Shadow Kargaroks,[1] also known as Monstrous Birds,[2] are enemies in Twilight Princess.
Characteristics[]
Shadow Kargaroks are Kargaroks that have been transformed by the effects of the Twilight. They attack in the same way as normal Kargaroks, although their bodies are black, their heads are concave, and they make trumpet-like sounds.
Wolf Link first encounters Shadow Kargaroks on the Castle Rooftops, but they can also be found in other Twilit regions. In the Twilit lakebed of Lake Hylia, a Shadow Bulblin uses the Hawk Grass to summon Twilit Carrier Kargarok. After defeating the Bulblin, the Kargarok carries Link and Midna to Upper Zora's River.[3]
