Silver Shrine is a Level in Tri Force Heroes.[1] It is the third Level of the Ice Cavern area.

Themes and Navigation[]

Silver Shrine serves as the last stretch to the Ice Temple of the Ice Cavern, where the Links climb the remainder of the mountain and gradually make their way closer to the temple. The Level features numerous Moles that are used to climb the ledges, by pounding them with the Magic Hammers provided in the Level. The Level also features icicles, which may conceal items such as Hearts and Rupees. These can be shattered with the Hammer.

In Stage 1, the Links begin at a snowy field with trees with crystallized leaves. Up ahead are three Magic Hammers surrounded by wooden posts. As these posts normally require the Hammers to pound down, the Links must instead form a Totem and throw each other over to acquire the Hammers. To the north of the items are a group of Moles which can be pounded down with the Hammers, allowing them to spring the Links up the ledges. To the right of these Moles is a small lake with a few items scattered about. When the heroes reach the higher ledge they cross a narrow bridge of ice tiles to another set of Moles. Tall wooden posts prevent the Links from being sprung up to the ledge above, with the exception of one Mole on a shorter ledge that will spring the Links up to an opening. Two of the Links must be thrown onto this ledge and use the Mole to reach the ledge above. These two Links can then form a Totem to pound the tall posts, allowing the third Link to spring up and reunite with them. Several more Moles lead to the Triforce Gateway. A Chest encountered along the way contains a red Rupee.

In Stage 2, the Links reappear higher up the mountain. Upon using the Moles to spring them up to the next platform, the Links are faced against a group of Terrorpins. These enemies can be flipped onto their backs and their vulnerable underbellies exposed by using the Magic Hammer, which will also work against the Terrorpins stacked on top of each other. After they are defeated, a lift will lower and rise the Links to the next platform, where they face more Terrorpins atop a sheet of ice tiles over a pit. The Links must be careful while attacking the Terrorpins, as the Hammer will also break the ice flooring as well. However, the Terrorpins can be knocked into the pits beneath the ice if it is broken. After they are defeated, a wall lowers revealing another set of Moles that will spring the Links to the Triforce Gateway.

Stage 3 is a snowy walkway. The heroes climb a set of stairs to three Moles and a moving platform. The Links must time their strike so the Moles will spring them onto this platform. A heavy switch rests just beyond the platform, which pressing with all three Links will open a gateway. The Links then enter a section of the Stage with icy floors, where more Terrorpins and sliding Mini Freezards are found. A Chest beside one of the icicles contains a red Rupee. Moles at the end are used to spring the Links to the next ledge, where they find a much taller Mole next to a raised Switch. The Links must form a Totem to pound the Mole and hit the Switch, which will create a timed platform that the Links must spring onto before it disappears. This is easiest if the switch is triggered after the Mole is pounded. On the other side is another heavy switch, which pressing will open the wall to the next Triforce Gateway.

In Stage 4, the Links appear at the very top of the mountain, where they fight three Deadrocks on a platform. These enemies can only be defeated with the Hammer. After they are defeated, a bridge appears leading to an ice-covered platform where three more Deadrocks are fought. The Links must be cautious, as the icy floor will cause them to lost traction. After the last of the Deadrocks are defeated, a gate lowers to another set of Moles leading to the last Triforce Gateway.
