- "You got some Hot Pumpkin Soup! This homemade soup is Pumm's specialty, but watch it! It'll get cold in five minutes!"
- — In-game description
Pumpkin Soup is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It is a renowned delicacy served only at the Lumpy Pumpkin on the Pumpkin Landing, its price being 10 Rupees for one helping. This hot soup is kept in a bottle; when five minutes have passed, the soup will become cold. Hot soup restores eight of Link's Heart Containers, while cold soup restores only four. As part of Link's set of tasks to be done for Pumm in order to repay him for the chandelier he broke, Link must deliver a bottle of Hot Pumpkin Soup to Eagus in Skyloft before it becomes cold.
At one point, Link must call forth the elusive spirit of the skies, Levias. Every year, Pumm makes an offering of Pumpkin Soup, stored in a large basin shaped like a pumpkin; however, due to the appearance of a mighty thunderhead around the area in which Levias resides, he is unable to complete this delivery himself. He leaves it to Link and LD-301S Scrapper to make a safe delivery to Levias.
In Hyrule Warriors, the large Pumpkin shaped basins filled with Pumpkin Soup appear in the Land in the Sky story scenario. Like in Skyward Sword, is used to summon the aid of Levias. During the story, Link must protect Fi as she transports these basins to locations where the Hyrulean Forces need to create path. Later after Link calls upon the Great Fairy, she has her fairies dangle an even larger basin of soup from a Fishing Pole, which Levias consumes whole, giving him the power to weaken Volga allowing Link and Fi to defeat him.
Pumpkin Soup plays the same role in the Land of the Sky story scenario as it did in Hyrule Warriors. Additionally, Pumpkin Soup appears as a Food item for Companion Fairies and is classified as a Drink-based food item. Like all food items, there are 3 different grades: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
