(Admittedly the game does recommend snapping. But again...I suck at it.) |

The Salvage Arm is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. This add-on to the S.S. Linebeck allows Link to salvage chests from the bottom of the sea. The price pays to buy this from Eddo on Cannon Island is determined by how loudly Link yells for it, though simply blowing hard enough or snapping of fingers can result in a low price. The Salvage Arm is needed to salvage the Sun Key. While salvaging, if the Salvage Arm hits an Octomine or a rock, it loses one Diamond, which indicate the Salvage Arm's health in the same manner as Link's Hearts. After all available Diamonds are depleted, the Salvage Arm will be rendered useless and must be taken back to the Shipyard on Mercay Island for repairs. If the Salvage Arm is damaged to any degree, it may be repaired for a small fee, the amount dependent on the damage. However, if completely damaged, repairs cost 100 Rupees.
