Ring-Shaped Rocks are Objects in Skyward Sword.[1][note 1]
Location and Uses[]
There are many Ring-Shaped Rocks scattered throughout the Sky. They look like the Sky's standard floating boulders, except for a hole in the center. This hole gathers a mysterious energy that can propel Flying Loftwings to high speeds.

- ↑ Ring-Shaped Rocks were referred to as Shortcut Stones in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword — Prima Official Game Guide by Prima Games.[2] However, as this contradicts the name given in-game, it is not considered Canon.

I've heard there's some kind of unknown energy that builds up in the center of those big rocks. So get this: if you fly your Loftwing through a hole, you'll come blasting out like you were shot out of a cannon. I hear all the hotshot knights use this trick to cover huge distances in a hurry." — Croo (Skyward Sword)
