The Ruvo Korbah Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Major Test of Strength+,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild. It is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack.

Entrance to the Shrine[]

The Ruvo Korbah Shrine is located on the Great Plateau south of the Temple of Time. It is one of four Ancient Shrines that appear on the Great Plateau as part of the "EX The Champions' Ballad" Main Quest.

To access the Ancient Shrine, Link must defeat the various Enemies that appear at this location during the trial.[2] These include a Lizalfos, Fire-Breath Lizalfos, a Bokoblin, Blue Bokoblins riding Stalhorses, and a Black Moblin. After the last Enemy is defeated, Ruvo Korbah Shrine will rise up from beneath the ground. As Link enters the Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Ruvo Korbah.[3]

Themes and Navigation[]

The Ruvo Korbah Shrine first appears to be like any other Major Test of Strength, with a Guardian Scout IV appearing to fight Link and a small room in the back unlocking upon its defeat. However, only a Treasure Chest containing a bundle of ten Bomb Arrows and a Floor Switch are found in the room instead of the Monk's Pedestal.

If Link stands on the Floor Switch, the central platform on which the Guardian Scout entered on will descend back down, allowing Link entry to a lower section of the Ancient Shrine. Here Link will encounter several Guardian Scouts, a Treasure Chest containing a Giant Ancient Core, and another Chest containing a Small Key. The Small Key opens a locked portcullis, beyond which lies the final room of the Shrine. Here, Link must defeat four different Guardian Scouts as they shoot lasers at him from afar.

Once all of the Guardian Scouts have been defeated, the portcullis in the back of the room opens, and Link will be able to reach the Monk's Pedestal. Ruvo Korbah grants him a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial.[4] The Monk then wishes Link well before fading away.[5]
