The Salona are a race from Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. They are mysterious, hooded figures that can be found throughout the three continents, running bodyguard salons, where Tingle can hire bodyguards.

The Salona's ancestors once fought against an evil creature that took over the world. They successfully defeated the entity, but a curse was placed on them, causing them to fear the sunlight. Because of this, the Salona are forced to forever wear thick, hooded robes to protect them from light exposure.

The Salona bear striking resemblance to the Subrosians from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. They look extremely similar, although one contradiction is that the Subrosians lived in the subterranean country of Subrosia, while the Salona live above ground.
