it's visible unlike my eye sore current signature.

:Well I never have, but I guess I could start new things :p. The only thing bad about your current sig is the colors really. It blends into the wiki colors like snipers in training. ya kinda see it and kinda don't. {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 03:25, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

::Yeah, that's why I don't like my current signature really. It blends in too much and looks a little boring. So, do you take requests or are you too busy?

:::I'll try things out in the Sandbox and you can decide to keep, tweak, or trash what goes in. k? {{:User:Axiomist/sig}} 03:31, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
