The Ruto Lake is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is located in the Lanayru Great Spring region of Hyrule in the province Lanayru. Ruto Lake is also the source of Zora River in Breath of the Wild.
Like many locations in Breath of the Wild, Ruto Lake is named after a character from a previous game, namely Princess Ruto. However it is not the only location to bear Ruto's name as Ruto Mountain and Ruto Precipice near the lake also share this distinction.
