A two-handed sword issued to the Hyrulean royal family's immediate guard detail. Its powerful strikes are said to crush an opponent's body and resolve alike.

Royal Claymores are part of the Royal Gear. Royal Claymores are two-handed Weapons intended to be wielded by the Hylian Royal Family. They have a base attack damage of 52. Royal Claymores are scattered throughout Hyrule. They can be found on the necklaces of Hinox once the player is late in the game. Stalnox can also drop royal claymores when they are defeated, especially the one within the lockup of Hyrule Castle. Other high-tier enemies, such as Silver Moblins, may also use royal claymores.

A variant of the Royal Claymore, the Royal Guard's Claymore, is colored black and purple and it has more damage dealt with one hit, with the flaw of less durability.
