Santa is mentioned only once, by Holly. Link is forced to enter her House via the chimney due to the snow covering her walkway, and she mistakes him for Santa.[1]

- In reality, Santa is a mythical figure that comes down people's chimneys on Christmas Eve to leave them presents. Holly likely mistakes Link for Santa because he too entered through the chimney.
- In the British English version of the game, Holly instead mistakes Link for a chimney sweep.[2]
- Holly is a plant often associated with Christmas. Holly's name may be a reference to this.
