Hey, I never thanked you for that welcome message, so thanks! RazTwilight 07:11, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

No problem ;)User:Mandi/sig 15:27, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
As well as RazTwilight, I would like to thank you for the welcome message too! How did you get your user-page to say what zelda games you have? Thanks for your support :) Green-Link 07:19, 03 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi Green-Link, those are called userboxes. We have a large selection, which can be found here. For help on how to put them on your page, read the short tutorial here.User:Steven/sig 15:33, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
An example, on the list page, there's a section "Required code", by copying and pasting that code onto your page, you will get the userbox. If I paste

{{User owns LoZ}} the I'll get Template:User owns LoZ

And to keep them organized, put the userbox codes between {{Userbox container r|}} and |} User:Steven/sig 15:40, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

RE:Hello & User Sig

My pleasure, it's simply what I do. Though I may not have extensive knowledge about the Legend of Zelda series, nor very much knowledge of it at all (seeing as how, sadly, I've never completed a single game in it, or gotten very far for that matter), I do, fortunately enough, have sufficient grasp of the English language. If I cannot offer new material, at the very last I may still be able to revise information.

Quite so, though they don't generally deter me. -§tigma-231 »₩hen the blazing sun is gone[talk][cont] 04:19, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Ah, my apologies. That was the signature format I generally use in most wikis. I hope this is better? -§tigma-231 »[talk][cont] 05:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, that is better. Though, sub-pages are the way to go (I have one) You can still do all that stuff like color change, links, ect. But, yeah, this is better.User:Mandi/sig 05:32, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Excellent, and I usually use sub-pages, but I wanted to see if I could go without creating a page exclusively for me and my signatures this time. I believe it's working well enough thus far. -§tigma-231 »[talk][cont] 05:50, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Welcome messages

Hi (or hello?)

Just a quick note on welcoming new users to the wiki; I've noticed that recently you've used either the wrong template or incorrect formatting to do this. The correct (and only) way we should be using the welcome templates is:

{{subst:hi|<yourusernamehere>}}

I've noticed a lot of variations on this, mainly either forgetting to "subst" or using the Hello tempalte directly, but neither are correct. The subst is necessary as it places the entire paragraph of text in the user's talk page (a lot clearer and easier to understand/respond to for a new or inexperienced user). Using the Hello template is not appropriate as it misses off the section header; also, why would you want to type something longer than necessary? ;) Please don't think I'm nagging for the sake of it, I just think that with so few of us actually doing the welcoming, it'd be nice to get some consistency going. Thanks! User:Adam/sig 07:11, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Someone used copy and paste. You made a spelling error.
I might also add that you should change the edit summary to say Welcome. That makes it look more professional.User:Matt/sig 08:22, February 6, 2009 (UTC)
Will do. I have seen several users type {{Hello|USERNAME}}, and seeing how both ways work, I was wondering if I was using the wrong method :P Thank you for clearing that up ;)User:Mandi/sig 16:34, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Okay, Matt will remember that as well.
Wait, a Hello template and a Hi template!? I was unaware of that, my apologies.User:Mandi/sig 16:37, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Improve Template

I noticed you've been placing the improve template on many of these new TRR pages, however, the template is usually used in articles that are unorganized and lacking in detail, not necessarily that they're short. The stub template is a better choice.User:Steven/sig 18:36, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Didn't know that :P I'll go and replace it then.User:Mandi/sig 18:37, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

I was learning how to do basicly this and I decided to make it worth wile.

I ment not to ofend eney one I tryed onley to find out how to edit pages so i could do my profile. I hope I did not do enything wrong...did i?

Mandi is merely following the rules of the wiki. There is nothing personal here. We have certain standards here on Zelda Wiki (found here). Your edits simply fail to meet these standards and are not acceptable. We require a certain level of professionalism here. Any content that is not up to par with the standards is removed. That is the rules.User:Matt/sig 04:34, February 11, 2009 (UTC)

Umm

That might not have been the best edits on the Goron page. I did three =s to make subsections within each Section(game) The gametitle was serving as an overview and the intention of the subsections was to add some sanity to the massive walls of text. Now the content table looks jumbled. Let me know what you were planning, bc i think it should be reverted.User:Axiomist/sig 06:02, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I tweaked it a bit. Now the game titles stand out more. Improving readability.User:Matt/sig 06:35, March 1, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that was my fault there, sorry about that :PUser:Mandi/sig 06:39, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Matt, was it an oversight, or is this how you think would be best: The Trivia and References are now subsections of PH.?User:Axiomist/sig 06:41, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm guessing that was something that I missed. This seems to be your project page. Do what you will with it.User:Matt/sig 08:14, March 1, 2009 (UTC)

Will do, I'm fairly new to the Goron project, we need something fresh in the featured articles rotation. Sorry to take this all up in your talk page Mandi.User:Axiomist/sig 17:26, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Haha! Hardly a lot of space taken :PUser:Mandi/sig 18:00, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
