Five-Star Isles is located in the southeastern corner of the Great Sea, that is made up of thin rock spires in the shape of the Cassiopeia constellation. Even though Link cannot physically traverse the "isles" themselves (unlike the Kargaroc birds), several perks in the surrounding area make the visit to his island chain worthwhile. First, a Piece of Heart can be retrieved by entering a submarine nearby, and erradicating all the enemies within. Link can locate and obtain a second Piece of Heart by sailing to the marker set near this island chain by Treasure Chart #33, the chart of which is found in Windfall Island.

This island is also a recurring destination of the Ghost Ship, seen only the night when the moon is at its waxing crescent phase: simply when the moon is ")"-shaped in the night sky.

Seven-Star Isles

Template:Place

Seven-Star Isles is located in the northeastern region of the Great Sea, north of Dragon Roost Island. When looking from above, this island chain resembles the Big Dipper region of the popular constellation Ursa Major.

Of the three island chains in The Wind Waker, the Seven-Star Isles carries the most weight in terms of treasure and significance in comparison to the other two. Near the isles, a Big Octo is hidden underwater, which, upon defeat, will leave a Heart Piece behind. Another Triforce Shard is found at the bottom of the sea in close proximity to the island after using the Triforce Chart obtained in Stone Watcher Island to locate it. Link can also retrieve Treasure Chart #16 in this isle by destroying all the rock-mounted cannons positioned strategically amongst the isle's rock spires. This is the only archipelago in the game that isn't visited by the Ghost Ship.
