The Scimitar of the Seven is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses[]
Breath of the Wild[]
Hyrule Compendium Entry
Used alongside the Daybreaker, the Scimitar of the Seven was a Weapon used by the Gerudo Champion Urbosa.[1] This Scimitar belongs to the Gerudo Gear equipment archetype, which is a series of Weapons created and utilized by the Gerudo.[3] It is said that Urbosa's movements resembled a dance while she used the Scimitar in battle.[1]
Riju will gift Link both the Scimitar of the Seven and the Daybreaker after completing the "Divine Beast Vah Naboris" Main Quest.[4] She believes that, since Link was friends with Urbosa, they should be in his possession.[5][6] They can be found in a pair of Treasure Chests behind Riju's Throne in the Royal Palace. If Link loses the Scimitar of the Seven, he can go to Buliara to replace it, though it will cost him one Diamond, five pieces of Flint, and a Gerudo Scimitar.[7]
The Scimitar of the Seven is made of metal, and will therefore attract Lightning if it is equipped during a Thunderstorm. This also means that it is capable of conducting Electricity. It will sink if dropped in the Water, but it can be picked up again using the Magnesis Rune. In addition, it will not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
Other Appearances[]
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity[]
Alongside the Daybreaker, the Scimitar of the Seven is exclusively wielded by Urbosa in combat. She wielded it against the Yiga Clan after exposing her impersonator, Master Kohga, who was responsible for the Gerudo attacking Link, Zelda, and Impa while she was away. She attempts to swipe at Sooga and Kohga, but they flee before they can strike. She also points it at the Monster on her way to Hyrule Castle. She uses it to battle Thunderblight Ganon inside Divine Beast Vah Naboris.
